Used to hike this trail to and from school. 1980-90s. Easy trail and looks way better kept now. Planted two redwood trees with my dad for some boys scouts eagle project on it. The smells of oak and Eucalyptus. Further up there is a house off shepherds canyon that had foundation issues because it was built over the unfilled in rail road tunnel. The owner of the former rail station at Paso Robles house is still there overlooking it. Amazing the history of this trail.
Perfect for a short, paved, hike to burn some calories. Plenty of beautiful trees and shade yet thr sun still breaks through at times.
Great dog walk, paved so you can have a relatively free foxtail experience.
Love the history behind it, easy and light hiking trail.
Nice trail but too many dogs off leash. Everyone thinks their dog is special, its not, your dog is a nuisance to others, i shouldnt have too fend off a dogs snotty nose when i use a public trail
I love this trail. Good place to walk a dog(s)
More of a stroll than a hike. Very easy and relaxing.
This is a nice, one mile long, mostly-paved trail above Montclair Village. Its a pleasant little walk if you happen to be in the area.
Good hike locally.
Great trail for walking dogs
Its a small trail. Dogs must be leashed. There are three trash cans, one at either entrance and one in the middle. There are some scattered benches. If you look to the side theres a small trail to the top of a hill where a hidden skate park is.
