Its a small but pretty & very relaxing little park, with places to sit & eat & also has a fountain.
This is a simple quite place that has a few benches and a few small metal tables that will seat two people comfortably but a maximum of three people. It is very shady and an opening that is like something from Alice in Wonderland which makes this downtowns best kept secret. It has pleasant water fountain that they city runs in the spring and summer so the back ground noise is downtown cars but also a babbling brook.
I love this pocket park! What an oasis in the concrete desert, mature trees, the sound of water, birds. There is adequate seating, benches and tables and chairs. It gets crowded during lunch during the weekdays depending on the weather. I prefer the park when its a little quieter of course but regardless its one of the loveliest little gems in the city Ive happened upon. Apparently you can rent the park for events too.
Cute, but kinda small
Beautiful pocket park between two streets. Lovely fountain and landscape design in honor of a famous landscape architect. Wine served/sold Thursday and Friday after 4 PM.
Pretty lil respite in the heart of center city. I miss reading & having ny lunch there when I worked in CC. Not open late, occasionally closed for private events, not huge so sometimes theres no seating- have a back up plan.
My favorite Philly secret. So quiet! You wouldn’t think this was here from the hustle and bustle outside.
Great place to sit. A wonderful peacefully courtyard with plentiful seating.
Cute little in the heart of the city. Great place to sit and have lunch and many people have already discovered.
If you find this place, you will realize what a great little outdoor gem it is when the weather is right in Philly
Small park. Very cute but noisy surroundings.
There for a Wine bar experience?
Honestly I love this place but I can never go because the hours suck. Should be open dawn to dusk or something.
This park is a great place to eat lunch, its very small so it can get busy, but its nice and has a lot of shade. Also one more note, due to the location and size there is no grass.
Cute tranquil little park with a fountain. Perfect for relaxing on one of the many comfortable benches with a book. Hasnt been overly busy in the evening ( post 5 PM) however Im not sure about other times. They have wine garden events on certain days in the summer ( Wednesday through Friday from 4 to 9 PM)
5 stars in truth. Want to keep this countrynewb-free.
This oasis is just blocks away from Independence Hall. Though often crowded, especially on weekends, people pass in and out quickly.I never go to Philadelphia without visiting this park.
Great little hideaway in the middle of center city Philadelphia
Nice little park that has some good seating area for a quick lunch outside. Plenty of shade from the sun so you can also be out there in the middle of the day. The gates close in the evening.
A beautiful oasis in the middle of the concrete jungle....a gem.
A small place to get away in a busy area
A relaxing place to enjoy lunch!
Tiny park chairs and tables. Perfect for a takeout lunch. A hidden gem.
This is my favorite spot in the city. Its cutely tucked in the hustle and bustle of Center City. Its a quiet and safe place to take a breather in the middle of the work day.
A little green oasis in the middle of busy Center City
It is truly a good place to get a coffie
Nice little park that kinda sneaks up on you. Quiet place, gated entrance. Had a little path way, some trees and benches and some sculpture/art. Great place to sit and have a coffee.
Such a tranquil peaceful place
Very nice little park. But packed fire lunch but still very nice
Nice small park to relax in. There are many places to by food and drinks near by. Its also a location that is heavily visited by pokemon go players. The only thing I do hate about this park is how often it closes for private events. Its really annoying.
Beautiful escape in the middle of the city
Nice little park in the middle of the city. Water feature, seating, greenery- a good escape from the hustle and bustle.
This is one of Chestnut Streets best kept secrets. It is cozy, surprisingly quiet, and a great place to eat lunch or just take a break.
An oasis in center city. Surrounded by high walls covered in vines with trees and a waterfall fountain. Best place to escape the bustle of chestnut for your lunch break
Awesome tiny quaint park with great waterfalls. On fridays there is a winery that offers wine tastings up to 9pm.
Waterly wonderful
A welcomed rest stop during a shopping spree.
Great little known park. Never crowded and can always find a place to sit.
I wish I had this park in my yard.
Nice little park, artsy fountain, quiet lunch place
It is always clean and easy to move around.
Nice little park in the middle of Center City.
I’m not a landscape architect, but this has gotta be one of the best-designed small public spaces in the city & region, if not nationwide.
Clean narrow place. . . Always Sunny In Philadelphia filmed across the street for roughly 18 seconds 9/18/2013
So intimate! I loved it.
A hidden gem in he middle of the city. Its my lunch time escape!!!
