I Love this park! It has the best, nicest, friendliest rangers and employees. The park is always clean and well kept. The wildlife is a photographers dream. Osprey, Red-bellied woodpecker, Mississippi Kite, Blue Jay

Cant say my experience is amazing as I am here to celebrate the life of an amazing officer! But, it is definitely I place to visit on better days. Very beautiful drive in. Nice big beach

Very clean, lots of space despite how crowded it was. Mostly just enjoyed watching the little sand pipers coming in and out with the tide. Very relaxing and very cool.

Very nice park! It was neat walking out on the pier and seeing the sharks eating the fish scraps. They didnt seem to bother the fishermen who seemed to be doing fairly well. The walking trails were nice too!It was good to see so many people out walking. Here and there were a few people glued to their phones. It is sad to see people addicted to their phones and/or afraid to go outside.

Nice quiet place without a fee to walk out and take a look. The giant chair for pics is an added bonus

This review was supposed to go to the state park. Somehow it posted wrong. The pier was closed while we were there for repairs, but you could still go under, which I recommend for some beautiful pictures. We stayed at the campsite for my daughters birthday. On the plus side:. So close to the beach, with plenty of trails so you can walk right over. The staff in the gift shop are so sweet and helpful. The campground is beautiful and clean. So are the bathrooms which is a definite plus. Its a great site to get away for a weekend. On the con side, the campsites are tiny and really close together. Our neighbor coughed and it sounded like he was in our tent. The roads are one way, so if its dark and you miss your turn, you have to circle the campground and try again (ask my husband how we know that). The pier was closed for repairs while we were there but that didnt detract from our trip. It makes sense to do repairs in the off season, just a warning to others. All in all, we will come back. Small sites dont bother me too much when were only doing a weekend.

One of my favorite gift shops in all of Myrtle Beach. Wish they didnt charge per person to get in the park now though. Makes it hard to convince myself its worth going to.

We love the MB State Park. Good pier fishing and room on the beach. Parking fills up fast though. We had passed before it was cool, so it kind of sucks having to get there so early to park now

A pier with a great view of the beaches and ocean, of course. As an out of state tourist I appreciate the level of functionality that SC provides their parks.

Great place to spend the day at the beach. We purchased an annual pass. We enjoy less crowded beaches and the pier.

Love Myrtle Beach state park! Not very crowded and restrooms were super clean. WiFi wasnt working at the gift shop which is important when you have a child doing remote learning

The pier was great. It had a lot of pictures that the kids loved to read and learn about different fish. It was also free to walk out on to (but u have to pay to enter the park so...)

Amazing pet friendly state park. Small entrance fee but worth it for the views, beaches and trails. Public restrooms are clean and well maintained. Gift shop has cute items and sundries. Dogs are allowed on beach which makes my dog very happy! Horseback riding is allowed on the beach off season. Lots of parking.

Nice place to access the beach and walk in the forest. There are lots of parking all over the park. Picnic shelters abound in the park as does picnic tables. It was a great place to picnic. There are some trails for walking which are geared to the easy end of the difficulty scale. There are some areas to look around and view different areas of nature. The park does have barrier free (handicapped) accesses to the beach. This is a unique offering and is nice to see. There are washrooms around the park but mostly near the waterfront. There are some cabins available for rent in the park. This would be a great experience. The fee to this park allows you access to Huntington State Park.

Nice quiet beach. You do have to pay to get into the park but itll be worth it to get away from the crowds at the public beach. You do have to pay a separate fee for the fishing pier.

Lots of fun. My mother in law camped out for the weekend. So we joined her for a day. We enjoyed the beach. There is hot water in the bath house showers which is amazing after being out on the beach all day with kids.

Nice hiking trails, about 3 that are 1/2 mile each. Several covered pavilions. Nice ocean pier. Good bird watching.

The piers were getting repaired so they were out. The beach was beautiful and they had a really nice boardwalk along the beach that had a lot of picture worthy locations. There was a nature trail also.

Pier with great access to the ocean, many people fishing there so the smell is a bit peculiar but the view is great.

Great beach off the Grand Strand. Can still get crowded on the weekend but not as bad during the week. The pier is great for fishing or just a nice place to relax in or out of the sun.

A beautiful pier that extends from Myrtle Beach State Park into the Ocean.If you are lucky, you may even see a Shark in the waters!Lots of people fishing use this pier and as a result you are likely to see a Pelican!

Over priced, over crowed, poorly staffed and dirty. Not worth the time or e pede ov visiting. Other beautiful parks in South Carolina to visit.

