Town Point Park

Nice walk along the water, get a bite or drink (or both!) ar Waterside or go see the Wisconsin the amazing battleship. Plenty of activity on the water, tug boats, water taxis, work boats and even the occasional cruise ship.

Very relaxing place to bring your family or to go alone to get a nice walk. Has such a peaceful feeling being right by the water and at the edge of downtown Norfolk. From biking to skating to walking or just sitting, this is a nice place to be.

What a beautiful place. The weather was nice, the views were incredible and people really enjoy this area and you can see why. Lots of history and it was so AMAZING to visit.

Always a great walk. We love to look at the water and the boats. Getting a workout is easy when your mind is preoccupied. P.s. Park by Harbor Park.

Nice little beautiful and quiet(maybe because of COVID-19) park with amazing view of Naval base Ships. People are working out, riding bikes and enjoying the views sitting on bench under the trees. Enjoyed my short trip here and would highly recommend anyone to stop by if in the area !!!

It was such a beautiful experience. It was my first time here and it was so peaceful. The waterside was good. We tried Guy Fieris restaurant. The ribs were good.

Love walking in this park with my family. Its always clean, beautiful, and the wind off the water makes the summer heat bearable. Nauticus is also fun and educational.

Great place to visit. Lots of history and Always a lot going on. And now that things are opening back up, its a wonderful place to go for your evening entertainment. Great restaurants and bars . Many all with-in a small area.

Very nice place to walk around the water.

Visited for the 1st time. the trails were nice, they were relatively well marked, just being in the woods was fun. Its dog friendly. There wasnt dog poop or trash laying around. The rest rooms were clean and COVID appropriate. I will certainly be going back!

Went for the Latino Festival . Had a blast! I didnt really get to see much of the park itself because of the festival going on but the surrounding area, like the pier and the Nautilus Museum, is wonderful. Watching the sunset over the water was beautiful.

I live downtown, so this is a great place to run, walk, bike, or push the baby in a stroller.

Town Point Park is located at 113 Waterside Drive in Norfolk, Virginia. Its a wonderful place to go to get exercise after a day of meetings or conferencing, as there is a fairly large brick path around the perimeter and the park always seems to be kept neat and clean.The view at this park is fantastic; a combination of ships being worked on in the boatyards with jets and helicopters flying by and pleasure craft criss-crossing the harbor.A good number of folks hit the sidewalks to walk and jog in the afternoon, while others hangout on the benches to catch the last rays of the day.Very nice place to wind down for the day. Beautiful sunsets here too.

Not a lot going on there today, but was able to walk around and check the welcome home statue and the love letters! Went over by Nauticus and checked out the Wisconsin warship, continued on to see the other statues on my way to the pagoda! What a wonderful day!

Very nice park, right by the water with a lot of benches in the shade to sit. Plus lots of grass to relax on, exercise, or play games. Highly recommend it.

Tall ship festival was AMAZING.

We were at the NATO Parade of Nations. Really fun! Its been so long since Ive been to a parade and there were 49 different countries represented in the parade. Then there was a festival at Towne Point Park afterward.

After visiting the USS Wisconsin and the Nauticus museum we strolled through Town Point Park towards the Waterside Centre. It was a cold spring evening but this would be a great spot to watch the sun set over the cranes and derricks of this working harbour.

Visited during Harborfest 2019. Had a great time. Very clean and lots of vendors. The ships are always awesome.

We are here for The free Symphony in the Park. It is perfect . We have the water at our back and the stage in front. The weather is Beautiful and everyone is having a great time. Definite must visit if you visit the Tidewater Area.

I always have a quality experience when I go to an event at Town Point Park. I do not like having to pay for parking, but it is very inexpensive compared to other cities. Event Parking in Norfolk is only $5.00. Everything is nearby, and their is always the light rail system. The food trucks are usually very good if you do not mind waiting in long lines.

Its a great park, but too many homeless people and panhandlers.

Awsome place to explore. There are some Navy military letters statues you can stop and read...these letters are dated from 1776-1971

I had a lunch date and took the ferry ride. Its always a great experience at Waterside District in Town Point Park. I love Downtown Norfolk

Good time for all to be had. Nice cruise ship for lunch or brunch. The staff was cordial and friendly. The food was good and plentiful. The scenery was excellent, not a bad view from anywhere on the ship.

Town Point Park is a really cool place. I especially love the Childrens Festival that they have every year!!! Cant wait to take my granddaughters!!!

Great spot for local festivals, great views and nice area to walk around and enjoy the scene. Right next to waterside district and downtown Norfolk.

If you want a nice relaxing place in downtown Norfolk to walk around, lay out at, or participate in events then this is the location. Perfect foreign evening stroll with family and friends or just to catch up on some thoughts. You can also watch the harbor life in the boats go by.

