A very short walk for me and no dogs allowed but a nice scenic walk with a nice groomed path no pot holes
Its a nice place to walk so I took my dogs for a walk but I passed a guy walking the trail and he said their wasnt allowed no dogs. And when I walked back out and there was a sign that said no dogs. Was new to the area so I didnt know but when I was walking in there was a cop sitting there I walked right passed him and he never said anything. Weird.
Nice place to walk. 1 time around is 1 mile. There was ducks that I havent seen before
Excellent small park for walking for biking around the water. Lots of birds and even plenty of benches to rest on along the trail. Quite a few visitors when we visited. A nice oasis in the middle of manufactured home parks on the north and south of the park.
A very nice, very low traffic walking trail right in the heart of North Fort Myers. The main trail is about 0.8 miles with a hard pack surface fairly well maintained. The trail winds among several man-made filtration ponds used to help clean a nearby creek. There is little shade and usually very little wildlife, although on one occasion there were over fifty birds gathered in the pond furthest from the trailhead. If you leave the parking area and walk in a clockwise direction, about a third of the way around the path is the entrance to a second, shorter trail. This second trail is opens to some additional ponds. The trail is also an easy walk along a mowed grassy path. The parking area is paved and plenty of space. At the trailhead is an information bulletin board and map. There is no shelter and no restrooms. No pets are allowed. The preserve is a very nice, convenient place for a peaceful walk.
Alot of creature habitats out there
Nice easy walk. Plenty of wildlife and places to sit if needed
Really like this place. Kinda wish it wasnt between trailer parks, but its definitely worth going to
Nice for walking and enjoying a tiny bit pf nature
If youre into bird viewing, this is the place. Great jogging as well. .95 mile main loop. 1.7 miles if you walk/run both loops.
Great little trail for hiking
Nice peaceful walking trail by a marsh. Saw many birds. Not busy at all
Powell Creek Preserve is awesome I love it its so relaxing and peaceful.I just moved to Fort Myers a month ago and this Preserve is right down the road from me its a great place to relax and enjoy the scenery at.I know there are Alligators out here but I have yet to see even one does anybody know when the best months or times to see them are? Also wondering how many are here and what size are they?Any other good wildlife worth checking out while Im here?
Awesome. If you have a great imagination... It was sunset on the Serengeti
Great place to walk around and enjoy nature.
My roommate helped build the preserve. Its relaxing and beautiful. Open to the public.
Well maintained wetland experience! It was very clean and pleasant. Just be aware that there are no garabage cans, not even by the parking, so youll have to take your trash.
Great preserve to enjoy a nature hike. Lots of birds, butterflies and even a gopher tortoise.
Very peaceful place
Great for a short nature walk
Quiet little spot, you can see many types of birds here that sometimes stand right in the middle of the paths. Saw a fox once, seriously a great place. Please dont leave any trash behind, the world is not your garbage can.
Great real view of Florida
Just a parking lot with a walk path around a retention pond.
Wonderful place to walk, beautiful ponds, lots of wildlife!! Highly recommend!
Nice place, quiet. Only thing I can think of is I wish they would cut the grass a little more frequently. I ride my bike here often. If I ride with bare feet the long grass get caught between my toes. Not a real problem tho..
The reserve itself is nice if you want to just go by yourself or in a group but there is no pets allowed... It is also next to a trailer park which is less than ideal
This preserve is nice trails are easy, few nice shady spots to sit and rest nice views.
Happened upon this gorgeous rainbow after a slight sunshower. Beautiful area.
No pets allowed. When I searched for pet friendly places it showed up as pet friendly. Sign says no pets. Silly that the outdoors has so many non pet friendly areas in this state.
Nice for bird watching. Long peaceful stroll. Resting benches along the way.
Easy 1 hr walk around filtering containment pools of Powell Creek. In winter should be enjoyable birding.
Nice quite area
Not what we were expecting at all. Saw some birds and a snapper but other than that nothing.
