Great family friendly atmosphere. Our waitress was awesome although I dont recall her name (my apologies). We were celebrating a birthday and she made the birthday girl feel very comfortable by dancing and sing with her. She was very attentive and on point with service. The children loved it, even the adults had a great time. Absolutely loved the interactive bowling screens!

On website Main Event advertised holiday special after 12 noon $19.99 for all day play arcade excluded. I went November 27, 2020 and was told that offer has not valid due to COVID-19. I explained to host that website was updated within the past week. The host offered no explanation instead was very rude. As of a today the advertisement is still posted on website. This is false advertisement

Some staff were rude and not friendly. We were here to play bowling and just handed the receipt after. We went to the bowling area and were told that the shoes are in the front area and told that we are in waiting list for 30mins. They didnt even care to explain that i will be receiving text if its our turn for bowling. But my kids enjoyed the place anyway. Good side, you wil find gloves and.hand sanitizer scattered in all areas.

Main Event was great! Took my son for his 5th birthday and he loved it! It was perfect place for him considering hes at the in between stage where hes still young but still too old for for a place like Chuck e Cheese. The service was great, there were tons of games for us to play together, and I cant forget how great the food was! Cant wait to go back!

Great for families and even groups of adult friends. Nice bar complete with traditional stools and a sophisticated selection of wine, beer and liquors. Amazing customer service and even better atmosphere. Highly recommend the laser tags and bowling lanes to bring a healthy dose of competition to every family.

Its okay. While visiting there were four games that did not function properly. Most of the basketball games only had one or two balls provided, which is diffidently not enough. They seem to have a good number of games and they provide a fairly good atmosphere. Lot of different activities happening. Bowling and Laser Tag looked super fun. The elevated ropes/adventure course looked fun, but it is on the smaller side when compared to other indoor courses of the like.

First time here. Fun overall however cleanliness lacked. I did not see staff cleaning games after use....hence the reason I bought my own cleaning wipes to do so!

It reminds me of a smaller version of Dave & Busters. Overall all though it’s a really good family experience, especially for a parent like me who’s competitive. Lol laser tag was fun! A lil short n small but but, bowling was excellent, the food was good, n the games was good also. The prize shop was pricey but it was a fun time.

Lots of fun for kids and adults plenty of games a bowling alley laser tag even a bar. The prices are a little high on some of the things I spent $50 and it was gone in a little over an hour it wasnt to crowded early on a sunday I have been here when it was very crowded and we still had fun overall a nice fun clean place

Customer service is definitely not the focus in this location.. Went with my daughter for the first time and be honest staff just don’t want to give you service. I wanted to go check how many points the card had at the toy spot.. 5pp at the desk and I waited and I waited and I waited this is on a week day Monday not even busy. And I had to speak loud just for someone to even to take care of me.. The reason I came today was to check if i wanted to have my daughters birthday party here NO THANK YOU.. Customers not Wearing mask properly employees walking by not saying anything definitely disappointed..

Took my siblings there this past weekend. We went early so it wasnt crowded. They took our temperature and made us sanitize before going in. Everyone was wearing a mask and there was lots of hand sanitizer throughout. The place is huge with lots to do laser tag, bowling, pool, zip line, arcade games. The customer service was awesome. They were running a special of $20 for unlimited times on all activities besides the arcade. So it was a great deal! We didnt eat so cant speak to the food or drinks.

Wish I could give this 0 stars. Drove all the way from NJ, have never been IDed before just for the arcade for my kids. Husband had ID. Should’ve said I was 17 instead of my 33 because I guess children don’t need ID. Only adults going to an arcade need ID. Don’t bother complaining to management. They won’t do anything either. If you’re going to change your policies, you need to post them.

My son loves this place, but I have issues. Many games are broken, the rope climb is not managed right and mean to my son on numerous occasions. The staff act like they dont want to be there and have attitudes. Im very disappointed every time I go. The saving grace is there is a bar, and we can carry drinks around with us - which prevents my from punching a staff member.

