One of my favorite beaches in New Smyrna! You can drive on the beach or park in the parking lot. The water is absolutely beautiful! If you want a break from the sun there ate plenty of restaurants to have something to eat and drink. If you want to do some shopping there are many gift shops to look around in. There are also surf shops and clothing stores. There is something for everyone.
This would be a near perfect beachfront park absolutely deserving of 5 stars, were it not for the cost of parking, which is $20 per day. Literally. That may not be a lot where youre from, but in my experience... its outrageous. In my opinion, $20 for a parking spot should be considered illegal price gouging.Theres no telling how many families have been prevented from visiting an otherwise very nice, exceptionally clean stretch of Atlantic Ocean beach, because the local authority thinks its a good idea to charge the very limit of what the market will bare for a parking spot. Its as if beachfront parking is something which absolutely must be not only commoditized, but also used as a barrier to control the type of individuals who access the beach from this location.
I always enjoy the Flagler Ave Park because it has the vehicle ramp and a nice amount of parking if the ramp is closed. There are also bathrooms, showers, restaurants, snack shops and stores. Very convenient, however, it can get busy.
Not super sure what exactly I am reviewing here but we spent the day at the beach and in the area, so Maps gave me this review notification. We enjoyed our time here. The beach was fairly busy but clean and pretty well distanced between groups. Life guards seemed very much on top of everything. Restrooms near where we were, were as clean as you would probably expect (meaning: just go in expecting a murder scene and you may be pleasently surprised).
What a great place to park and not have to worry about finding a spot on the beach.. This area is blocked off from cars parking on the beach which is great. The price to park is the same and on the beach though.
Get there early if you want to park your vehicle on the beach. $20 Dollars to do that.Sand is really soft- feels good.. Gorgeous view all together
Easy in and out in morning! Clean restrooms! Beautiful views.....
NSB is always a charming beach town. plenty of space for parking, plenty of room to socially distance while at the beach. beautiful water, but mindful that the nurse sharks will come into shallow water!
Good. I love this beach. My only complaint is that on a Thursday they charge $20 for parking until 5pm... What if i only want to stay for 2 hours? Its an outrage. Complete bs...
I love Flagler Beach and all around the area, it is always so clean anywhere in New Smyrna Beach and the town is well kept at all times! I take pride in being a NSB local because its such an amazing area, definitely one of my favorite towns in the entire country! I travel all the time and I will say NSB is similar to Ocean Beach in Cali. Same small town vibe, beautiful people, great local businesses & restaurants. The Beachfront is beautiful with 5 bathrooms on each side for male and female and they are always very clean! There are also 3 showers on both east and west walls, 3 more showers right before the 5 steps that take you to the beach and Atlantic Ocean! Lifeguard is on duty from 8am to 7pm, you may drive & Park on the beach for $20 day pass and they offer yearly/annual passes. My combo pass gets me in all county parks/Beach, Volusia County parking on Flagler Beach entrance ONLY for the entire yr for residents cost me $55 one time charge. I recommend everyone in the area to go check out NSB at Flagler Beach entrance, youll definitely enjoy yourself!
One of my favorite places. Beach sun and friends. Flagler ave is awesome. Great food and bars
Expensive parking, 20. Day even if an hour. Handicapped is free however. Beach access and dive on beach.Near by eats :)
Quiet, beautiful & clean. Great for a full day with friends and family.
Other than paying to park its great. I grew up down the street from there and when I go back to visit now it just doesnt seem right to have to pay!
Always a great place love to walk the beach. If you park in the pay parking make sure you pay for the parking. Even if the enforcement officer says not to worry about it.
Went down to see the rough surf for the storm. Im on oxygen at this point of my life so its hard to get out of my vehicle...but there was a parking spot right up front. It was beautiful...I love New Smyrna Beach!
It was gorgeous and very very clean. I would visit again and again
The lifeguard tower is there and restrooms and plenty of showers and it is waking distance to the Breakers which is awesome BEST burgers in town.
Love it very clean i take my kids there at night on the beach and go crab hunting with flash lights very fun and theres plenty of good restaurants to eat at a+ place to go
Its right on the ocean.... At the end of Flagler Street where there are restaurants and shops.....the park has a good parking area and restrooms
Used to a great place to go watch the sunrise and surf. Being taken over by homeless now.
Went on a good day, wasnt too crowded and very clean
Amazingly beautiful! Perfect location for dates, to check around, for the scene or to escape!
