We had a blast! Music was great, its a safe and fun place. My only issue was that it was soo hot in there. Please turn the AC or use the big fan that was unplugged! We ended up leaving early because of how hot me and my friend were especially while wearing the masks.

Came for the first time and had a blast!!!! Ive been trying to find a good skating rink and I think we found it!!!! Let me break it down really quick.... the music was current, enjoyable, dance-worthy, the rink is a big but can get a bit congested (but thats why they have sessions), make sure you bring quarters if you need to lock up your belongings.... note; wish they had more food options but other than that I was super happy, i will be returning

I like this place because its for kids and adults to have fun together. The security in this place is safe. The only downside is the bathrooms. Not clean and this is not healthy and safe.

Love love love this place! Amazing music and brings back an old school flair to a sport that is hard to find in the Northeast. The staff is super friendly and the only complaint I have about this place is that so many of the skaters are advanced that they almost knock intermediate and beginner skaters down. The pizza isn’t half bad and it’s super roomy. I often travel from Queens NY all the way to Newark to visit this place. Such an amazing time, especially on adult nights.

A friend and I decided to go skating and looked up roller skating. Branch Brook came up with great reviews but, it was an hour away in Newark NJ. We were skeptical but, decided to take the drive. We are older ( in our 50s ). We arrived a little early on a Saturday evening 7 pm session. A crowd was forming already outside. They hard people already organizing the line. We get in and the facility was very clean and the staff extremely nice. I had skates and we had to get a pair for my friend. What a great time we had. It was a nice crowd but, not too many people. I am not sure if they limited the number of people. Music was on point for skating. People looked like the were really enjoying themselves a lot. I huge Birthday party was going on in another section. I will definitely be going back.

The event price was good. I love that they have events with meals included. The music was good. They dont do any of the typical roller rink games (hokey-pokey, dice/number game, racing), change directions, or couple skating so it was kind of boring after a while.

Oct 8 th ...The DJ music was Bad, anytime people are sitting around, the music aint great, I would never come back on Thursday again .Water fountain taped up$3.00 bottles of soda in the machine ..for all that money I spent traveling from NYC, wasnt worth it

I didnt like this rink too much. I went on a Saturday night Theres only one rink, so the kiddies and adults skate together....just a BAD idea! At intervals, the DJ alternates and advises the adults/kids to vacate the rink floor so that group can skate. If its not your group, you have to stand on the sidelines for 15-20 minutes, and wait for the DJ to alternate. Very weird.There was only 1 attendant giving out the skates. Ridiculous for a Saturday night. Needless to say, the line for skates was unbelievable! They ran out of my size skates. Staff is very young, so customer service is non-existent. I will not be returning.

First time here with my family and it was great no problems at all. Had a great time. The music was wayyyy to loud but other then that it was good.

Roller-skating here can be like playing a game and trying to avoid bashing into a little kid running rampant on those, rather big, white training-wheel devices. Im no pro skater myself, beginner actually, but this wouldnt be a problem if the staff kept doing their job correctly. I remember, years back, the staff would direct little kids going into the right - FORWARD - direction around the skating rink. This helped eliminate collision some, especially in a place there are hundreds of people. Kids can be going into the opposite direction, nearly crashing into someone else, and the staff will only help them out if they fall down. Well why not attempt to CIRCUMVENT the amount of collisions, by guiding each kid to skate in a way which is considerate of others. My problem, if it was not obvious, is with the staff- definitely not the little kiddies themselves. Additionally, the music is horrible. Try playing some variety.

You have to pay like seven dollars for those white things that help you learn how to roller skate it should be like $2

I was there on Saturday, and what an experience. It was my first time roller skating it was so much fun! The staff was friendly and helpful. The DJ was really good too. I was a little skeptical about the skates since they look old, but they performed well. There’s lockers where you can put your stuff for .50c and, two police officers by the door just to be safe. So overall, the environment is chill, and family oriented.

This rink will never be bought out or destroyed because it is funded by the city. With that being said, the place is being ran on a shoe string budget. Aside from that, thank goodness skaters have a place to go to being that the other rinks have been closed down. I go to have a good time, get some exercise and go home.

We are from out of town and celebrated our sons 6th birthday at this roller skating rink. Its a bit pricey in my opinion. The admission and skate rental was $14. for kids, non-skating parents were $2., the little gate skate helpers were an additional $7, to rent. The music and atmosphere was good. The food and drinks were delicious, and well priced. Except the cotton candy, it was stale with crunchy crystals along the bottom.

My kids had fun!!they just wished they had more games to play.

Love this spot. Went for my sons 5th bday and he enjoyed himself along with his friends. Affordable entrance rates although you have to pay $7 if u want the skating helping rack for your kids. Because if you arent alert, kids will leave them unattended and others will grab it. Now u have to rent another one for $7 each

Visited from out of town. Inexpensive activity for the kids. Music was good.Cons: The young lady working the ticket window the night of 1/12/2019 at 8pm had a really bad attitude and should not be in customer service. The tokens ran out in the machine so the games were limited. I wanted to purchase $20 worth of tokens but only $6 was available at the prize register.

