Did a paranormal investigation with my team, Black swamp paranormal of NWO on Nov 6th and we got shadow figure 2x and we had our voices copied and in areas we were not. Creepy!

Okay, I didnt really want to go in knowing that it was haunted. Worth it! Lots of history and cool architecture to rooms.

The haunted jail was well put together and a fun time, but the organizer did a very poor job, no one told us where to go after purchasing tickets, then we stood in line an hour or so, we were pretty close to the entrance (once we found it?), but line did not move and no one said why (just tell me why)? It was drizzling rain, windy & cold, pretty miserable hour, we were in ticket line 6:45 after 7:15 when ticket door opened, then in entrance line until almost 8:00, could see entrance, it was after 7:30 when people started entering haunted jail (supposed to open at 7:00). They need to move smoking area, could see staff sitting and smoking, I guess breaking and we are standing in line and it was not moving? Hats off to staff in haunted jail it was really a fun walk through jail, organizers need a lot of help?

Beautiful Gothic building. Complete with many trapped spirits who have served their time and should be released. The architecture of this space is stunning with details worked in everywhere, even the down spouts. If you walk this space and dont feel there are consequences deep in your bones, go get checked.

Always wanted to check out their haunted Jail, it was great! My 12 year old really enjoyed it and I came back for a second time with my husband!

The jail is awesome to see, even if you dont believe its haunted.

Waited 2 1/2 hours in line. They charge 3.50 for a luke warm cup of cocoa. Then when inside it was people dressed in cheap costumes. With no skits of any kind. Lasted 10 to 15 minutes. Definitely not worth the 3 hrs nor the 18 bucks given.No thought at all involved. Maybe you should use some of the money you make and rent some horror movies to get some ideas.

Loved this place. The ladies running it are wonderful and very knowledgeable. Had our batteries on our camera drain within minutes. Heard a ladies scream. My boyfriends cmera stopped working but it continued to record and picked up someone telling him it froze. We did the overnight investigation and would recommend this place to anyone whos interested in haunted places. Great job ladies. We really enjoyed being there and meeting you both.

Awesome place. Our group was there for a private paranormal investigation and the activity was off the charts. We believe the relationship between 3 of our members and Mae Varner may have helped. Our hostesses were awesome as well!!!! They very knowledgeable and truly loved the building. We will return to this amazing building!!!!!!

It was so much fun but the line took all of my friends and I 2 and a half an hour sust to get to the entrance. It took us just at least 20 minutes to go through the whole place.

Really great place to visit if they still use it they would have less people who are getting in to trouble

Spent a long time waiting in the cold just to be placed with another group in the back.. was hit with a door and ran into an actor because they didnt realize we were part of the group.. wasnt even scared because I was dead last and the tour was really short.. so $36 later and I wasted my time! Very disappointing I chose this as the one haunted house I get to go through this year. Next time Ill insist to not be grouped with 5 strangers plus us..

Perfect haunted house for those who want a thrill but not a scared-for-your-life kinda experience!! Was scared out of my mind in the front of the group, but absolutely loved it. 10/10 would recommend (also make sure to pay the extra $7 for the fast pass. best decision we made)

This is such a cool place to visit, hear about the history of it and the town, and to go on a ghost tour. Its right next to a market district where there are weekly markets throughout the summer. Highly recommend visiting!!

Had such a great overnight investigation with my team, the Greater Ohio Spirit Trackers! Hosts were wonderful as well. Had a lot of great evidence and experiences here. Well worth the money!

Lots of history. The tour was great! Im horrible at names but the guy who took us around was an awesome tour guide.

It brings u back to reality when u go through the haunted jail, and Im not talking about the show they put on for Halloween, but the spirits that are stuck in the jail!!!

My husbands fav spot. And I have to admit, I always find some great deals myself.

We went for April, Friday the 13th. Loved it! The investigators were the best! It was awesome running around with them and experiencing things. I have doubt that this was memorable for us as well as the 2 investigators who we were with( Eddie and Austin).Well be back. Maybe we can run around with them again.

A rare historically correct 1889 jail with proven paranormal activity. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. You could visit a dozen times and still not see everything or hear all the intriguing stories!

Tear it down for more green space.

Wonderful facility. Their final Friday tours are informative and engaging & their fall Jail of Terror is one of the best haunted houses in the area !!! Plus they have $5 flash light tours that are Beyond creepy ... A real gem in the community !!!

I have not been for the Halloween Tour, but the renewed jail is fantastic. Very interesting to go through and learn about the history. Jim and the staff are very well informed on Newark, OH history.

Absolutely amazing place! Its being restored beautifully, and being taken care of by a group of fantastic people. I cant wait to return.

It was a very fun time at the Jail of Terror but kinda short, not sure if it was worth $18 but definitely a better horror house.

This old local jail is very structurally sound even as old as it is.

As a haunt during October, this place is great! The make up artists do an amazing job and the actors really really good. Definitely worth the price of admission.

Did a 1st floor only tour. Even in the daytime this place is super creepy. I cant imagine having to spend any time there. I hope that someday they can make the living quarters like they were back when it was occupied.