Good foodGreat serviceHot singer
20 bux for parking is outrageous. I was given 3 hours to park.
Just had a great time on the beach....
Always love to enter the beach here.
It was so nice to get out.
Beautiful beach, warm clean water!!! I had a wonderful afternoon!!! I wish I could have spent more time on the beach...next time!!!!!
Beach was clean, water was wonderful, people were excellent and restaurants were awesome.
Awesome white sand no rocky shore line. You can drive on the beach at low tide. Im not a big fan of the driving thing as it seems like a big safety risk for young children. Parking availability is horrible. Drove around for literally 2 hours looking for a legal parking spot before finally opting for a tow away zone. The beach is awesome the parking is horrible bottom line.
Got my free parking pass and spent the day on the beach.
Its a cool place to watch the ocean.
Sandy sand, very wet water, Poseidon was salty, sea gulls wouldnt cooperate with catching
Its a Florida beach this ones kept pretty clean though no complaints lots of tourists though for my fellow Floridians
The Sand is super soft and clean, This beach is absolutely beautiful.
Great place to see the beach.
Whats not to love about sand, sea, air, and nature saying hello.
Was great! Going to go back!
Lovely beach, great place to have a picnic and spend all day! Park on the sand or close by for $20 per day.
One of the best places in the world to me.
Nice, hot. You have to pay to park or you get a $30 fine. Access to the beach, restrooms, Flagler Avenue restaurants and shopping.
Free parking if you are a Volusia county resident. Go on internet to New Smyrna Beach parking pass and apply.
Nice little park to fish
Beautiful beach!
Our hometown beachfront. We’ve traveled all over the Florida coasts and have found none better than right here.
Easy times together in NSB
Excellent beach and people
Such a relaxing spot
Clean nice beautiful place to visit
Expensive parking and I swear drug deals go on at night. Not a fan of driving on the beach though. Thats not cool. Lets stop trying to dominate every shall we? Great juice stop nearby!
The beach was nice. But $20 to park for an hour is a joke.
$20 to park for the day but great location with the option to go drive along the beach instead. The Breakers bar is nearby and food tastes great.
Crowded but the sand is beautiful and the water blue!
I love this place
Parking seems always challenging.
Love this place, we visit often.
A beautiful Beach! Very nice send!
Nice beachfront promenade with shops, restaurants, and fun for the family.
Loved our meal! Best place ever.
Love it. Its very organized and quiet. Enough security to feel safe.
Everything is so fresh
Love this place, if you can get a parking spot
Lots of good sunshine and waves
One of my favorite spots in the world. Lots of great nearby restaurants. Clean beach. Restrooms & showers.
Always clean, always find parking, and always friendly and we enjoy walking the beach and walking up to the shoppes
Some stand on the shore. They let the waves come and go by. Back and forth in love they seek, not the standing, but the rythmic in an out. Love comes, Love goes. Love is here to get wet. Love is gone away for a bigger wave Vaclav
Have been coming to the park every day for 8 years for sunrise
It was great
Thoroughly enjoyed my day on the beach here. There is no shelf drop off in the water. This makes it a good place for smaller children to get in the water. There are several restaurants and shops just off the beach. Restrooms are very large to allow room to change. There are several showers for rinsing off. Cars are allowed on the beach and there is a driving lane between where most people set up and the water. This requires you to be very attentive when walking to the water and back to your towel. I would definitely go back. I would like to take the time to explore the area just off the beach.
Great place for a walk
Absolutely beautiful. You need to see it for yourself. Excellent food and shops and you can drive on the beach for 20 dollars a day or by an annual pass and go all the time! Beach, sun and fun!
Great day
This is a great beach. At high tide, not much beach available, but any other time its great.
Loved it ..
Nice and relaxing
Its nice here
Always good!
Wonderful beach and shopping!
Great beach ...
Very nice access to local shops and eating establishments to suit everyones taste. Great beach access with ability to park on the beach for a fee. Best time to get good parking before noon.
What a great beach
Beach walk...no breeze but nice...quite crowded and no masks,!
Just discovered New Smyrna Beach. Awesome beach town! Great vibe.
Lots of benches, restrooms, and medium size parking lot with a fee to park. If you have handicap placard or plates parking is free.
Nice relaxing place
Love this spot, but it can be crowded especially on weekends....Lots of foot traffic up and down Flagler Avenue, and the Breakers seems to be a hot spot for food and drink..... !
