On Friday June 26, 2020 I was crossing the Betsy Ross bridge around noon. I was part of a funeral procession. We had traveled from Wilmington Delaware up I95 and were headed to Cinnaminson for the burial. I wanted to thank the police officer who so kindly held the traffic back from the procession. I was last in line and when I looked in my rear view mirror it brought me to tears. Thank you for being so kind and thoughtful. Your actions were very much appreciated. Thank you for your service and please stay safe.

It’s always a clear ride. Never any traffic. Way better than the Ben Franklin and Walt Whitman. No bumps. Best bridge between NJ & PA.

As far as bridges go this is one is pretty cool and very enjoyable to drive over (except the toll part). Viewing it from the side doesn’t do it justice, you have to go over to truly experience it. As you go over the bridge’s rise, and huge metal constructions start flying by overhead, it makes you consider just how many men, hours and tons of steel it all took.

If you want to go to Northeast or even South Philadelphia and youre coming from Cherry Hill marlton even Medford and them areas you would want to take the Betsy Ross bridge but if youre coming from blackwood turnersville Voorhees youd want to take the Walt Whitman they are the best Bridges to take I use them every single day I live in Jersey and Philadelphia and I have work in Philadelphia in Jersey everydaybut be prepared around 4 to 5 on the Walt Whitman going to Philly is clear but coming back is not

The T-P is my preferred way to cross the Delaware due to smoother road surface and lower cost but have been using the BRB more of late due to construction. The raised paving between the expansion joints bounces my poor old Accord pretty hard!

I watched this bridge being built, and its sad to see it deteriorate. NJ side is not so bad, but the Pennsylvania side should require 4 wheel drive vehicles. The port authority collects your tolls and one has to wonder where that money goes because most certainly and quite apparently it does not budget for maintenance.

The bridge is nice...but one lane is always closed and the road is of poor quality, taking into cosideration how much they ask toll.PS: they open the lane at right. Yet!

Best bridge in the area. Gets you over the water perfectly without all the swimming. Only drawback, no pedestrian access.

Tar in the Gums-my review of every tollWhat can 4 dollars, 10 dollars, or 40 dollars buy you?Well, for some people itsgroceries or helping to pay rent. Commuting from one city to another is liking seeing a far distant brother.Just making it over there by car shows some wealth that isnt being used for actual good health.Greetings in smiles as you hand over a bill that occasionally wonders if the amount is what is exact to complete a pass of no good will.No alternative routes.Trapped in one county. And if you think youre Han Solo and fly past them, expect a bounty so high on your head you would have to monthly pay out your own ransom. If youre handsome or seen as attractive, they might let you pass without paying. So disgusting is the message that sends me.“I could sure go for a sandwich!” Says one in the car. Except now Im afraid the toll’s teeth poisoned the cookie jar.How is this the city of brotherly love? I know poor people who cant commute across the free land. The first roads you even enter this city are trash. Employees make eye rolls for taking our money. Let Congress tear down these walls of in courtry commute.

This no-nonsense steel truss bridge has been facilitating the flight of families from Port Richmond, Kensington and the rest of the Northeast to greener pastures in Cinnaminson and Burlington County for two generations now. It has lots of lanes and generally has less traffic than downriver crossings. If you live in Burlington County or Pennsauken near Route 130 this is the bridge to take into Philly.

This has always been my favorite bridge for travel into center city. Conveniently located off Route 130 its somewhat in between the Bristol Bridge and Ben Franklin. Traffic across this bridge never seems to be heavy and the only problems I ever encountered were during construction to get back on coming from Philadelphia. Since thats been completed its a pleasure again using this bridge in either direction.
