Today its amazing the weather was very good i pass a good time

The turf field at the Riverfront Park is located just outside of Newark and the Passaic River. The turf is decent but could be better (definitely better than most fields that I have played on in NYC). The turf is short and not too rubbery. There are some bleachers around the field for viewing. It is often reserved by Ironbound SC. Parking is a bit of a pain with a small lot next to it with a capacity of about 20-25 cars. I always ended up parking on Freeman St which is close enough.

Its really beautiful at night.Get ready to see teen hanging out lots of people around.

An oasis in the city of Newark. A 15 min walk from Newark Penn station, this park is a nice option for an evening stroll and family get away. Park has soccer fields, tennis court, baseball diamond, and race track all nestled away from the hustle and bustle of every day Newark.

Riverfront Park is located on Raymond Boulevard in Newark the park is on the Passaic River the park is great I love the yellow wood it is kinda like the yellow brick road In the Wizard of Oz the Park is great also cuz you can see Red Bull’s Arena and the Railroad’s in the distance and there are great murals such as Detox the River due to the pollution in the Passaic River great place and you can smell the great meats and veggies being cooked in Ironbound this park is just an example of making Newark Better

The evening view of this place is breath taking. I could watch the sunset everyday and never get tired from this place.

Kid and dog friendly. We love our walks.

Ive enjoyed this park ever since it was built up years ago. It can get a bit crowded on certain days. Still recommend.

I love this park its a good exercise and relaxing. Great for picnics

Watch out for the Armco Barriers. They eat aluminum rims with rubber for desert.

A lovely park. An 8 mile walking trail, mini gym, calm, serene atmosphere. With courts for basketball and much more.

I made a picnic birthday party to my girl there...it was awesome!!! The park is great ! I love it!

Essex County Riverfront Park stretches from Oxford Street East along Raymond Blvd. It it is an active park with a great soccer field, baseball diamond, 3 tennis courts, a basketball court, and 2 childrens play area, one equipped with a nice sprinkler system for the summer heat. If sports are your fun, this is a place to get it on. Not to be confused with its passive sister park areas to the West along the Passaic River.

Beautiful new playgrounds and nice place to walk..the last playground is a little too secluded and always empty I’m not sure why ?? It’s brand new and big... with sprinklers and a lot of playground equipment..I love walking from penn station all the way to the end where new playground is...They need more security in that last playground though.. it’s a hidden gem.

The City of Newark has supported many activities at this park, such as the boat tours and diverse musical events. This park has a sports-designated areas (baseball field, tennis courts, baseball courts, and this behemoth soccer field) and two playgrounds. Im not a sports person, so the thing I like about Riverfront Park are the walking paths and the views of the river.

The park is nicely designed from end to end. Great place to visit daytime or night. Being near water has a calming affect on me.

Wow.. the development of the riverfront park is excellent. Theres so much to do biking, jogging, they even have a fitness area. A nice place to visit, soak up some sun and view the river.

Great park and amenities, great view and walk path along the water. Well maintained park. It serves major outdoor sports. The strange thing is that they keep restrooms locked. I never understood how that could be whie sports going on for the whole day.

Full security police spotted all the time, familiar place to go with your kids. Three playgrounds and one soccer field. Very nice

Good place to enjoy with our family!

A great place to sit on the bench and have emotional breakdowns while chain-smoking cigarettes and contemplating your life decisions. Lots of garbage cans for your sad cigarette butts. Nice view of Red Bulls arena and a very sad Passaic River.

It was nice

Awesome space, u can walk, relax, play tenns, soccer, basketball, exercise machines, area for kids. The only thing is the smell of the river if you sit close to it. The river front is across the Bull stadium.

Love this place

It is a beautiful park. Has seating in multiple areas and a beautiful view of the river. And the zoo is right next door. Parking is free

It was really nice, it just need more walking police officers. There were some darker areas were people was drinking and smoking.

Very beautiful park the view is amazing.I give it 2 stars because sadly it is full of drug addicts and homeless people especially in the boardwalk area.Really scary by the way!!

Cozy waterfront for running exercise.

Great features, baseball field, tennis court, soccer field, and childrens play area with water feature. Sit and relax or run and get in better shape, its there.

Ok for parking. Coming along nicely with renovations. Roses everywhere. But its still very much along the highway and as such noisy

Good community park, great activities in the summer, and well kept.

A vast improvement over therubbish and drug riddled mess that this area was when I was a child. They did a great job cleaning it up.Its now beautiful and large with exercise machines, running track, board game area, 2 tennis fields, a baseball field, two soccer fields, plenty of benches/chairs and a fever view.Along the canal bay area is a walking front with a cool view and perfect for jogging and dog walking. The only big drawback is the polluted waterside that is smelly and gross. Wish it wasnt polluted so swimming would be a thing. Also disappointed that people from outside this area continually deface the efforts to clean it with litter and graffiti.

Its a park that I usually dont pick up homeless or drunks or people who have done too much heroin. But its on the Glorious Passaic River that might catch on fire this week

The location is across the street from where I live and my grandkids loves playing there and enjoys the water sprinklers!

The park is nice but it a lot of drugs addicts, trash on the floor, and gang members that always jump people and robbed people

Its ok but they need to stop discriminating against service dogs when i take my kids to play in the water area the staff needs to be aware of the laws that protect ESA animals please no dogs does not include service animal they are protected by the lay of disability

Nice turf soccer field for the City of Newark. Little nearby parking makes it rough at times to not find a space and have to park a distance away

Love the house music, and the kickball games, the director of rhw park is a very nice lady.enjoyed working w her on the kickball team.

Beautiful views of Downtown Newark and the Passaic River.

The quiet and surine location is great for singles, couples and families. Great for enjoying the out doors, picnics, and had two play grounds.

Dont let the pictures fool you this park is very nice and very clean. The park consists of a soccer, basketball, and baseball field with two smaller parks for children. It has a view of the Passaic River and the Redbull stadium.

Went there for my sons traveling soccer team game, saw a lot of drug addicts around park. No police at all.
