I biked this trail (clockwise) and loved it. The climb starts out great but then gets a bit steeper. The views from the top are impressive. The singletrack coming down was amazingly fun, with lots of fast corners with just enough berm to keep flying. There are other options that Ive heard of on how to ride this trail that would be awesome if you have the ability to shuttle.
Love this trail. The perfect amount of climbing to get to some amazing views and a great downhill.
Snow falling and 15 degrees. Very few people and a great morning on snow shoes.
Smooth, well-maintained trail and very easy going. Beautiful views back towards Snow Basin, and toward the Ogden Valley at the top. Watch out and be courteous of mountain bikers. There are lots of them here, but most are very considerate, so try to return the kindness and clear the way swiftly.
This was a great hike (Ogden Canyon Overlook). I consider it to be a fairly easy hike, though others would probably classify it as moderate. You are rewarded with some great views of Ogden, Eden, and Huntsville along the way. Seemed moderately trafficked with hikers and mountain bikers. Its mostly shaded, too, which is always a plus.
Nice trailhead near the Snow Basin ski resort, with ample parking and various trails to hike. The Sardine loop is especially beautiful with aspens and oaks, some firs and spruce. At one point it overlooks Pineview Reservoir. For a shorter hike, the Ogden Canyon overlook reveals Coldwater Canyon and the mouth of Ogden Canyon. Or take a right as you go towards Sardine Peak and hike to Wheeler Creek/Icebox Canyon.
Beautiful! Got my heart pumping but it wasnt hard, definitely bring layers and have good shoes
A nice Sunday afternoon hike with the family.
About 2-3 hours, some gradual elevation gain, view at peak is rewarding... over the valley and beyond.
Fun trail
Snowshoeing was awesome
