Enjoyed watching families sit on the grass, playing with theyre pets or eating a picnic lunch. The sky is clearer today than it has been in a while. The Fall leave colors is stunning. Its a great place to break away, enjoy nature and de-stress. There has been some new tar trail put in (turf) its a lot nicer to walk on and offers more space to offer traffic sides. Bike riders, skate boarders and podestrians walking by can safely do so without running over eatch other.

The hill of the exercise trail on the south side of the park is troublesome for the unprepared. A steep consistent incline on uneven asphalt. Otherwise good. The Ogden River lends a cooling effect on the north side of the park. Winds from Ogden Canyon will help with morning runs.

We love this park! It has a huge field to play in. The Ogden river is right next to it. Its on the Ogden Riverway Path. There is a loop around it too with exercise stations. It runs into the Ogden Botanical Garden. There is a Veterans Memorial by it as well as a small playground. There are no swings. There is a covered area amf bathrooms. Very pet friendly too.

Great huge park! Limited parking so that’s a huge bummer. Paved walk way, lots of bikes, scooters. Great for runners. The huge amount of space allows for so many people to do their own thing and not be way close. The views from here are amazing.

If you need a wide open grass field for your activity, this is the place, it is enormous and situated in a beautiful area. The walking/running/biking trail surrounding the park is also very nice, though the hilly sections appear to need a little maintenance.

Was a very popular place to be on Memorial day! I used the pull up station along the track for a workout. Lots of people stopped to get a pull up or two in while I was there. Someone did steal my water bottle I left while I was on a short run through. I guess I need to learn to not trust society. Ill tell myself it was some kid that didnt know better...

Its one of the GEMS of Ogden City!! Great place to hang with the grandkids. Very nice, clean pavillion covering a large amount of picnic tables with restrooms available. The workout stations along the pathway are a great touch and there is a nice sand volleyball court with net poles (bring your own net). AnotherGEM in Ogden is the botanical gardens just a short walk west down the river pathway that is adjacent to this sports park. MANY thanks to Ogden City Parks department and/or anyone else that takes part in the upkeep and care of these amazing places!!! YOU ARE APPRECIATED!

The park is beautiful. It has a covered picnic area and a small playground for the kids. There are walking paths. The have a place called Dinosaur Park where you can learn all about different dinosaurs and even see recreations of them and even hear them. It does cost to get in but not sure how much. The even have a little stream for fishing. Something for everyone.

Great place for a run or walk. I like to run in places like this so I can be distracted with the nature and the views. Its a good trail of a walk or play with your kids at the playground. Be aware of the poop some people walk with their dogs and dont pick up the poop.

I love this park! Its the perfect place to spend the day. You can pack a lunch, bring your work out gear, swim stuff for the river and of course a book to read under the many trees! The only complaint I have is superficial and to be expexted-the stairs are popular and can be crowded. The jump blocks are amazing, I never thought I could do them as Im defintely a husky boy, but they have staggered sizes to help level up-I never would have attemped in gym but being outside super alleviated my social anxiey. All the different work out stations are super helpful and motivating, great for all of levels of fitness-even if your fitness level is in the negatives like mine! Bonus: the trail leads to the Botanical Gardens off of Monroe! Such a fun little slice of heaven. Not to mention the Pokemon Go adventures!!

We come here quite frequently! So much open space for sports, to run, fly kites, etc. It has a loop with different exercises to try, and a bit of an incline that goes arouns the park. The loop does connect to the Parkway that runs along the river. This park does have a pavillion with picnic tables, a junglegym with slides, and Bathrooms. They do winterize the bathrooms so they are unusable in the winter months, so plan accordingly. The park is well maintained and good for picnics!

Sometimes you just need a crap load of open space: kite flying, frisbee football, or multiple games of football. And Big D is perfect for just that.Located just off the Ogden River Parkway, it is a perfect start to your run or bike trek. There is a play area for kids, and a clean pavilion, usually open and unbooked. We have had more than one picnic here.GOAL is starting to put up training areas on the outskirts of the park along the running path for a sort of street barz styled workout. They arent labeled yet, and the large expanse of grass is untouched, as they are right on the edge. One issue are the mens toilets. They have been broken or overflowing more than once. In fact we have experienced it nine times this spring and summer. To be fair, each time the park employees were already there, bar one time. But that did dampen the otherwise great experience.