I will never go there anymore. I went there 2 weeks ago. Then there was a long line of people. I waited for an hour then they asked me for my identification. At that time I had no idea that I should bring my ID because I have been there twice and entered into the place without showing my ID. Anyway, I had my ID student and my International driving license. I showed it to one of the employees. He said you cant enter this place you need to bring you passport. Imagine after waiting for an hour when it was raining a little bit, they did not let me get into. I said, okay why didnt you post this new policy on your website. He said we do not have to post our policy. I said okay I respect that so far so good. A weak later, I went there again and reserved for a Bowling. They said you have to wait for an hour because the lanes were busy. I had no problem with that. After waiting for an hour, they said you have to wait for an other hour. I talked to the manger he said if you wanna wait that’s good if you don’t we can refund your money without even apologizing. I wish you treat your customers better and you need to organize your schedules for the bowling before you let you customers wait for hours. Finally, I don’t recommend you to visit this place especially in these days.

First time using Main Event to plan a party, and to say I wasnt satisfied is an understatement.In regards to your site, you might want to eliminate Parties at the bottom of the screen as an option. Because one would assume its for a party in general, not a KIDS birthday party......considering when you book the event, not ONCE does it say anything about kids or ages.I booked on a Friday and was contacted the following Monday, when the party was planned for Thursday. Obviously I had to cancel.If it was my error, I would just move on but considering it wasnt I would like to make you aware so that the issue can be fixed on the website.

So after waiting in line for almost 3 hours. We were scrutinized about the amount of people in our party. Then were told we had to stay with our teens and children the entire time. I dont even know how thats even possible to keep up with teens and children when they are here to obviously have a good time. One of my kids is 18 months old with me clearly he dont play the same games as my teenagers. What a joke.

Went there for a date in the afternoon on a weekday. Wasnt bad but it wasnt great either. When I played laser tag, i had to put on a new vest cause the gun wouldnt work on the first one, and then the gun on the second vest broke lmao.. Games took a lotttt of points and it definitely racks up in cost quick. Be prepared to spend a couple hundred dollars if you wanna do everything and eat. The customer service was okay. A few people asked if we were all good but then a few others seemed kinda annoyed that we were even there. Overall not the worst experience ive had at an amusement center but definitely couldve been better. Maybe if we went at a busier time it wouldve seemed more fun.

I came to main event 3 times n both of times I came i didnt need no idea but I come tonight with people n the security guard got hella nasty when j said I was 23 years old since when did I need a State ID to come in like he didnt want to hear anything from us

The customer service is great they really make you feel welcome and have plenty to do for kids and adults alike. My only reason for 4 stars is because I believe the pizza is way overpriced for what you receive and i think it could be better if it wasnt so thin other than that fries and chicken are great

Kind of expensive and the pizza is terrible. Games are all over $1 each to play and the prizes arent worth the amount of tickets they want especially being as though it takes a lot of money to play the games to even get prizes.

With covid going on service was great. They have hand sanitizer stations set up everywhere and they have employees walking around cleaning off the machine and games. I would go back.

They certainly put out quite a spread for our corporate team building event! Delicious sliders, veggies, fruits, cheeses, and the cutest little cup desserts!! Only 4 stars as some of the lanes were having perpetual issues but the majority were working just fine!

It was just ok. We were excited about going because we havent been anywhere for fun since the pandemic. When we got there it was a good amount of people but we were told that we couldnt bowl because there were reservations although we were invited to a party by my brother whod reserved a lane for his guests. Then, we tried to order milkshakes with our meals and we were informed that they ran out of ice cream the day before! My question is how do you run out on Saturday and let the whole day and night go by on Sunday and not buy more for the patrons coming in on Sunday??? Bad look Main Event. Lastly, alot of the games were broken. 3 stars may have been generous.

