I first went to Capt John last year before I got deployed and I have to say he is the best guide I have had in my short 33 years of existence! He put me on a mess of fish then so he was my first and ONLY choice of guide when I got back and wanted to fulfill my fishing addiction! I caugjt my first Flounder and my dad landed a MASSIVE Red for his birthday. I look forward to my next trip out with Capt John! You wont be disappointed!!

5 stars for Capt John. I booked a trip with Capt John on March 18,2019 and I am glad I did. I was visiting the Tampa area from NY and I was itching to test the waters of the big bay. I found Rivers to Bay online, and I was impressed with Capt John’s experience and his boat (Triton Bay Boat). He took me out on very short notice for a 5 hour charter. His knowledge of the Bay was excellent, which mattered very much on our trip because the temperature had dropped and the wind was stiff from the north. Capt John knew spots that not only held fish but kept us out of the wind. His boat handled the rough bay waters with ease. The bite was slow in the morning, but he assured me that it would pick up after the tide turned and we would not go back in until it did — and that’s just what happened. We landed approximately 20 slot sized snook, and didn’t land plenty more — great action. Capt John worked hard and gave me more than I paid for. I highly recommend Rivers to Bay.Matt

I fished with captain John and from initial call I had with him I was very comfortable and confident of having a good trip. He is very knowledgeable of the fish and the area. He selected the best tide and time for my trip. The day of the trip we met at the ramp and the day was on. Our first stop got me 10 Snook. It would have been more but I missed a few hooksets. John not only put me on fish but taught me the correct way to hook these fish in the mangroves. I am an avid open water fisherman on the coat of NJ and this was new to me. All told told we hooked up with over 20 fish and Landed 17. The captain went out of his way to make this a great trip and best thing about the trip other then the Fish I now have a new friend and will be fishing with him when I come back down in May. His boat and equipment are top of the line and I recommend Rivers to Bay Charters to anyone.

Had an absolute blast fishing with Capt. John. We booked him for a fishing tournament and caught beautiful snook all day long, including a 30+ inch prize winner - it earned us a $150 package of fishing gear! John knew his stuff, and was great to hang out with on the water. Our group’s previous fishing experience ranged from veteran anglers to complete rookies, and we all caught several fish during our session. If you’re fishing in Tampa Bay, I highly recommend John. You’ll catch a lot of fish, catch big fish, and have fun doing it!
