Beware. The manager Karyn is a paranoid drunk lunatic that reeks of wine and conveinetly says she didnt get your rent money even though it was deducted from my account via cash app into her account. All her time is spent drinking wine and watching the security camaras. Freak.

We are No Peeking Theatre, a sensory based theatre organization based in Jersey City, NJ - founded by Amanda Levie. You are blindfolded and experience the show using your other senses to experience the performances. This space was amazing for our show, “The V Lucas Cycle” 12/20-22 and I would recommend people to use this space.

I dont know if you own the garage of that the guy is renting connected to your building. We are tired of all the cars and now the lack of parking for the community who lives here. We are going to file a complain to City Officials to step in with this matter.

Reached out this morning to learn more about the space. I found the space online and LOVED IT. I wanted to ask a few questions for clarity as well as arrange a tour, I was looking to put down a deposit as early as today. Was directed to speak with a gentleman named Ruslan. This gentleman was by FAR the most rude, prejudice, impatient, unprofessional individual that I have ever seen be placed in charge of dealing with potential and future clients. He is the definition of one bad seed can completely push business away. Rather than ask questions in order to figure out how to best help me, 2 minutes into the conversation he ASSUMED I would be living on the property rather than ask. He proceeded to tell me “You do know that it is not a live in”? I was confused because I was very clear with my intentions for the space as an artist, I also NEVER implied I would be using the space to live. I was completely turned off and insulted. This individual is tasteless and bad for business. I’m sure I was not the the first he’s displayed this disgusting behavior with and I’m sure I won’t be the last. Good luck.

Overall I didn’t have any problems at this place until I came to my studio after almost 3 weeks and a guy was living in it!! He was hopping over the walls, and living In my studio. Had his belongings everywhere, and also a million black and mild wraps and ashes. Pretty sure he was on drugs. It was really gross and obviously extremely invasive so I moved out of the studio. The managers are and were nice about everything I just can’t have a studio in an environment like that. Not worth the price in my opinion.

I contacted the Papermill Community of Artists today to schedule a viewing. I communicated via text message with Ruslan. He was unprofessional and ineffective communication. After I sent him my information and website he stopped responding to me. I reached out to him 2 more times and he informed me that he had 2 other appointments and depending on how they go he will get back to me. I found that interesting because there have been multiple advertisements on craigslist and social media in regard to have several units open and available. He was not helpful and kept it short. I think he saw me and decided that I didnt fit in. I would like to speak to someone above him!

I wouldn’t recommend getting a space here you. You won’t get your security deposit back. And they are never on track with there books and will claim you owe them rent when you don’t save yourself the headache and rent a studio space that will not take advantage of artist.

It was such an amazing event. If you have not checked out the artist art work than you need to wake up and come out to more events. Huge shout out to DNae Harrison. The owner who put everything together was positive, uplifting, freely, yet still amazing