It was brothers day today and his first time at main event . We had a great time playing pool .

Called at 12 pm to let them know I was taking my staff for a night out of bowling and fun. asked if I could make a reservation for 30 people for 9:30 pm The lady said they’re not doing reservations but it’s not busy at all and we would have the place to ourselves pretty much. Drove 45 minutes just to tell my employees that we couldn’t go in. really awesome experience especially when I’m trying to do something nice for my staff. This establishment is an embarrassment

Main Event is a good place to go if you want more than just bowling. I went a few days ago and it was a lot of fun, they have a lot of activities and its a good place for parties or family trips. What I find most convenient is that you can order food from your bowling alley, so you wont have to leave at your turn. The wait is pretty long depending on what you want to do, but its understandable, considering amount the publicity it gets. Its a really fun place I recommend going.

We went to a birthday party here for my grandson and even though the place was very crowded. The whole event was a great experience for the kids. It was well put together and run. The kids all had a blast. I would recommend this establishment to anyone for their parties.

A great place for birthday parties or just hanging out with the family. The highlight for the kids were the Lasertag and Zip line. They also have bowling, and tons of arcade games. The staff was great, and very patient explaining what options we had. The food and drinks were surprisingly affordable and really good. So no need to leave the Main Event facility for an affordable meal. The found a lot value in the all day pass they have for LaserTag, Zip line and Bowling! unlimited play... the kids loved that. Check out the place for yourself, youll love it.

Great and amazing place service is excellent but some of the employees are very rude to children and also one of the employees got into a fight with a customer on the gravity ropes it’s like nobody cares.

I would NOT recomend this place . Service is horrible, food is disgusting . My family and I were looking forward to go onto lazer tag for 20 minutes and we were there for eight minutes. we waited a long time and nobody was there to help . our party person wasn’t as nice as expected. also the place is smaller than expected never coming back !

Horrible... They dont bother to tell you when you pay,that its a 2 hour wait to participate in any of the games. Only thing is you ay in the arcade for an additional outrageous amount of money! Got a refund,left,wont return! Ruined my grandsons birthday. Drove for an hour to come there.

Attended a party with my childs classmates. The place was teeming with people, but despite how busy things were, I cannot say enough about how hard working, attentive and polite the girls were who took care of our party! Everything about this place speaks of excellence! If you are disappointed about the wait, please consider the quality of the experience they are creating for their guests as the reason why. The pizza was excellent! Laser tag, arcade and pther games and the bowling were all top notch! I really love the software used for the children who were bowling!! Very innovative and really added to their experience! I did not play pool, but saw the tables. My personal opinion is that this establishment will eat away at the traffic to Dave & Busters, without directly competing with them. There are things they offer here the children cannot do at D&B.

The service at the tables was terrible. We had to ask 3 times for napkins and silverware. The roast beef sandwiches were disgusting. It didnt even seem like real meat. The burger my wife got was very good though. All the activities and games were very fun also. We had a good time, except for the bad service.

Great place for all ages! Both of my children - ages 6 & 14 - had birthday parties here. We really enjoyed bowling. The bowling computer allows you to take 3 photos - good, bad, and funny. Then, your face is added on different animations. This was a pleasant surprise. My 14 year old liked the laser tag most during his party. I suggest you schedule online and tell your guest that it is important to be on time. The time slots are long, but you dont wait any of the children not to have a photo. In addition, the crew would break out into line dances. The crew was willing to teach and show their special dance moves. We have been back 3 times since my childrens birthday.

It was nice and clean. I went for a birthday party with my kids. They have private rooms for parties . Most importantly they have a bar with a decent beer selection. The service at the bar was very slow. They have a pizza shop, bowling alley, arcade games, laser tag and a sky gym where the kids can harness up and walk above the gaming room with a zip line. Have to use cards for the games which are way over priced. $1.50 for a arcade game? Really. I know they give out prizes for the kids if they play certain games with tickets. But the other arcade games dont and charge from $1.80 to $1.50 Its a rip-off. The bowling alley was nice.

