We launched our kayaks here recently since Manatee Park has made it extremely difficult to get the kayaks back to the launch point. It was so nice to be able to pull the truck right up to the launch area! The creek is pretty wide and shallow so this launch is really for non-motorized boats. We were able to paddle out to the Caloosahatchee river without any difficulty. The only issue with the River was that there was a lot of boat traffic so we were not able to cross over the channel. There is also a boardwalk on site but by the time we returned it was dusk so we headed home. We hope to return back soon to check out the boardwalk area and hopefully cross over the river to get to the Manatee area on the other side
It looks very pretty and a good place to walk however you may not want to go during the rainy season because it definitely floods on the trails and you will not be able to go around it
Dont waste your time here.
It is a shame I did not take my camera with me I left it in the car I only stop for a quick look around. His place was absolutely beautiful amazing views and Really some nice trails Of round the water was a bit muddy but I guess it must have rained a wild down here if youre in the area I deviling suggest that you check
Always love going to this for a quick nice cooling walk with either the kids or the dogs a lot of good memories they do have a boat ramp that you can put your kayak store small boat in to do the exploringI have been working in the area to see if they can make it so you can see the river more
A great place to put in your kayak. Go left under the interstate for a way or go right on down to the the Caloosahatchee River.
This is a great little Preserve I got to see to Wild Hogs while I was in the area and there is much wildlife such as Birds and even a snake non-venomous. Its always clean its right off S.R 82 so you can feel safe to come inside and enjoy some time with your family theres a nature walk but I havent quite been through it just yet. I see people here quite often but its never crowded. Please make sure you stop by and see this place off of State Road 82 its worth it
Nice trails! Not very long, but nicely kept up
Small, local preserve. Great spot to drop in kayaks along the Caloosahatchee. Short hike/walk for enjoying nature. Bring appropriate clothing and repellent for mosquitoes. Stays wet during rainy season.
I love this park and the boardwalk. Its so nice to take the dogs and walk them there. Love that its pet friendly. Also a great place to run. Spent many times here. Will miss it when I close on my house and move to Jacksonville.
It didnt rain. Like east did
Nice
Love this place. Nice place to walk or camp!
Very clean, well kept. Nice little spot for a picnic.
Not much there. Clean and well maintained. Two tables for picnic. Clean restroom. Not able to walk the entire trail because it really wet.
We had fun! Our dogs love walking here!
Decent hike close to the Calusahatche River. Looks like it could be great for paddling.
Disappointed as not much view of any of the river
Peaceful, beautiful spot to take in mother nature
The kids and I love nature this place is amazing ....
Beautiful walking trail.
Have always loved walking my dogs here over the past few yrs, but last time I was there a homeless man was living under the picnic pavilion and a guy I feel fairly certain was a drug dealer was hanging in the parking lot. He passed us in his black jeep on our way in, parked, and sat in it until we approached the parking area. At that point he got out, made eye contact and stood watching us. We ignored him and as we left, so did he. In addition, there are now homeless squatters hanging out near the Loves. They have campers parked around and add a general feeling of unease to what was once a pretty nice little area. The employees said they have run them off before as have the police, but they keep coming back. I hope they clean this area up soon, it seems to be attracting some unfortunate elements.
Nice place they have a few trails to that you can walk which is very nice substantial parking and its always clean its a very nice place
Thank you for posting signs enjoyable
So many bugs, but its a really nice walk
Beautiful south Florida.
I went with my two boys (5 and 1 1/2). They enjoy walking so they had a good time. It was a fairly short walk, but it was nice anyway. Not much to see, but you can bring a lunch and sit at the bench and then check out the birds at the end of the walk.
You can definitely get close to nature. With otters& Amarillo.
Nice easy walk.
Great outdoors for family activities fishing walking bicycles great RV parks all around near Ft Myers and Cape coral
I like it its quite peaceful and usually not crowded
Five star for travelers looking for a stop right off the highway to relax in a native woodsy setting. Part of Lee Countys Conservation 20/20 restoration
Not much there. Kayak or canoe launch! Watch out for gators back there to the river. Ive seen 10 ft+ sized gators in that creek.
