This is not just a dog park. This place has numerous picnic and grill spot, childrens play area, many hiking and mountain bike trails as well as a full, picturesque and challenging disc golf course. There is a large pavillion, a rest area with facilities and maps, a ranger station and a science center. The park also has some rich history going back before the revolutionary war. There are many cool boulders and tons of interesting rocks. The trees are relatively old growth for this area and quite majestic.
Easy to find, the Event was great! My son and I drove 1hr 1/2 to be there and was not disappointed. Looking forward for next event
Visited the Iron Hill Science Center with my childs school field trip and thought that it was great. There are a lot of great taxidermied animals inside the Science Center and the staff were knowledgeable.Looking forward to visiting during their next Archaeology Weekend.
This is a really nice park with decent trails and well developed recreation areas.
Nice and fun powwows and the museum
Wonderful park, very shaded. Lots for all ages to do
A true educational and cultural experience. You must come check it out.
Good trails system with gorgeous scenery and history, but unfortunately, since its a smaller park, on the really nice days you will consistently be weaving in and out of the mountain bikers and the disc golfers. At one point the main trail actually runs along the interstate highway which is a total bummer too but they make the best of what they could. Theres a really nice a roomy dog park there as well as plenty of accommodations for picnics and day trips with the family. So, depending on what you want to go there for, this may be right up your alley!
Lots of trails and a excellent frisbee golf course, but very little fields and the frisbee golf course isnt finished. The course is all there, its just missing some of the tees and hole signs.
Me and the badangtan boys really liked runnin this park up ya heard
Awesome, came back in a big way
Great park. Has a shaded dog park so during the summer its even better. Great jungle gym for big and little kids. Disc gold, bike oaths, hiking. Pavilion for parties you name it. This park has it all. Can be a bit muddy, but... Your in a forest, so its OK.
Nice dog park with lots of shade. Has a gazebo and about 10 benches. Theres a water fountain for people and pooches. No paved path, looks like it could be a bit muddy in the rainy times of the year. Went on a beautiful Saturday in September and was surprised to see that we were the only ones there.
Great one day powwow.
Went to PowWow here. Great information on Delawares fowl and aquatic rodents.
Lots of nice trails for hiking and/or mountain biking. Also a demanding disc golf course, a bark park, and great play ground for the little ones. Plenty of picnic tables and a pavilion too.
Nice county park. Big playground. 2 large dog parks. Plenty of parking.
My puppy loves the dog park.
Beautiful disc golf course highly recommended
Beautiful, well maintained and fun! New to the area, lots of nature trails, 2 dog parks and childrens park as well. If youre running the trails I would suggest not wearing your gym shoes haha.
A really nice park for a famiy
This is a nice dig park set back into the woods. There is a little walk from the parking area back to the dog parks (both a big and little dog section). The park itself is decently sized, and had ample seating for humans. There is a driving fountain inside each park, and the large dog side has a large bowl a past user left for continued use. The park is very shaded, and has a gazebo in the large dog side for shelter.Dogs there trends to be very friendly and owners are engaged and very open to all breeds, in my experience. The negative: it gets buggy during evenings and especially in the fall. Its also muddy after rain, as the mulch brought in cant stand up to the moisture and constant barrage of dogs.My dogs always have a great time and leave exhausted. I just make sure to have a blanket or towels down in the car for extra messy days.
Amazing. Especially if youre into history.
Iron Hill where the hill is made of Iron! Nice events. History.
So many fun things to do here! If youre into geocaching this place has some fun ones!
In good condition and Ive never seen it really crowded. LOTS of shade. Just watch out in the afternoons, the mosquitoes will eat you alive!
Quiet, nicely redone. Great place to take the dog with both woods and a dog park.
Nice park for short hike and frisbee golf
Convenient dog park. There tends to be a somewhat higher number of problem dogs and inattentive owners than other parks. Its not very likely youll run into one, but its happened to me here more than other places.
Nice dog park
Nice playground and dog park. Lots of hiking trails, disk golf. Not much parking.
Beautiful park. Not many people know its there.
Awesome place.
Challenging disc golf course, with alternate baskets and tee pads. Well marked. Tends to be muddy.
This is a neat little museum.
Great place to hike and look at wild life
A nice place to hike and Geocache.
Looking for a house near there
Great for history and hiking.
Very nice with lots of paths and always clean
Awesome disc golf