So much fun! Yea I went on a saturday night and it was very busy but we were always able to find something to do. The gravity ropes course was cool. My only issue I had was at the gravity ropes course, a couple of the employees just came of rude. Slightly challenging especially if you looked down. Variety of different arcade games and food. Food was good. Service there was great they checked on our group and made sure we doing okay. Laser tag is phenomenal. Being from Utah i wished we had a set up like that. It looks great. Highly recommend for any age.

Arcade, bowling, laser tag, sky course, billiards, pizza shop, restaurant all rolled into one. Can spend many hours (read: dollars) here. Well-kept and clean, but it is technically pretty new. Well see how it ages (c.f. C.E.C).

I attended the Main Event in Newark, Delaware for an engagement party. The staff was hospitable and accommodating and prepared a full course meal for us. I really enjoyed the food, but most of all the desserts were just so delicious and tasty. After having our meal, we had the opportunity to play a wide variety of arcade games, which everyone appreciated. So, if you are looking for a venue for your next office or family social event this is the place to be. Kudos to the staff at the Main Event!

The place is beautiful and I had a lot of fun. Biggest downfall seems to be the restaurant/bar. We were there for quite an extended period of time (over 20 min) before even being acknowledged, then would wait extended time for anything in between. Need a refill? 15 min. Need a condiment? About the same. Everyone avoids eye contact to make sure you dont say anything to them. The lady we eventually got was pretty friendly when we did get to see her. We got.there before 11 but by the time we stood to pay for laser tag, played one session then was able to actually finish our meal at the bar, it was well after 12. Either go early or avoid the place on weekends. Food was good, place was fun but eat beforehand if you can. I had a card with 30 minutes Freeplay as well but was not able to finish due to time left before close.

So I love this place because my kids love it. But some tips to survive with little ones...mentally prepare for chaos, pack light, don’t a purse, if you have to have a bag of some sort, make it a book bag..and again pack light...I’m talking one diaper, 5 wipes . There’s a lot going on and it’s dark in there so it makes moving around with little ones a bit more challenging. Just prep for it and you’ll have a great time. I also hosted a bday party here and that was wonderful. Our party host was awesome and all the kids had a great time. You don’t feel rushed through the events at all!

Always love coming here. All the fun things you can do here make it a worthwhile trip every time. The laser tag is a blast, didnt get a chance to go bowling but I did get to do the zip line obstacle course and the arcade.Staff is friendly and food was great. If you come here for food and fun, they have an amazing deal that gives you an entree and 30 dollars worth of arcade money for 32 dollars.Atmosphere is very relaxed but can be fast paced if youd like it to be. One minute enjoying pool and beer at the bar, the next minute shooting aliens and my friends at the arcade or laser tag area.Overall: highly recommended for any ages or parties.

This place is really nice! Everything was clean and modern. The bowling alley is really sleek and we had tons of fun. The food was delivered to us at our lane and it was delicious! There was so much to do, we couldnt even do it all, but we definitely would love to go back for a youth activity some time! I highly recommend The Main Event!

This place is great. Bowling, ropes course, laser tag, arcade and billiards, theres something for everyone! Weekends get busy with birthday parties and other events. For $20 you can play all day, everything but the arcade games. Arcade games are on the expensive side, Id probably put them over Dave and Busters. Great for both adults and kids. Check the schedule for weekday deals.

One of the best birthday parties I’ve had for my children. Our host, Trinity and her manager Jamie were awesome! They were very attentive and made sure we had everything needed for our party. We literally only had to show up with a cake! I will definitely have more events there.

