Nice little park, lots of grass, kids play areas and beach with swimming area. . .beautiful sunsets. Hadnt been since prior to the fire. . .no sign of any damage these days.

Beautiful park and lake to enjoy sectioned off swimming and an open lake for boating and fishing. Alligators are in this lake as they are in most fresh bodies of water here in Florida. Not to worry tho, they stay away from the swimming and boat launch areas. Playground for the kids with some really neat equipment. Shallow beach, ideal for the small children. Ample boat and trailer parking. Several picnic tables with a couple of pavilions. Fishing areas from shore available. Well maintained by the parks department. Beautiful in every direction you look.

Its a little out of the way down narrow and twisting roads made smaller by the residents living all along it as they walk and bike along the sides without sidewalks. But what you find there is a small but well cared for park with a deep blue lake. Theres a couple shelters, a Sandy Beach, and modern playground equipment. It is certainly a pretty little place I would visit often, if only it were somehow easier to get to.

Cute park for family and it also has a boating launch, so you can take your boat on the lake.

Play and exercise equipment is top notch and up to date. Small beach is clean and the water is clear near the shore, even in the current rainy weather. Boat ramp is not too steep and well maintained.

It’s a beautiful park on a nice lake, but there should be increased visits by park staff to help keep the shenanigans to a minimum.

County desperately needs to spray for ANTS!! They should of thought of exhaust in the bathrooms, or atleast air ventilation!!Otherwise playground was nice, pavilions were plentiful, swimming was nice!!

It was nice. When I got the boat back home there was an alligator resting on a log. No more swimming in the lake behind my house.

I like the place but the fishing spot is horrible way too much grass and Lily pads only good for bass fishing the jetskiers like to run over my line the people there are rude but its a nice swimming place

If youre planning on heading to this park, make sure you know the route before heading there. I think there were two signs referencing the park and neither were very descriptive. I stopped by there today during lunch to check it out and to escape from the office for a bit. Its nestled back in a residential area and was pretty quiet.There is a $2 parking fee with the pay box at the park entrance. The parking lot is a decent size and I think its hidden well enough that parking shouldnt really be an issue. When you pull into the park you can either turn right to go to the parking lot or, if you have a boat, you can go straight to the boat ramp. Theres also a floating dock/pier there to tie off while you park your trailer.The park itself is on the small side. Lots of Cyprus trees so Im guessing this area gets pretty wet during a good rain. The grounds appeared to be very clean which was a plus. The playground equipment is a little dated but in fair shape. There are two large covered pavilions with charcoal grills. They looked to be in decent shape. The grills definitely look used so you might want to bring some heavy duty foil if youre planning on using them. To the left side of the park theres a bathroom as well with a few toilets. I cant speak for the womens side but the mens bathroom was pretty clean for a public park.The park borders the lake and theres a small beach with a roped off swimming area. With alligators being pretty prevalent in this area, I doubt I would put a toe in but there were people swimming. I also saw some people fishing just outside the swimming area.Overall it isnt a bad little lunch spot. It needs some work to really shine though so Im not sure its worth $2 access it. I might be back again if I need to get out of the office for a breather.

Moon lake park is a nice neighborhood park with a water ski lake. The kids had a blast at the beach.

The park was surprisingly relaxing and tranquil. It would be a perfect place for a family picnic/BBQ

I went there to go fishing and was unable to fish from the dock due to some local kids swimming, jumping off the dock, yelling and cussing at us and call us names. Will never go back again

Kids loved it! Plenty of parking. New play set! Lots of space to run and a decent freshwater beach. Well kept park! I hear it sometimes has water quality issues but everyone says they post signs and warnings quickly!

The park is nice but the lake doesnt have the fishing that people claim it does. it seems like it has been overfished pretty heavily. They probably should put a fishing restriction on the lake to let the fish population come back.

Nice place nestled back in the depths a shady neighborhood, everyone is super cordial. Theres restrooms, pavilions, a boat dock that is usually open unless the water is high. They also have a beach area and grills, followed by a well sized playground.

Actually a nice spot if you are not wanting to drive to Clearwater etcNot many spaces for trailers so get there early if you are launching a boat or jet ski. Not a big beach also so that may fill up quickly as well.There is one pavilion and a small playground also

So peaceful. Great place to swim. Or play with your kids. Take the jet ski or boat out. Or just sit on the beach and relax. Plus you can grill there too. I love it. I also love the book exchange they have. Its amazing.

Nice little spot away from it all. Free parking. Small little beach area and picnic tables scattered throughout. Water runs dark so unfortunately you cant see the surface. Seaweed is rampant particularly after going waist deep. No pets allowed. There is a neat tree you can climb as well. Enjoy!

Not a bad Park once you get through the parking lot a lot of kids teenager young adults hanging out there and I just didnt feel safe getting out of the car with my kids

An amazing park. Beautiful scenery. The little one I babysit had his 3rd Birthday Party here, he Loved it we all had an amazing time, they have a nice kid friendly play ground. I would so come pack here anytime. This place is so fun to be at they have a u closed off area to swim in and they have a dock for boats, you can go fishing in this lake as long as your not in the area that is closed off for the swimmers. I kind if want to go back. They have pavilions and a bathroom building. They also have grills you can cook on. Just a nice place all around.

My family and I love this place! We live right down the road and my kids enjoy the playground, playing in the sand, the shade from all the beautiful trees and meeting people in our area. It is clean, bathrooms are clean, Park is clean, and it’s wonderful overall!

Moon Lake Park is a little county park right around the corner from me. Has a boat ramp, two covered picnic areas, and bathrooms with outdoor showering theres small playground for the children also along with a very small Beach. Its quiet, its quaint, and its free. I love it here.

Park was very clean and the newer aluminum boat dock right next to the boat launch is high quality. The only real issue i have is the swimming area is small and there is sawgrass or some other type of plant life growing throughout over half the swim area. The park has a few covered pavilions with multiple picnic tables. Also you have to pay to park . Overall it is a nice place to have small get togethers and kids birthday parties.
