Small, intimate theatre with great casts. The small venue puts one very close to the actors, lending a fine sense of being part of the play. One caveat: there is one, very small mens room hidden away in the basement. Plan accordingly.

This is real theater. Not your easily watched confections served up for suburbanites. You have to pay attention and you will be rewarded with intellectual stimulation and intense emotions. Plays are presented in a tiny space so its like watching tv but with great acting and thoughtful timely stories.

It was a very interesting and well-done play. It was my first time there but the people I sat next to attended often and they said theyve always been pleased. Its not a fancy venue but very good performance

Not happy at all. I went to see Christmas Carol, it wasnt anything like it was advertised. I wasnt into the show at all and left 30 minutes in, i even tried to get my money back and I simply got an email saying no. Dont waste your time or money. I was watching people fall asleep during the play lol

Great actors and you can tell this small venue really cares about what they do. Seating isnt perfectly comfortable but gets the job done. The acting and playwright are what make this theater. For what it is, its great.

First time at this theatre. it Id quite small and so it gives the sense of an intimate experience. We saw a performance of Shakespeares Measure for Measure which was excellent. My only concern is that there are no handrails in the center section which was difficult for some people.

Lantern is a great theater. Loved their production of Stoppards Hapgood. The latest David Ives play is only so-so. Beautiful production, excellent acting, but the play is nothing special. See Sly Fox for a better take on the theme.

Just watched The Tempest last night! Wonderful! The acting was incredible and the lights and sound effects were perfect compliments. I will certainly be back for their Shakespeare productions in the future. There is not a bad seat in the entire audience - you get super close to the set. I will be recommending this place highly to my friends in the area.

This is the best place to get a great show for a great price! Ive been going for years and have never seen a show that wasnt amazing. They get incredible talent Fromm the actors to the production team and directors. I hear they also have great teaching programs. Definitely should check those out.

The Theater is not accessible to patrons with wheelchairs or mobility issues. I looked over my ticket and nothing on it indicated that my seat had an obstructed view, which wouldve been helpful to know. I was unable to see about 1/4th of the stage, and it was the 1/4th where the actors spend most of the play.I looked at their schedule and they have intriguing shows coming up, I just dont know if I want to go back anytime soon.

Been to at least a dozen shows here - the productions are always top-notch. Some of the best ones have truly surprised me. I never envisioned enjoying an hour and a half monologue, but the two Ive seen at Lantern (theyve done one per season for two years now) have possibly been my favorite shows. Another interesting tidbit: every year for the past several years theyve done a science-themed show, which is neat.

Small, intimate theater in the round. Plays span a variety of topics and time periods. Acting personal are excellent. Staging is minimalist but inventive in its use of a restricted space. Go, you will not be disappointed. If you drive, there is ample, reasonably priced parking across the street ( on 10th).

Although the show was wonderful, the Lantern theatre is a fire trap. I was so uncomfortable in the tight seat and the heatin the theater was very uncomfortable. You have one excite and it took To long to file out after the show so I can’t imagine what would happen if there was a fire. We willnot be coming back to the Lantern Theater.