The kitchen area REALLY NEEDS TO IMPROVE WITH SERVICE. One person Taking orders and money and serveing food. So what are the other people doing back there. I did see some servicing the party table, but there were people just standing back there. The women bath need bleach and zapp. It just smells like a big butt!!! The music was bumping and people were having a good time.

We loved skating there. The pizza was actually very delicious with drink special. The music was good at times. Old school my favorite mixed with the new. The crowd was pleasant and respectful at the 3 to 6 pm time slot. I felt safe and good customer service. I definitely will return again very soon.

I wish there was a zero rating to give this place.Saddens me to think of all the times Ive sent my kids here and to know that Aug 10th one of my twin boys fell there while skating, dislocated his hip, had to do emergency surgery and all that and not even once has the management team even reached out to me to hear the outcome. Very sad! People have become so heartless!I thank God he is still alive and well! He will heal completely!

Oh, I love it. Just wanted to see how was the atmosphere, before taking my daughter, its a really nice place to be with the kids and burn some calories. I read before that you cant bring your own skate, but I asked and they told me that its ok to bring your wheels. I like in-line skates. I would recommend this place to everyone

Cant skate to save my life but its a nice spot to take your kids. Mondays are family fun night take advantage of there prices. Do eat at home first the food is expensive

Wife and I tried it out today. It felt like a all children skate. Session was suppose to end at 6 but we had to clear the floor at 5:35 to allow the birthday guest to take up the entire rink. The DJ played two songs for the birthday boy. After the songs ended it was ten mins left and everyone was directed to leave. If I pay for a full session that ends at 6, I expect to get what I pay for. Word of advice for the DJ play songs that are a little more modern. All of that techno and 1950 jazz wasnt cutting it!!! Let me add the food was cold and the fries added a extra 25 mins of waiting time.

Confortable, nice rink very under staff I had to wait an hour for chicken strips and the place almost empty. I can see every employee there was sooooo feedup and unmotivated. Even do the facility is amazing I don’t feel motivated to come back. Rather keep looking for a place people isn’t so unhappy.

My niece, boyfriend, and I had a great time here. We attended the All the Pizza you can eat night and really had a blast! The pizza was good, brought me back to my childhood. Lots of positivity and fun! Workers were helpful - didnt have any negative experiences with them. They were enjoying themselves despite them actually being at work. There were always nice people their to assist my niece whenever she fell (when I wasnt falling myself). I wish that the adult sized skates supported your ankle more. (This just means Ill purchase my own skates!) The bathrooms are disgusting! Have your kids go before leaving home and you should have a great time! Newarks hidden gem!

The staff is friendly and the rink was newly renovated.

Located inside Branch Brook Park. Follow the road until you see the cars parked on either side of the street. Parking lot in front of rink is smallish but ample spaces as I stated inside park road(s). Upbeat, lively, house music set on Sunday nights. Crowd is great. Lots to see!

Too many unsupervised young adults running around the place and knocking into everyone on the floor to have an enjoyable skate.

The skating part everything was wonderful. But when I went to order food which was a #9 the young girl tried to give me pizza that was sitting in there for over 40 mins after I waited for a lil over 30 mins for fresh food that I requested then was very disrespectful to me I wont NEVER buy any food from there and the fact that the pizza sat in the for over 40 mins and she was trying to sell it board of health should be there

The rollar rink is fine, but the customer service is awful. An arcade machine i was playing on broke down and every staff member told me to ask someone else. Would not reccomoned for anyone looking for a good birthday party place.

I visited the Sunday night 9pm to 1 am session. It was Amazing. Good Music. Hip hop with a mic of old classics from James Brown to Envogue. I also heard House and mellow techno. They have a nice mix of ages. Young and middle age people. Beautiful women and just a great energy. There is a familial feeling about this place. I love it there.

One of the last urban roller rinks in the Northeast and it doesnt disappoint. The carpet glows in the dark, the rink is wood and 90s hip hop is on the soundtrack. Really fun and, if you grew up in the 80s, a blast of nostalgia. Only complaint? The skates are only in mens sizes.

Fun place. Music can be inappropriate for kids at times. Look into the cheaper nights Monday night and Wednesday night? Make it like 6-7$ per person if you also need to rent skates. Some of the people there can really dance.Lockers are 50 cents quarters only. If you unlock it you need to pay to use it again so leave everything at once.You cant skate with bags on your person.I went on a slower day and they gave you wrist guards. Totally worth it if you dont know how to skate.Junk food available on site.

Its a typical rink, floors parents clean gum pieces of food, skates arent in great shape and should separate ages more took my 10 year old Saturday and out of 100 ppl at least 70 were kids under 5 using the Walker and not going in circle just all over the place they fall the walkers go flying, dangerous. Drinks were almost $4 for child size. Dont recommend
