Amazing hidden gym! Didnt see another soul there the entire time! Only issue is people use the trails for Quads so leaves it very muddy! Youre not supposed to ride motorized vehicles back there but its evident people ride there a lot. Amazing views!

Wonderful!!I wish general public was not so lackadaisical about pitching their litter. Me & the critters are bitter about litter- this isnt Uranus you know.Very splendid drop for kayak/canoe. River was beautiful, birds galore. Did not do so well w fishing, sure not complaining! Nice, steady current.

Had a great time walking the trails to come to a secluded fishing spot.. lots of shad roaming free. Saw tracks of a big cat and some deer. Great view. I followed the trail closest to the water about halfway up. Opens up into the pics shown below. Happy hiking/fishing/camping/whatever..

Few junkies in tents last time I decided to ride the trail to the fire road. Maybe someone needs to do a walk through.

You get nice view of Licking River walking on trail. But its heavily used by 4 wheelers so its pretty torn up. Not much of a nature preserve.

Beautiful day for fun in the river and trails we had a great time. Now only if people would pick up after themselves

Beautiful County park, right near downtown Newark, OH. Ample parking. Excellent canoe/kayak launch ramp on the Licking River. Walking trails. No off-road motorized vehicles allowed.

Great Park down by the Licking River near downtown. Nice grouping of ball fields and open areas go walk and play

Beautiful and wooded, its the perfect place to spend the hot afternoons

Good place to drop in a Canoe, Kayak, or Tube. Will take you east to the west edge of Blackhand Gorge parking on Brownsville Rd, about 3-4 hours. There should be less people on this stretch. You could do a longer trip here all the way through Blackhand Gorge to Toboso Rd. Havent done all-together, but sure it would take 6-8 hours
