Amazing recreational park in Leawood! Have run here several times with a good running partner and we love it. Easy access to trails and walking path too. Outstanding playground for kids. Restrooms close by and great parking. Highly recommend!

I brought my 2 year old here several weeks ago and had to pry him away! There is so much this park offers: the splash pad is awesome for hot days and has a lot of fountains for kids to play in, a shelter to shade mamas and picnic if you bring a sack lunch, bathrooms, play equipment for toddler age and separate are play equipment for bigger kids. There are swings and a half mile walking trail around the park also and on the other side of the parking lot is an older playground that is still in good shape. In the middle of the walking trail are some soccer fields and a baseball diamond. Get outside and check it out!

We love this hidden gem! There is a great playground and a splash pad. The kids can run and play to their hearts content. There are great shady places for parents to sit, talk, watch the kids and have lunch! The restrooms are good and clean as well!

It’s beautiful, well maintained and lovely, everything is perfect, just waiting splash will open soon.Just an update, Google shows swimming pool but it’s no longer available but it converted to tennis court (free of cost entry).

I love Platos Closet as well as Clothing Mentor.Large parking lot well lit. Both stores are clean and staffed with friendly people.

Met up with friends for a social distance picnic birthday party. We avoided the large areas of people and were able to find a quiet place among the crab apple trees. This park is very nice, spacious, yet lively with lots of patrons.

Nice park with lots to do. Walking trails with workout equipment, wooded trails for hiking or mountain biking. Great playground with a water section for kids.

Nice park. Fair amount of social distancing. Kind of surprised that the playground equipment was in use. We made the kids use tons of hand sanitizer

Beautiful Clean Park!! My 7yr old son had a ball...We went around 10am plenty of kiddos, also water sprayers for them to get wet...My first time at this park...so much for them to play on, walking trail, baseball, walk the dog, benches to sit on, shade area, etc....Everyone was friendly and all kids played with each other....

What a beautiful park! The splash pad and playground are beautifully kept. There is a very nice restroom so you can change clothes if you need to. Wish we could find a park like this wherever we live!

For my wife and I it is a great place to go, just sit in the car and watch the people and dogs walking the trail.

Clean, everyone socially distanced, park is super family friendly. Had a great bike ride with the family, would highly recommend.

Great park to take the grandkids. The bathrooms are way nicer than expected. Im anxious to go back and play some more. Im considering renting a shelter for a get together once things settle down.

The playgrounds were fantastic! The newer playground was pretty busy but my kiddo enjoyed it. Im excited to come back when the nature play area is complete.

I love this park for a small area with a circular track to walk around. Connected to the bigger trail. Bathrooms, and two playgrounds for the kids. Love the creek and trees all around.

This is the playground I would’ve loved as a kid! We took our 17 month old here for the splash park which was soooooo much fun! He had a blast and we will be going back soon!

This is a great park to visit especially with friends and family. Very lush, beautiful and relaxed atmosphere. Especially nice if you want to walk or bicycle since Indian Creek Trail runs right through this park.

This park is beauitful with fun for all ages all year round. There are two play structure areas, a sandbox, a few nature sections, two hammocks, tennis courts, a baseball field, two big shelters and a big open field area. There is still some landscaping being completed and the bathrooms are being added. This park is going to be an amazing park when all is finished. Way to go Overland Park!

We love this park. Its big enough to have something for everyone: bike trails, walking/jogging trails, picnic tables, a splash park, updated playground with climbers and swings for kids of all sizes. Its bathrooms are clean and the park is well maintained.

Amazing playground and water area.

While my favorite items on the menu are not food at all, they do have some pretty good burgers if you ask for the right combinations. The drink combinations are fantastic and happy hour from 2-4 (and extended for some locations) makes it a great deal. Route 44 diet cranberry limeade is my favorite. I liked the fact that this place was open late and I was able to grab a bite to eat and a dessert for late night snacking.

My first time here and I got to say everyones friendly and respectful even kids seem to help each other out, lots of games to choose from, slides, swings and even seating available to everyone whos tired of chasing their kids Overal kids and even adults would have a good time!

Great place for children all ages. A balanced mix between a water park and a conventional playground with some sensorial equipment and a nature area. And it’s free!

The splash pad is a lot of fun. They also have a small equipment for toddler age kids and a bigger, more complex one for older kids. Its not your usual equipment, they have some cool stuff. Close restrooms too. Slides do get warm in the sun though. This park has another playground on the other side of the parking lot that is well shaded but less interesting.

Its a great place for kids. They have a soccer field, a huge awesome playground, places to grill food and an area where water splurts from the ground. One of the most entertaining parks Ive been to.

