I didnt even die once throughout the whole game! except last mission, i died once. I played gun mayhem 2 on freegame66
Loved the tetris and mario kart. Huge pinball selection. Its in the heart of downtown so its easy to stop in while out on the town.
OVERVIEW:As an arcade YouTuber, Ive been to about 50 arcades in my lifetime so far. However, this one was probably the worst one out of all of them. The reason this place is getting 2 stars instead of 1, Ill explain in a moment.FIRST GLANCE:As I walk into Tilt, I notice its very small. I would more likely consider it a game room than an arcade. Another thing I notice right off the bat is how many broken games there were. Many were either out of order or just turned off. I can understand having a few games down, but having half the whole arcade down is terrible.TYPES OF GAMES:There are lots of old up and across claw machines which you dont see often. There were also some classic ticket redemption arcade games and a few modern ticket redemption arcade games and claw machines. Lots of off-brand machines Ive never seen anywhere else, like Big Wheel (knock-off of Big Bass Wheel), Rubiks Cube (knock-off of Ice Cube), and Super Spin (knock-off of Spin-N-Win).GAME PAYMENT:Quarters or dollars (depends if a game is equipped with a dollar bill acceptor or not). The change machines are older but work well, dispensing the change in record speed.ATMOSPHERE:Many groups of kids hang out at this place and tear up the machines. They are always loud. Fortunately, they usually hang out on the far right side near the racing machines. Not the best atmosphere, but certainly not the worst.PRIZE STAND:The prize stand is tiny. Not a lot of prize selections, mostly small prizes. I remember that the highest valued ticket prize was like 3,000 tickets. The ticket price for the small items wasnt bad. For example, 20 tickets for a small spikey ball and 10 tickets for a plastic top. The bigger prizes were okay for their price. Not too bad of a value at the prize stand overall.CLAW MACHINES:The claw machines are just bad. Most of the claw machines are weak or rigged. On the older machines, the claw doesnt close all the way meaning you have to go for fatter prizes. The first one I tried didnt close at all and there was no out of order sign. Most of the claw machines (all the old ones) are up and across based, meaning you go forward only once, then go right only once, then the claw drops and attempts to clamp on a prize. Makes it a little bit harder to win. The lights on the claw machine bonus wheel didnt work, defeating the whole extra credit purpose on some retro Chinese claw machines that they have tucked in the back of the room.TICKET REDEMPTION GAMES:The ticket redemption arcade games here work fine, but many LED displays were not working properly or they were burned out. For example, the jackpot value on one of the games read something like |_ |-| | instead of 237. Some of the ticket arcade games were out of tickets, but when the employees are told about it, the issue is quickly fixed.CUSTOMER SERVICE/GAME REPAIR STAFF:This is the reason that this place doesnt get 1 star. Probably one of the better arcade service Ive ever seen. The lady spent a lot of time in the back room after I told her about the claw machine malfunction and the tickets being out. She gave me a free jackpot and 4 free plays on the ticket arcade game and then she gave me 2 plays on a claw machine of my choice. Unfortunately, it is company policy that they cant return your money if a game malfunctions. Very friendly staff, although they could use a few more people working at the place.OVERALL:While the service was excellent, I would still recommend to stay away from Tilt and the arcade games since most of the machines were not the best.
Do not waste your time. We went in for just a fast game of air hockey and the table was really in bad shape. No matter how gentle we tapped the disk it was coming off the table. The handles were missing felt so the didnt slide at all.I told the only person working there and he was super rude, saying with a sigh that we were hitting it to hard, even though he was standing there watching us play and knows we were not. After we stopped mid game and left it running I took my son over to spend the rest of his coins and the guy tried out the air hockey table and the disk came off the table for him to, no apology to us just a rude stare. Customer service is the number one thing I look for in places the rest can be fixed but this place wont make any money with service like that in my opinion.
Kids love it and it brings me back to the 80s
Would be nice if they stopped focusing on the ticket based machines and trying to compete with D&B and Chuck E Cheese and just focus on being a good old school arcade.
This place has fallen into such disrepair. :/
Not alot of kid friendly games. some were broke down. The guy working kept going in the back and when we were leaving he seemed to have a attitude
Love stopping in here with my kids. The guy working here is always nice.
I took my daughter to play and she had a lot of fun. The customer service was beyond satisfactory!
Had fun...dude behind counter was a little sketchy.
Its fine if you are looking to kill time like waiting on friends
Dated, but nice
I only go here now when Im feeling nostalgic. Most of the games are broken or eat tokens. Still stuck in the 80s.
Most of the games are ticket based. Theres an air hockey table. There are no pin ball machines, so Im not sure why its called Tilt. Skip it.
Most of the games do not work, they all seem to hate their job, and honestly they made us feel like they wanted us to leave at 2pm on a Thursday. I dont intend on returning and think it deserves a massive upgrade in staff, better machines, or a shut down.
Very fun!
My son loves going here
Lots of classics loved it. But some of the games need tlc and its sad to see :(
