Beautiful spot to start a run or hike along the Erie Canal. Be sure to head west on the trail, as it runs continuously for several miles thru Palmyra and on to Macedon. The trail does not run continuously east toward Lyons but jogs on to the road in several spots. Easier to run west and bike east from here.

Beautiful small park area, very clean w/excellent maintenance. Can see the boats dock or putter on by. Great place for a picnic with friends, family or on your own! Immediate access to the Canal View Pathway.

Newark has done an amazing job with their Canalside facilities. First time I actually visited the adjacent park. Enjoyed ice cream from the nearby shop. Whether youre a boater or a landlubber, theres something for everyone.

Nice place to spend the night on our canal travels. Clean restrooms and shower, free laundry. Chamber of commerce people are very friendly. We will continue to keep this as overnight stop.

We did not stop here but it was quaint looking.

Showers have hot water....awesome. Then a Ken called the cops on me while drying my clothes.

In my opinion, one of the best ports along the canal. Friendly staff, clean, and nice looking. And its FREE (though I leave a donation).

The art on the bridges are beautiful. But, the canal around here is always polluted.I find plastic bags, shopping carts, abandoned fishing lines, dead fish and more.You have to watch where you walk when you play Pokemon Go (You have to anyway. But with this, I mean double time because of the obstacles that could lurk around the corner).Other than that, its fair to walk around.

Relaxing and quiet

The park was nice, but nobody was wearing a masked, there was no social districting. And there was a party down near the bridge of at else twenty people or more and no masked, complete with children.

A quiet place to sit and read

Nice little park alongside the canal. Be sure to check out the mural under the bridge. Continue south in the trail for a stroll. In the summer there are often some cool boats.

Clean, pump outs, water, electricity, wash house. Across the street is the ARC care and Ice cream.

The Port of Newark is a newly upgraded, clean, and has beautiful murals that were painted by a local artist! The hold live free concerts every Friday in the summer. They have dog-walking waste facilities, emergency first aid kits, trash receptacles, adult-relaxation swings, docks, local hotel, and restaurant nearby! It is very enjoyable!

Great place for boaters. Electricity, water, laundry and tie up is all free! Great people too.

Great dock location.Dock is too high. Cant get off the boat onto dock!

Bathroom facilities really good.Had to get the police to open the bathroom after hours.Very nice, efficient PD.Second best facilities after spencerport.

Great friendly service at the local public docks - showers, restrooms and even washer and dryer - all at no cost to travelers by boat! Parkers Grille and Taphouse was also a good place for a bite and a beer after a long day navigating Erie Canal.

If youre planning on stopping here in the town, prepare for pizza shops...