Its recommended to purchase an Unlimited Pass to enjoy all the games and billiards without any hassle. After 9 PM, only adults with valid ID are permitted inside this immense entertainment complex or an adult who is 21 or older who is a parent or guardian of the minor can come together.I believe many people will be dazzled and amazed by this clean and new place to have fun for hours. Delaware needed a Main Event! Bravo!

The place is great! Great food, good amount of games, bowling, laser tag and a gravity line! Come on a Monday if you want to play almost every game for as long as you want for $10.95. However, its $18.95 if you want unlimited games and bowling, but its still lots of fun either way!

Great service, great team, had an awe6time with the family

I arrived at 9 pm on a Saturday to take advantage of the $20 pass that allowed laser tag, bowling, etc and they ran out of wristbands to hand out. I would recommend getting here early. Other than that it was an enjoyable time.

The food staff were phenomenal, I mean absolutely amazing! However that was the only good thing and the only reason I gave a two star instead of a one star rating. We went on a Monday night and bought the unlimited arcade cards. We were told that they only worked on games with rainbow colors and that they wouldnt receive points/tickets. Over and over again the cards would say no banked play allowed. I had to stand in line at the front desk multiple times to tell a different person each time the same thing and they would just reply you can only use them on games with rainbow colors and they dont earn points which I tried to explain to EVERY person I talked to that I KNEW that and we were ONLY using the rainbow games, yet still getting the no banked play message. They would then just take the card, try it on a nearby game where it would work, hand it back, and walk away. They wouldnt listen to what I was saying at all and I was super frustrated having to waste so much time standing in line trying to fix a problem that could have been fixed the first one or two times I brought it up if they had just listened to me. I paid for unlimited playtime yet spent most of my time trying to get an issue fixed that was never fixed. I get it was busy and loud, but that does not excuse the poor customer service. For this reason we will not be back and I do not recommend Main Event Newark to anyone else.

Great fun place for kids

We had a surprise retirement party for my wife here, and she loved it. The party buffet was very good, especially the ribs! We were well taken care of by the staff. Great evening!

This is a nicely built entertainment center. Although it features not only arcade games but also bowling, laser tag, Billiards, and more, Im not sure it is a very good value. There is a lot to do but only if you plan on spending a nice bit of money. The a games are a little high for comparable places in the area. The food is pretty good though considering the venue. We attended for a birthday party and I thought it was great they had other food options besides pizza. The party attendant was great with the kids but did not keep the parents updated on the activities as the kids were about to do them. All things considering, it is a really nice place to relax and have some fun but make sure you have some wiggle room in the budget.

Bowling with drinks specials....love it

I went there for my birthday, and it was a great time. One of the best features is the ability to reserve bowling lanes in advance and I would recommend doing the same thing because it tends to get busy on weekends. You pay per hour not per game which I like a lot. They have bar with pool tables and other games. Rope obstacle course looks intense but havent tried it yet. It is located right above all other arcade games. My main reason for visit is laser tagging, if you havent tried it... you should!The only down side is the food options. I am vegan and the only thing I can order is french fries, pretzels and humus with veggies. However it was really good and I always pay attention to the taste of water and their water is filtered and taste good. Food service was great and got refiles before I was done with my drinks and everything just went really well.I will be going there more often and recommend everyone to visit it.

Its so much to do the food was delicious,the service was great we were there for 4 hours having fun..but theres always a but. We had been drinking at the bar, and some was getting a little wasted so we asked the barmaid if we could get some water and she looked at us and said NO with an attitude and said I dont serve Free drinks, so we thought she was joking but she walked away, so there was another bartender and he said most certainly I will give you water, so we could sober up some what, but thanks to him we felt more refreshed any everybody made it home safe and sound.to Kyle...if it wasnt for that I would give 5 ..

Great place for fun. Kids had a great time. Lots to do.The food, bar and waitress help are absolutely lacking any experience. 12 people in the kitchen not doing much and no one on the floor to help you...dont expect your table to be cleared, silberware without asking a fee times or your drinks to be refilled.
