Beautiful park. I love to walk throughout this park in the peaceful mornings, especially the trail. Its a great work out. Such tranquility and beauty in this park.

Nice park, two sides. Awesome track, lots of people. The kids playground by the track gets very crowded in the summer with guys who are a little too old to be in there.

It was fast and easy. The nose test can be out of your comfort zone no lie I felt like I wanted to cry just from the feeling otherwise I lived so u be ok too.

Could use more portable toilets. Access for the handicapped. Better job maintaining of the the walking track.

The track goes around the perimeter of the beautiful lake. Along the track there are stations where you can do various strength training exercises. Be sure to wear insect repellent because part of the track winds through the woods.

Enjoyed my walk this morning it was a bright sunny and cold morning and the Autumn leaves, both on the ground and still in the trees were beautiful.

I have been running this track for over 20 years it nevwr seems to get easier..i love it.

Great park to run. It is nicely paved. Just a few potholes and a flooding problem in one particular area. But this morning a little annoyed when one of the parking areas read GOLF parking only. With so many people trying to work out and Gyms closed that shouldnt be. And when I really think about it, golf is a predominantly white sport. That sign might as well said to me WHITES parking only.

I loved the fact that you can workout with different equipment or walk the full track or workout in the open grass field

There are several tracks in very good condition. Clean with many workout stations around park. Nice place for idle time.

I always thought of Weequahic park as an iffy place to visit given the high crime rates of the surrounding areas, but truth has it that its gotten MUCH MUCH better. The walking path is a little chewed up and can trip any avid jogger so be warned. The police presence is heavy, the sheriff is always nearby and ensures the park stays empty after 10 pm. Not a place you can go to at a late hour, cops will stop near you and question you.

I like Weequahic Park Track. I did 1 lap around it. And did another around the football field. Its amazing

This Park is Lacking in Water Yes Drinking Water, i Had a experience where i jog in the park and over exhaust my body i was looking for water and i could not find a fountain, non whatever, i ask and was told there was water in the Community Center but it was close at the time, if it wasnt for a good Citizen that drove me out the Park and I Thank The Young man so much to go out of is way for a total stranger he let in is car .So am appealing to whoever is in charge of the Park before someone Collapse please get water in the Park.And could you hang that sigh up that say jogger to your Right.

Best park in NJ, its multiple Baseball and Soccer Fields and an awesome Football field with an amaizing Track surrounding it. Also if you need more of a challenge in your track training,there is a rubberized surface exactly like whats on the Track, about 2.5 miles with hills all around the Lake in the Park. Excellent place to bring the entire family for sports activity.

I Was Pleasantly Surprised!! I have not been to this park in years. And it looked nothing like it looks now. There was even a peacefulness and calm about it. I will definitely be visiting this park more often when I want to go out to relax and get some air.

Great park love the water sprinklers my son loved it. Great place for kids and adults to have fun. They also do reservations on there halls. You can rent there hall for parties baby showers large gatherings family reunion you name it

Love the lake

It was the yearly Memorial Day Weekend event. It was lots of fun for the kids and adults alike. There was a kite flying event, bouncy houses for kids of various ages, music, food. Free food for the children. A great incentive.The weather was perfect for the event.

Got covid test

Today, I had the opportunity to jog around the new track. It was my 1st time vising the park since the renovations. My only complaint, is there was some built up trash around the track. The maintenance personal should keep it cleaner. Ill continue to visit the track on a regular basis. I felt completely safe this morning.

Ive been coming to this park to workout for years and Ive always enjoyed the trail. The trail is rubberized and a little over 2 miles long with steep hills so once around usually gets my heart rate jumping. It also has about 4 resting stations that double as little workout areas - pullup bars, benches, etc. The trail surrounds a lake and every so often youll see swans but be careful, they will roll up on you. A lot of people fish in the lake too.

A beautiful park with running and jogging tracks. It has multiple playgrounds and lot of greens. There is a big lake that keeps the railroad inaccessible, which is good. Lately, I observed that people leave their trash behind. Authorities should do something about it.

Weequahic Park track can be very beautiful if there was no littering in my view as I exercised...and if your maintenance employees would do a better job.. for example like picking up vehicle tires and alcohol bottles left in the woods...fix pot holes....etc...

Love weequahic park. Have been coming to this park from a child. Great memories. I attended this park when there were row boats on the lake and stadium where we could watch the horses racing.

Walking around the lake gives you a real feel for the park. You get a better appreciation of nature and the park in general. I recommend it to anyone.

This is my Zen just walk and be one with nature. I love that the track has inclines and that it surround the lake. Its so peaceful yet very effective.

Thanks to the city for redoing the track, baseball and football fields job well done. A beautiful place for running or walking.

I grew up in Newark and Weequahic Park was one of my favorite places to go as a kid. I used to love running up the stadium steps with my family and enjoying cookouts in the park. Although the stadium is gone now I love what theyve done with the park. The track is really nice the playground is nice and they have a cute fountain in the middle of the lake. Theyve really done a nice job restoring Weequahic Park and making it a great place for families

Yes I love being in weequack park its a part of who I am as it was right down the street from my first home! Dayton street Housing development was where I opend my mind up to this world way back when there were horse stables where the golf course is presently at now History for real!

IT BIG AND VERY SPACE FULL THERE IS SOCCER BASKETBALL AND BASEBALL. THERE IS ALSO A MODERN PLAYGROUND IT HAS PATHWAYS TO RUN AND FOR RIDING A BIKE.

I love it but the essex county sheriff needs to increase their presence there.

The track is great but if it rains, part of it gets flooded, so be careful.

There are things to do for kids play on and water for hot hot days etc.

Possibility is endless, the track. The water, trees to keep us cool, cant asks for anything more. Blessings much

Love the miles, but the track needs a lot of work. A part of the track is under water. Some of the soft track needs repair. The concept is amazing if they did the work right.

My kids thought I was too old to run. I dusted all 4 of them. Lol
