It was a nice atmosphere, we had a BBQ and sat under the pavilion to eat and hang out with friends.

Since they did all the improvements and added in some more activities and playground for the kids a good place to bring your family and the environment is laid-back along with plenty of places for shade and you could just relaxJ

Safe...enough. dont go without someone with you. Especially later on. I know of this park from a nearby school. There ARE a lot of homeless people. Maybe things have changed since 2012 (Im certain they have) but quite honestly they were so harmless that we even nicknamed them. Listerine Jack, Shoeless Sally, and the ratchet sisters(not homeless but local thieves). Also theres a guy who would throw knives at a specific while crying, LIKE CLOCKWORK, every Saturday. Otherwise, its okay in numbers. Theres space if you want to set up a large gathering for sports. The grounds are kept up okay. The playground equipment was sorta rusty though and Ive even gotten cut. You should check out the local public garden. Its nice and theres picnic space as of 2013-2014.

I only go through this park as a shortcut to 26th and Washington from 25th and Grant so I dont have much to say for the park, except for I use to go to the lunch in the park at 1:30pm on Sundays. Its a free meal from a church (dont recall which one). At said lunch there is the occasional drama from the people attending the meal but Pastor Jesse (may have spelled wrong) always seems to calm stuff down quickly and is very good at helping everyone know theyre loved!

Be careful. I had my wife go with our daughter to the bathroom because a lot of homeless have been hanging around. Normally 1 or two is not a issue. But there was someone actively camping out in the bathroom. And according to my wife a man was waiting behind a trashcan. When he saw my 9 year old got up real quick. Then when he noticed my wife sat right back down just as quick. Everyone has a reason I get that. But safety being a issue at a public park during the free meals for kids should never come up. Kids should feel safe. Be careful and watchful. Just remember everyone has a reason and be safe

Park is clean and cared for. Except that the homeless are almost always camped out at the gazebo. I dont believe the city cares enough about the homeless problem to fix this. We were a week from being homeless ourselves. Utah just plain doesnt care if they create more homeless or not. And yes I said theyre creating their homeless problem. Rent prices here are 2-3 times higher than they should be.

Great park and I always take over the Pokémon Gym (K4rpeDiem) but the library blocked the bathrooms with a fence so its super inconvenient when you are just chillin and hanging out with friends and then you have to walk into the library to use the toilet.

This is a nice park. Utah needs to step up their game. There are no restrooms and when I went there there were a bunch of families coming together for a family activity. How come Utah locks the public restrooms? Ok maybe at night so you wont have people trying to live in them, but Sunday is a day that families congregate together, I would hope Utah could wake up to this fact. Sometimes Sunday is the only possible day for families to get together. #Unlock the restrooms on Sunday Utah!

So after going through the reviews on this park. Ive never seen such a discrepancy between people. Its either a one-star or four or five star. Very few people are in the middle at all.Its either a great park with beautiful trees and shade, and hey!! Its next to the library and a great place to bring your kids and have a picnic or barbecue or something iin that matter.Or theres the undivided negative reviews that say, its a drug addict Park filled with needles and baggies and homeless people who can scare you in the bathroom. And a place you do not want your kids around. The thing is, theres like at least 50 of these reviews per side.So its both I think, and its either a timing thing like nighttime or daytime. Maybe a day of week time for some reason, or maybe even the moon. Heck I dont know. But I think the choice should be this, if you want to go to a park and youre close by (like the library.) You just drive by and see how sketcky/shady the park looks, stop if it looks good, drive if it looks bad. But I wouldnt take any special trips to come out to this park just cuz.

Ive never actually gone into this park. I just visit my friend who lives across the street. The whole area is unwelcoming in my opinion. There are too many drug addicts around the area. And in the whole neighborhood in fact. The last thing I would want is my future children playing in a park where I have to worry about them getting stuck with a needle.