Need more disability access from campground to pier. If you dont have a golf cart you are out of luck. A shuttle would be great for older campers that cant walk that far.

Excellent get away! Love the beach. To our surprise since this was our first time visiting....You can do camping and or rent a little cabin. So exciting!

The pier is currently closed for repair work. It is currently July 2019 as I write this, and Im not sure when the work is scheduled to be completed, there is no date posted outside. However, the store is still open for shopping.

My first time to visit Myrtle Beach State Park today and I was so surprised. Great access to beach, ton of parking spaces, lot of picnic tables and public restrooms. Fee required bit discount for senior citizens and kids ... cheaper than beach parking. Locals buy year pass and love the park that also has trails.

You got to come here, its great.

A little rain and wind made for a nice visit to park and pier. Nice place. I will come back here. Lots of ground and options as far as beach, or a nature walk. I think prices should be a bit lower since we all pay taxes and A state park should be anyplace everyone can afford but I am only speaking for lower earning people. Fishing off the pier requires no Fishing Licence which is great.

This was alot of fun, and by the crowds one wouldnt know we had any kind of pandemic going on

Several parking areas surrounded by native trees, picnic areas and a campground. There is a fishing pier, public restrooms and a small gift shop with cold drinks and snacks. I went twice in last week and really enjoyed the visits!

I would recommend this to anyone plenty of restrooms laundry areas and showers, the people are great.

Free and beautiful. If you want to fish you can get a license and equipment at the nice store at the pier.

We had a shelter and it was excellent. We had plenty of shade a grill picnic tables and benches water and it has lights. The ocean was right across the road and it was peaceful. We plan to come again very soon.

Was great.Watched the fishermen feed the black tipped sharks off the pier.They swim up to eat the leftover bait.

Great spot to hang and enjoy the Carolina Coast...

The pier is closed due to repairs but the state park is way beautiful and tons of stuff to do and throw parties! We went for a week straight. It does cost a few dollars to get in but if youre a visitor you can ask your plantation, resort, hotel, if they have free passes to use to get in free. Worth it if you pay or not though! We will definitely be back!

Beautiful place and very peaceful

We loved this State Park. We walked from our resort about 2 miles away and it was worth it. The view was a absolutely beautiful. We were able to get unique gifts from the gift shop and we found lots of shells in the area.

Wonderful park where you can enjoy the splendor of area. Plenty of parking. Camping is available year around and the have several walking trails. Nature center is great for kids of all ages. The pier is excellent for fishing or taking pictures of the Sandy beaches.

Great state park pier. Pier is in very good condition. It’s free u less you are fishing. It cost $2.50 per person for fishing. It has a nice gift shop, bathrooms, and sand rinse off station. They have a bike rack and a wooden pathway. It is handicap accessible. They do have wheel chair to help handicap people get on and off the beach. They also sell beach umbrellas, some food and drinks, ice cream, and iceIf my review and pictures helped you then please give me a thumbs up

Fishing was dead but saw a cannonball jelly, 5 grey shark and a stingray so that was cool! Clean park and easy accessibility-

Very clean beach and picnic area. Kind of expensive at $8 per person if you have a large group like I did but so I would suggest spending the whole day to get your moneys worth. Less crowded than the public beach.

One of the best places Ive found to stay in Myrtle Beach when you can, playground area great Beach lots of covered areas for picnics incredible Campground good and clean. The only place I will stay.

The pier is to short. Does not go out in the ocean far enough. The water is not deep enough at the far end of the pier even in high tide to catch fish long enough to eat, 12 in. Or longer. Only catch a few in spring and fall long enough to eat. If you spend a lot of days their. And I live here.

Had a wonderful time on their beach, pier, gift shop and nature trails! Well worth the reasonable fee to enter. Only wish wed had time to go to Huntington Beach State Park as well, which was included in the admission.

Camping in a tent in the tent only area. Bathhouses are clean, everyone is friendly. Camp store has wood, marshmallows and plenty of ice, plus allot more essentials.

We come here every year and sometimes twice a year. Great Campground. Not as crowded as the commercial campgrounds in the park and on the beach.

Its a fishing pier. The park charges to fish on it but non-fishermen can stroll for free.

A great place to visit, and for frequent visitors you can get an annual pass for $99.00. Theres lots of parking, the beach is nice, and theres places for picnicking and camping.

Super nice !! The bathroom and inside of the building was clean and kept clean. Masks are required to enter but not required while walking on the pier unless youre close to others.

It is a great place to walk around.

We saw sting ray off the pier, as well as jelly fish and sharks! There was a purple flag (dangerous marine life) flying that day. The pier and beach is beautiful! The water is clear blue.
