This park is close to our house, it has outdoor recreation space and a playground as well as a nice walking trail. It feels like a little getaway in the middle of the city. Weve always loved going to the park, but we hosted a birthday party in the nature center yesterday and I was blown away by the space and the staff! Its a great spot to host a small event, they have plenty of tables and chairs to use as well as a kitchen area. But the best part is the little nature museum! They have all kinds of native frogs, turtles, birds, even an opossum. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating. My grandma who is in a wheelchair was easily able to get to the nature center and the museum. Many good things to say about this place!

This place is a hidden oasis for children and adults. Lots to see and do, easily accessible if you know how to get there. A family was actually celebrating Thanksgiving there when we came. We will visit whenever were in the area.

This is a nice park set off from the main road with nature trails, a learning center, a playground, and soccer pitch. It seems like a good place to bring kids, but dogs are not allowed.

I love Hawthorn Glen. When my family lived on 30th and St. Paul. He would always take us there. Some times we would walk, ride are bikes. It is so nice there. We always roll down the hill. We walked in the woods. The boys go in on one side, then the girls on the other. We would play tag, all over that park. It is just really nice there. I wish one day, when I get married, I would love to have it there. It is a great place for the whole family. You would loved it. And you will never forget about your great times you had there.

Love this place! Playground equipment isnt so big that you have to worry about injuries. Cool walking trails and a big field which I often see soccer being played on. Ive been there quite a bit and still havent explored everything there.

Milwaukee and Tosas hidden gem! Running here is a little taste of the Ice Age Trail in the city. Wild flowers and the occasional owl or turkey. No dogs please--keep it wild!
