This is a simple quite place that has a few benches and a few small metal tables that will seat two people comfortably but a maximum of three people. It is very shady and an opening that is like something from Alice in Wonderland which makes this downtowns best kept secret. It has pleasant water fountain that they city runs in the spring and summer so the back ground noise is downtown cars but also a babbling brook.

That designer was a genius. Look for the iron work near the park and see how many organic entities you can identify, ie dragonflies, frogs and even spirit trees. Water elements and awesome intimate places to chill.

I love this pocket park! What an oasis in the concrete desert, mature trees, the sound of water, birds. There is adequate seating, benches and tables and chairs. It gets crowded during lunch during the weekdays depending on the weather. I prefer the park when its a little quieter of course but regardless its one of the loveliest little gems in the city Ive happened upon. Apparently you can rent the park for events too.

Pretty lil respite in the heart of center city. I miss reading & having ny lunch there when I worked in CC. Not open late, occasionally closed for private events, not huge so sometimes theres no seating- have a back up plan.

This park is a great place to eat lunch, its very small so it can get busy, but its nice and has a lot of shade. Also one more note, due to the location and size there is no grass.

This oasis is just blocks away from Independence Hall. Though often crowded, especially on weekends, people pass in and out quickly.I never go to Philadelphia without visiting this park.