All the events they have out here is always great and over the top. The city spends the money needed to have fun and open to events. Hope they will have a third wine festival involving jazz or hip hop wine festival.

We have the best time watching the kids play in the fountains or just sitting on the outdoor couches. What a great family hang out spot!

Awesome experience and views. The Spirit of Norfolk cruise was amazing and I am a total fan of everything Mermaid and the mermaid sculptures were what made me feel like I was in the right place for a great time. Please do not hesitate to take a trip to Towne Point Park and enjoy the scenery and the overall experience with the area. Its not something I will ever be regretting that I did...so much to see! Excellent place for the entire family.

Had a great time out there. But was super hot out there the amount of money I paid for the tickets. I would at least think they would have shade to sit under. I should have paid general admission and bought my own chair

Really nice park in a really nice area. We came for a 5k marathon and it was a nice area for it. Right on the water along the inlet lots of neat boats up close and personal. Great for kids and pets, walking biking and all that. Grass was well manicured, and the views were quite pleasant for being in the downtown section of a bigger city.

Nice area and clean place to visit and walk around

Night nation run was fun! Although it didnt feel like 5k? More like 2mi but still had a good time and its always nice when youre able to participate and support a charitable cause like Stand up 2 cancer(SUC2). Some people who joined a previous night nation run said they did way better organizing everything this time around.

I love this venue, been to several of its concerts, and seafood events, great security, always feel comfortable here. Even for just a walk in the afternoon.

Town point park is located nicely in between the waterside District and nauticus. I love the events held at this park. Its a rather large area that sits right next to the water. From here you can watch as the spirit of Norfolk takes sail. I find it best to park in one of the garages located across from the park. This is a beautiful area to take a walk around and let the kids get some energy out. I absolutely adore the water fountain area the kids always migrate to. Benches are located all around making it easy to take a break and take in the scenery. When events are held here, you can be sure to see a great variety of food trucks pull up. The wine festival is always a big hit here, and one of my favorite events held at town point park.

Town point park is a wonderful place to either take the kids or just going out with your significant other. They have lots to do all summer long. I highly recommend it. Go there and enjoy your self. Lots of places to choose from if youre hungry.

Great spot for some live music...or to catch the sunset!

Lovely walkable green space right on the water, with Waterside District on one end and Nauticus on the other. Sometimes events are held here. Parking is available in garages across the street ($), or you can park on the street in nearby Freemason for free (2hr limit).

We enjoyed every minute of our time in Town Point. Listening to the music and seeing the USS Wisconsin was a great time!

Its awesome that the waterfront can be enjoyed by anyone, anytime at no cost. Multi purpose, clean and safe.

Cool place museum was closed though due to covid

Really enjoyed the open space, large grass area, good paths, and the area along the river.

I had a ball with the Summer Camp children. We took pictures, dance and at all we wanted. It was over too quickly though, we had lost track of time. Cant wait to go again next summer.

Went to the creole festival. It was a wonderful time. Music and food. Cant beat that..

Beautiful park along the Elizabeth river. You can catch naval base tours, and other small cruises here. Large fun events like Wine Fest and Harbor Fest are held here.

We took a naval base cruise from Town Point Park. The park was clean, well-lit, open and family friendly. The view is something to do even when there’s not an event going on. The scooter-shares are readily available most of the time. Norfolk has done a good job.

Beautiful location for a concert. The event wasnt planned well but the concert and the atmosphere was unbelievable. I love my people and culture.

This is a very gorgeous location. Lots of places to eat. The views here are amazing. Parking garage is located across the street with an overpass leading to the restraunts and the pier. The eating places all have an amazing view of the shipyard. I highly recommend going here. But bring your walking shoes because theres plenty to see.

What a great time at the bayou boogaloo this past weekend. Such a wonderful place. Beautiful park. Never been to Norfolk, so it’s great to knock that city off my travel list. Y’all done good Norfolk !!

The park is nice but doesnt fair well when there are big venues - vehicles block the brick walkway and the side walk to get in and out is not wide enough to safely walk along the road - if your handicapped or have strollers it can be challenging - I wish they would pull more into the center inside and leave the perimeter free

I was in town to do an interview. After the interview, I just wanted a few moments to relax. I asked my Garmin to direct me to the nearest park and this is where I wound up! Worth it. It was relaxing to be near the water, and enjoy the view. Nice even walkways, and clean. That made for a very nice visit. Ill definitely be going back.

Wondering why Cleveland, OH cant do something even half as nice as this. This is such a nice place to come down to an grab a bite to eat then take a walk along the water maybe catch a concert. Lots to see and do here along the water.

Best time to visit is between May and September. Be sure to check online for scheduled festivals and music opportunities.

Clean and well laid out at all events. Well lit for security. And good views of you just want to sit by the water and watch the boats. 2 parking garages nearby.