The splash pad wasnt working when we went. So we headed over to the playground area to the left of the entrance. It was in dire need of mulch or some other ground covering because it was basically just the playground sitting in mud. The kids were absolutely filthy after playing. Once those two things are sorted out Im sure it will be an amazing place to hang out!

Best kids play area best to visit in summer when the water sprinklers are open for kids.

I basically love this park except the splash area. Kids enjoy splash area too much and then they run around in play area and wet all the slides and swings. Which makes them non slippery. It gets all dirty. But what can we do.. we just avoid this park nowadays even though play area is excellent.

This place was a ton of fun! The splash park was great and the huge playground was awesome! There’s plenty of tables and benches to sit and eat at. They have bathrooms close by to change at, only downside was that they were kind of dirty. We will be back again!

A wonderful suburban park with great concept design. There are large open areas sports areas and a dedicated play area with several climbing structures and a spray area large enough for many children to play. There are picnic tables and seating placed so that there is always a spot out of the sun. The play area also has a shelter house. The park is safe and well maintained.

Really enjoy this park.

I was driving home and decided to stop my car here for a minute just to enjoy the fresh air.. I ended up sitting in my car, windows down, music on. for about an hour or more just enjoying the sunset and fresh air. This park is very beautiful and very nicely kept. Never any trash laying around or anything like that. I saw many family enjoying themselves and it was a very wholesome. Heart warming sight. I didnt grow up near parks that were so nice like this its very refreshing!

Love this park! The grill area has so much space to lay out everything you need. Its perfect for kids of all ages, even adults! Has a lot of open space to toss footballs around or whatever you need!

This park is mostly great. For pre-school age kids who like water, the splash spot is fun and easy to observe from nearly all angles. The playground nearest to the splash spot is designed for preschool through elementary age which is nice HOWEVER, the splash spot tends t have big kids running through the littlest which can be dangerous. Thats my only negative critique. The playground that is on the other side is pretty great, lots to do!! And, there is a ball field and wide open green spaces for many different play options!

Really great childrens park, wonderful spalsh pad, jungle gym and plenty of picnic tables in the shade. Also has a nature trail, and sand box. People need to pay a little more attention to the snack trash blowing around from peoples lunches, but other than that its a wonderful park!

This is a fantastic park for kids of all ages. The splash pad is a great place to cool off on hot summer days. The big playground is full of activities and challenging for the older kids. The small kids playground is the perfect size for little ones learning to move around. The nature path is a cute area for the curious child. We love our time spent at Roe Park.

Some of the water things are broken... which is why I gave it 4 stars. Also, the secondary park is pretty neglected.We love the new park and the splash pad. The trail is awesome, and I love that it is free! There is a tiny back trail behind the main trail thats to the west, too. And it takes you through some trees.

Amazing park!

One of our favorite Johnson County parks. The nature play area is one of the best I have seen. We usually end up spending a majority of our time in this area. The splash pad is also great, lots of room and features. Perfect for a hot day. The playground is pretty unique as well. I highly recommend this park!

This park is one of our favorites. My boys love coming here. There is a water play area, nice playground equipment and a big area for walking, bike riding, etc.

Free and fun. Kids seemed to enjoy playing on the equipment more than in the water fountains.

We love this place! Different things to do!... get wet... play... and there are restrooms and tables and covered patios to enjoy birthdays ir anything!... very much kid friendly... also a trail but we havent checked that out yet!

We had a family evening here and had so much fun! I have lived here for several years, and didnt know this place even existed or we would have utilized it A LOT more! The kids had fun at the park and playing at the splash pad. The picnic area was nice and clean as well as the restrooms.

Its a fun lark for the kids but there isnt a ton of shade. Only one shelter. But otherwise very fun!

Wonderful park! This park has a splash park, tennis court, multiple playgrounds including a toddler-safe playground, as well as a sandbox. There are multiple baseball fields and lots of walking trails.

Such a great park! I love taking my kids because there is a lot of variety. It has two playgrounds, a spray park, track with exercise equipment, soccor field, and if you or your kids pokemon go they have stops to spin while youre there!

OMG my girls and I love this place. Accross from a Sonic, so all we have to do is grab food; picnic at the park; and burn calories in one of the several play areas. Sand pit, playground, and a huge water-fountain sprinkler area for loads of cool fun in the summer. Bare feet welcome! Several athletic areas too.

This is really a nice little park area, walking path paved, also for bicycles with a little baseball field for the kids and a lot of open grass to walk in. With easy access to all of it.

With all new equipment and splash park that contains alcoves of different activities to help cut the noise down but keeps everything visible, plus a bike trail around the fields and an old playground set apart from the new one, there is something for everyone!
