Lafayette Park

Very cool place to play frisbee golf, its just very crowded so you have to wait a lot. But, its fun. They have a kids area but Covid-19 so, I didnt let my daughter play there. Lots of people there with no masks on. Right outside of the Norfolk Zoo

We went for the fun ninja warrior timed opstical course. Great for 13 and above. Park has fantastic kids playground, tennis courts, basketball court, bathrooms. Right on the backside of the zoo.

Warning! This park is covered in glass. I used to take my son and dog here, but now I cannot because there is so much shattered glass around the pavilions and basketball court. My dog was cut! I dont really care that theres trash everywhere. But they should 1000% clean up the glass or get sued.

I went here to play Disc Golf. Very nice disc golf course. Easy to navigate. Its a pretty challenging course too. The whole park is well maintained. The park is right by the Norfolk Zoo.

Beautiful old trees, dating back at least 80 years. Expansive, peaceful, lots of activities: playground, basketball courts, tennis courts, plenty of open grassy areas to throw a ball in, and new fitness equipment for older kids and adults. Bathrooms available but only in warm weather. Thats a disappointment. Kids still play in colder weather, as do grownups play football. But next to the zoo, which is nice.

Lafayette Park was the meeting place where men that was once counted out and deemed unworthy gathered here and United as ONE yet again... More to come!!!! These young OLD HEADS are making moves to ensure that those that have experienced the turmoil that we have will be excepted as well as assisted with mentoring and ambassadors to those who is accepting to the challenges that may lie ahead.

I just walked through as the zoo is my polling place. It was well maintained and a great play and gathering space.

One of the older city parks in the city of Norfolk. In general its a fine park underutilized by the local inhabitants. There are some minor issues like with all city parks. Otherwise its a good place to go to go relax. You can listen to the zoo, without being in the zoo.

The fields are perfectly cut,, several tennis courts, multiple playgrounds for kids, and youll never have to buy suplements because you will get a contact supplement if you come within 100ft of the basket ball courts.

Nice looking place. I really only drove past it, but people seemed to be enjoying themselves.

The activities.at this park has increased. It is a good change. My family and I enjoyed our time there today. The standing water is a turn off because it attracts insects.

Nice place. Right next to the zoo. Get there early enough can go to the zoo than park to end the day.lots of space to play football or soccer have a picnic if you wanted. Yoga classes on certain days.

Nice 9 hole disc golf course tucked into the southern portion of the park.

I lived in this area early 2018 and it was the best place to carry my dog with many functions to be utilized it was a 1 stop spot with features such as soft ball fields volley ball soccer football and out side seating for picnic lovers located fairly close to the zoo it boost a vary vast stretch of landscape that’s well keep and favorable for fury pets .It is worth a stroll or even a jog this park is well placed there are many food places located near by

Beautiful park lots of activities, a frisbee golf course and right next to the zoo.

My kids love going here. We drive 25 min for the awesome playground and ninja timing course. We also don’t let the kids roam too far from us though.

I had my Labor Day cookout there it was okay should have been better prepared for the Flies but in all family and friends had a great time

We went to this park for a pickup kickball game with a bunch of friends. There are a bunch of pavilions to set up for a party, which was great. The fields are well maintained, and there are bleachers to sit on.

Great 9 hole disc golf course brand new baskets hole 2 has a Marsh put to the left of basket so be careful with your discs around that

This is a nice park and the city has been improving it over the past couple years. There is something for everyone.

Havent fixed the broken slide in months

Nice park with lots to do. I attend a pop up yoga class that happens during the summer and theres always good shade for that. Even with the noise from the basketball courts, playground, and traffic, its still possible to have a great practice and even adds a little challenge. Love the market they do in the spring and summer with lots of different local vendors selling food and other goods as well!

Pretty well maintained park every now and then there is trash everywhere on the ground.

Its a great park, really hot n the summer, so try to go when its not that hot, and bring a water bottle!

Great shaded play ground for children. Has multiple pavilions and sports fields. Play area is geared more toward younger kids.

Basketball is in the air, so Jaeden & Jorden want some... I had a great day at the park with my grandsons:) and a 3 year old that truly can handle a basketball with skills.....this kid is awesome with moves!!

Had a wonderful time stopped by with my little 9 month old Chihuahua puppy and had lunch and for him to take a break and to get some exercise on our way back to Newport News Virginia. Great place to go .

Went there for the Unity Fest last weekend and loved the new additions they have, including new restrooms,long overdue. Will be visiting the zoo with fiancee sometime in the fall.

Large park. Nice sized playground facilities. A small problem with litter. Next to the city zoo.

I Always love the Zoo here in VA but it cant Compare to the zoo in Atlanta. Although it was a hot day, I was dressed for it so it ended being a wonderful day. I loved the different kinds of birds and of course the Lion. Its always intriguing to watch a Ferocious beast in his Calm and gentle state!Come visit Lafayette Park Zoo. Take the kids and allow them to experience nature in full!Turtles!

Beautiful park, but can be a little sketchy near/after dark. Its a great place to try out food trucks on Sundays.There are a couple open fields with bleachers, two sheltered event pavilions, a basketball court, a tennis court, and a large playground.

The area and location is awesome especially when you and your hubby want to your mind and be kids again

Great place for festivals and the trash cans are painted by a local artist.

Beautiful park outside of the Norfolk city zoo. Full of activities and other things for kids and adults to do. Also have a plant shop close by and a 7 eleven thats 24 hours for your best convenience. In the distance of a McDonalds and other places for food and enjoyment.

Its a nice park its clean..no buns laying or sleeping under trees no beer cans lot of squirrels for the dog to chase Id like the place.

Its alright for a park. My son enjoys himself. It has swings and multiple play sets with slides and the likes. Located right beside the zoo

Watched a college Womens rugby match. I dont know rugby, but it was fun to watch. Nice park with bleachers and some kind of flea market. Lots of people.

“Great festivals”Have been to many festivals for the last few years. Always had a fun time. Parking and light rail is close by. Sometimes there us an entry fee so take extra money

Nice place for old and the young

Didnt get to see much of the park but it has a decent rugby pitch. The bathroom facilities leave something to be desired. Most of the doors dont lock or are falling off.
