I love this park. They have a great playground, volleyball court, basketball court, baseball field, and some soccer fields. Plenty of space to walk on pavement and very dog friendly. There are great food options offered by food trucks. All around great park!

I loved this place it gave me peace and quite i just sat there in a place I have never been and it just made me feel like I was in a fairy tale

Dog park closed again.. should leave open, people stay 6 ft or more away from each other. Let the dogs run and play in some fresh air!

If you go really early, this is a decent park. Its not huge, but theres a track, playground, 2 soccer fields, a basketball and volleyball court, etc. In the afternoon, it gets really crowded. Teenagers and families take over the track, making it impossible to jog. Signs instructing people to socially distance and wear masks are everywhere, but theyre not enforced. Ninety percent of the people in the park dont wear masks and gather in groups.

A very popular park in the area. Lots activities. Its the weekend and its crowded but everyone is enjoying themselves...one key thing though everyone I saw in park is wearing a mask.

It seems like a nice place I saw a lot of people running around and enjoying themselves I was there basically because Essex county had an emergency food bank location at the park

Chile what do you expect? its a park. basketball court, tennis court, two soccer fields, one baseball field, one kiddy playground with sprinklers for the summertime. cute squirrels, lots of trees. big park and nice to get ice cream and stroll around or good for a cute friend date.

Very large park. Not many bathrooms. Caught a man urinating behind a bush. Folks are not nice when it comes to their dogs. Let them pee and poop where folks want to sit on grass. Should have a dog park just for them.

I love bringing my daughter here. I went to East side high school so it’s a treat bringing her here.. we stay for hours..food trucks and ice cream trucks are all around..they have a zip line for children (teenagers break it a lot so it’s often out of service ). Lots of playground equipment. One of our favorite playgrounds to visit.

Rules! 3 dunkin donuts withing 1/2 mile!

This is a fantastic place to take the kids for a cheap but fun day out. There is plenty of things for them to climb on and slide down to keep them occupied for hours!

Nice park, one of the best that Ive seen in Newark.Theres astroturf for soccer or football. Basketball courts, etc.There are benches to sit on, trees provide shade. Theres a top notch playground w water that cools kids down during summer. There are restrooms right next to the playground.4/5 stars because the city needs to repave the walkway.

The park is incredibly fun. It is a good way to let the kids have fun. This has mire than a park it also has a soccer field a baseball field and alot of side walk to walk on with the family.

Great park A great place to relax on your own time and think things over. The swings are great for kids and adults since this is the first real training swing Ive seen where one can bring there child to swing on the swing with one . Calm quiet people cool and relax.

An amazing park built and renovated by Essex County that will always remain a part of my Childhood. Interesting new additions to the park have been made since I last returned including: ziplines, wooden xylophone sets, rock climbing walls, sturdy swings and many others. Even if you dont enjoy conventional park-playing, you can find a basketball court, soccer field, and a baseball pitch to suit your various sporting needs. Water fountains (with nice tasting water) also make a nice addition to the park.

There was so many games and sports to choose from and play. My family loves this park and tries to go daily to stay active. It is also relaxing when trying to have a picnic.

It was a beautiful place for a walk and for bike riding/rollerblading.

Good place to run. Soccer field, area for children. A nice place for families. I dont like all the vendors because they obstruct the area but its not a big issue.

I love this park. Winter, spring, summer or fall, always go there. You have a variety of things to do there. Play soccer, basketball, baseball, also there are swings, slides, and other amusements for kids. Take my 11 year old daughter there during summer and she loves it. She always find her friends from school and make new ones. I relax too .. love it!!

I grew up across the street from the park its changed over the years. Looks great and much better then before. Since 1989

The carpet inside the playground is torn up. Its very easy for children to trip and fall. Theres a huge hole in it.

Great park to go to early morning. Once noon hits the crowd starts to grow and it can get over crowded. But I grew up in the area and this has always been our go to park

This water thing can keep babies busy. You have older children bumping into the babies. There is no place for the water to be drained and children are playing in dirty water. For such a big park you will think the water and playground will be separated. The park was dirty. I will never go there again. I was visiting a friend and she warned me but my son wanted to play in the water.

I like to take my son to ride a bike and play in the playground.and a park with lots of shade. very good place for leisure with the family. He is great to take a walk. It has the field to play basketball and basketball. I could not forget to tell someone who has a dog, there is an area for them to get loose for fun and poop and pee

This a cute little park in a nice Newark neighborhood. Well maintained and clean. Can be very busy

Nice park with fields yo play baseball, soccer and basketball... Pretty playground for kids... The only thing missing is a space for dogs.

Courts of all ball types, mostly.A lot of green. Trees. The perimeter is .9 Miles... Good for jogging in the beginning, nice and flat.

Jus a beautiful clean park with no trouble people jus outside enjoying the weather and participating in sport ..fun.. and or life...let not forget the eye candy that comes thru here on a.daily basis...Jacks hotdogs truck ...the ic we cream truck man paraded there all day and night stackin... che k it out u will not be disappoint ..u may even see me there with my daughter its her favorite park too...

They need to work !!!!! They have portable bathrooms and sometimes the smell is unbearable. They have a circular thing, that I dont even know what is that for? But useless, instead they should create something more useful..

Very busy park. I AM A volunteer with THE RED CROSS, and we had a great event there.THE park is very green, and very clean!!.........lol.

It was a 5 but zip line is broken and other plays. Hope they don’t let the park goes to waste.

This park is so nice,they have games for each age,basket ball court,foot ball court its so much fun there.

This park is great to bring children, but its quite small and doesnt have a lot of room for running. There is no track field. However, it looks clean and safe so I might use it for light runs in the future.

If you have babies or toddlers, dont bring them here. The kids here are like linebackers & they run across small children without watching out or being careful & obviously, their parents dont say anything.

Really nice park. The facilities just got upgraded which is nice. Too many irresponsible dog owners using this place as an open air sewer. The city or county needs to enforce the law and give out fines.

Where I go to relax

They just redesigned the toy area. My son love it. The sprinkle/spray area is ok you have to be directly under it to get wet but the mist do cool you off little. They added more benches which is a plus. I enjoy the xylophone sounds. This definitely brought more children to the park. Plain clothe security.

Awesome!It was 52 degrees outside, and I was able to do my Yoga stretchs on the soccer field!

Park with renovated playground for kids. Plenty of space, trees to provide shade in summer, very big playground for kids with multiple attractions and activities. Gets crowded on weekends and after school, since there are few schools nearby. Only downside - limited on street parking.

Love hanging out here, they have several sports areas and its a big park. Next to a school, so when the kids are released, it gets lively, but overall fun place to walk and shoot hoops.
