Nice quiet place perfect for some walk!

Fantastic little place, I had no idea about this lake.. Fishing was tough but Ive seen photos of people pulling out big fish. Very clean, fun swing set for the kids and great walking trail.

This is a beautiful place to go thats hidden within a beautiful neighborhood as well! Bring your fishing poles and your chair to enjoy the geese as well. Also they have a great wrap around walkway so you can get your steps in too!

A great place to walk around. Its location is wonderful; just beside the freeway. But within the park, its location is community based with nearby houses

Nice little park, we enjoyed walking around the pond and the playground was good.

Peaceful lake. Great for families and walking. Tough fishing... No bites after an hour, and lots of reeds and weeds to fight through.

Good spacing shelter and free parking available. Best maintenance and few people come here for fishing also.

Peaceful area, looked to be a popular place. We utilized the picnic table for a meal in between ball games.

Just go here with a lunch and now sit in my car but when the weather is nice, sit at a table. So peaceful, pretty and kudos to whomever keeps it up. Take a victory walk around when you can

Very nice park! I had a great time bringing my dog to have a walk in the afternoon, very safe and clean park, I really enjoyed, but if you come at night bring your spray for mosquitos!

It can be a really nice place but the lake is filled with Geese and Ducks that leave a huge trail of feces behind. Not one foot of the path was clean from the feces. The smell was overwhelming and because I needed to look at the ground to make sure I wasn’t stepping on anything, my experience was not great.

Scenery is nice, but the lake is polluted with trash and not great for fishing sadly.

I live nearby and its a beautiful park with a nice walking trail and playground. They also have a small gazebo with tables and work out equipment lining the park. You can even fish in the lake!One of the downsides is the geese, they dont bother you but they do leave a mess.I also wish they had a baby swing instead of the large child swing available.

Nice and quiet. Gazebo on the Indian creek path. Picnic tables and BBQ pits. No bathrooms. Good lunch spot that makes you feel like youre getting away from IT FOR an hour

I have lived close to Kingston Lake for twenty years. It is enjoyable to walk around and early AM is even better with my dog. And, our City of Overland Park has bicycle pathes that make the area very passable.

Rude people. House owners around are not nice and called the cops on my dog who......imagine this.......was acting like a dog!!!!! Dwellings in the neighborhood opted for calling the police because apparently theyre not civilized enough to walk up to me in person and confront me about an ordinance I was unaware of that dogs are not allowed in the lake which I find pretty stupid anyway because its a lake for god sakes and isnt that what dogs like to do at a park...jump in the lake?...my bad! When my dog began to get excited from all the water foul, I thought it was in his best interest to remove his leash in order to prevent him get tangled up and drowning because I knew he was going to end up jumping in the lake and as his best friend I joked, go get them Louie which was apparently interpreted as be encouraging my dog to murderer as many ducks and geese as, he possibly could..... according to the report given to the park ranger when she approached me. obviously, Im in no position to argue with any sort of authority and I understand they have a job to do however I find it ironic that my dog is a registered service dog by day however he apparently gives off the impression he moonlights as a duck murderer on the side. I was also informed I could have been written a fine for $10,000 and racked up a Federal offense for animal cruelty due to my joking around saying go get them Louie knowing very well he couldnt even catch a turtle if he tried. I want to make it very clear in this review that I am not at all blaming the police for any of their actions because they are simply doing their job and enforcing the laws, however Im just voicing my opinion on the neighbors lack of common courtesy and compassion considering our party consisted of a 43 year old woman, a goofy Golden retriever, and an eight-year-old sweet little boy.... I cant even imagine moving in to a house with a lake in the back yard and then telling my dog oh no no you cant swim in the lake....its against the law!!!!! My whole experience at this park was nothing but terrible and it just baffles me how the lake is filled with so much disgusting algae, trash, and kids doing drugs, however I end up being the bad guy. By the end of my experience I was in tears over the ticket for 100+ and devastated over the threat of a additional ticket for animal cruelty because my dog was chasing a duck which is a federal offense and a $10,000 fine. this park is awful and I would not recommend anyone going there .... I feel sorry for anybody who moves into the neighborhood and has to deal with neighbors hiding in the window calling the police instead of having common courtesy to approach a non threatening party of three trying to walk the dog. I am very rational and would have gladly retreated out of the park to avoid the situation I ended up having to encounter. I will never return to this park. oh and on a final note which takes the cake, when we did finally get in our car to leave, Ironically there were two kids in the car next to us smoking weed or some other type of drug that utilizes a pipe.... But I guess we were bigger fish to fry... BAD EXPERIENCE!

Terrible spot for fishing. lake was filthy and the grass was covered in goose poop, goose poop was EVERYWHERE. not very well maintained, dont waste your time on this park, there are others that are cleaner and maintained!

This is a very good place for all age group. It has nice trail, ride for small kids, and deck on lake. I dont do fishing but I have seen lots of people fishing here. Lunch area is also available here.

Gorgeous! When the weather is nice, you can walk for hours around the lake. Theres a playground. Ducks to feed. You can bring your dog and kids.

Fishing is nice, you can catch stuff almost everytime there!

Very nice public park in a very nice neighborhood; neat little amenities like exercise equipment that is placed along the trail. If you like geese and ducks you certainly can see a number of them around this area this time of year. The park has modern play equipment and a number of people fishing in the lake from the docks on the lake. A roughly 1/4 Mile Trail encompasses the lake.The only negative marks I would give this park are for the lack of a restroom (or some kind of toilet facility; not even a porta-potty?) and it is kind of hard to find as you must drive several blocks through a heavily residential area to reach it.

If you dont mind stepping over a few goose turds, this is a great little spot! I like the oversized swing that looks like it was made out of a roller coaster chair. No falling out over here! Playground is nice and versatile enough to burn the kiddos out before dinner and bedtime. Overlooked by the back of some peoples houses, so if an emegency happened, someone would likely peek out and call the cops if needed. I think its a cool little go-to park!

Actually it has very beautiful landscape, but very poorly maintained. Water is clean. Children play area could have been good if kept clean and safe. Shelter has benches full of dirt. Not worthwhile to spend time.

A lot of wash up everywhere can only fish in clean water off the docks good thing they have three plus a bridge, other than that I didnt catch a single fish. nice looking little Park to walk around but for fishing not so much.

Good park for a walk when trapped in Suburbia. Completely overrun by geese, so keep your shoes on and be sure to take those shoes before you go back inside your house.

The park is rather small with little to do. I have rarely seen somebody catch a fish there. The playground is rather Spartan considering the locale and how long the park has been there.
