If you grew up in the 70s and/or 80s, you will remember the Fonz, Arthur Fonzarelli, as one of the biggest TV icons of the time. A character on the TV series, based in Milwaukee, Happy Days, The Fonz wore leather jacket, white T-shirt, and blue jeans and was played by actor Henry Winkler. The statue is located on the scenic riverwalk in downtown Milwaukee. Take a walk along the river and take in the sights of downtown Milwaukee, and while you are there have picture taken with The Fonz!!!
The Fonz will always be cool. We had fun and got some nice pictures for memories.
Great little piece of Americana to visit Its life-sized, so be on the lookout for it (he is short, lol)
Heyyyy, the Fonz needs to shine up a bit but dont have them Sit on it too long
Fun and quirky if your familiar with milwaukee lore
Nice walk along the river. Lots to do.
It was Heeeeeeeyyy! Pretty Cool! Nice spot along a beautiful river walk in Downtown Milwaukee!
Great experience! Took my kids here on the way to S Dakota. This park is really nice. My cousin even got pooped on by a seagul. The statue is really nice and bears a really good likeness to Henry Winkler. Its even close to his real height! Definitely will be coming back. I love Milwaukee and Wisconsin!
Worth the find! Took our grandchildren then had them watch Happy Days
Riverwalk is nice and look I love Fonzi but this statue is just not a good looking Fonzi. Almost cartoonish. Skip the statue but take in the Riverwalk.
Very cool for us tourists
I love this statue.
Big fan of the Fonz. So I had to stop and see it.
Kind of a fun photo op if you happen to be in the area but even though its listed as a top attraction for Milwaukee its not really worth seeking out unless you happen to be in the area.
Cool statue on Milwaukees calm riverwalk
Beautiful area scenic space right on the river
Fun little moment to have in Milwaukee. The statue is shorter than expected, but it doesnt make a difference to your fun little moment.
The Fonz is a little weathered now. Much shorter than I expected too. Worth stopping by though. Hopefully, you wont get yelled at by teens picking trash out the water. That was my only negative view. Other than that the area is a nice walk.
The Fonz was a little disappointing. Hes just life size and I was expecting a large statue. The river walk however is very neat a worth visiting. Many nice looking restaurants and bars and great views of old Milwaukee architecture.
This is great way to remember the “Happy Days”. The statue is a great photo opportunity to take and pose next to.The location of the Bronze Fonz is right on the river walk, conveniently close to restaurants and pubs. It’s a perfect excuse after a dinner to go for a walk and take some pictures.
And Henry Winkler commented on my photo on Twitter.
My friends and I took a stroll on this dynamic Boardwalk... Must see if your into music, fun and social enterprising.. Best time weekends
Great view of the river, fun photo opportunity, map of all the other sculptures close by. A Milwaukee must if you enjoy photos and kitsch.
Happy days
Great memories from Milwaukee,Wisconsin very nice part of downtown.
Great thrift store
Brought back childhood memories. Loved it
Very cool
Pretty cool!
You gotta stop and see just because he’s the Fonz. It’s really great opportunity to laugh with others and take pictures for them. What a fun conversation starter!
I heard of this by researching places to see in Milwaukee since we flew here on our Chicago trip (short drive to Chicago). We got our pic taken happy to say!
The Bronze Fonz is located along the river walk. When we saw him, he was decorated for St Patricks Day. The kids thought we were strange. But then again they dont know These Happy Days are yours and mine.
A definite photo op. Easy to get to on river walk. Visit Gertie too - shes not far from the Fonz!
It is in a beautiful place, with the water in the backround.
We went in the evening and it is not well constructed... Im not an artist but I felt like they could have done a better job at this. Its right by the river walk and, I guess the best part, its free to see!
Its Fonzie. Everybody loves the Fonz! Somebody had been taking a picture every time weve walked by this week.
I love it
Its a fun piece of pop culture history. Its a statue just standing there along the river. Of course Im old enough to have immediately recognized the Fonz, and Wikipedia has a great article on the statue, to refresh those of us who grew up watching Happy Days (Im old enough to have seen some of the original series, and then watched a lot on syndication), and to explain it to those too young to know the Fonz.Milwaukee is a very comfortable city. I ran across Bronze Fonz while simply walking at lunch time (I was in town on business), then later some coworkers and I were walking after dinner and took pix with Fonz. It was good silly fun. Kudos to Mr Sawyer (the sculpter), the city, and Mr Winkler (the Fonz himself).
If you are on a local tour of all things MKE, its important to add taking a selfie or a few group pics with the Bronze Fonz! He was very willing to take tons of pictures with us! The great things is hes close to places to grab a bite or a cocktail. MKE must to check off your tourist list. Locals dig him too!
Gotta check it out if your close and loved Happy Days. Typical Fonz pose except you get to pose with him. Sure is short though. Wonder if its life size?
Pretty cool nice river walk enjoyed the nice weather and scenery
Hppy days was not shot in Milwaukee and this was a great disappointment. Fonzies statue is nothing but a single figure on the corner of the terrace, and there is literally nothing more. Not worth the money you put into the parking meter.
Nice but too small, he was a small statured person, no reason to go 2/3s scale, it just makes a fun bit of Milwaukee dissipointing.
Neat statue. Milwaukee icon. If visiting you have to get your picture with it.
Exactly what youd expect, worth every zero pennies to visit.
It was a 9 degree dusk. Drove up from Rockford, IL just to say I was in Milwaukee. Did a search, what is there to do in Milwaukee? Museums and other things came up but it was past five on a Sunday so no Pabst Mansion. What to do, what to do. I mean I dont just want to go there, step outside of the car, and get back in. So I thought...Milwaukee... Milwaukee!!! Happy Days!!! Low and behold, the Bronze Fonz. Plugged it into the Garmin and away we went. Parked a block away, walked down the hill. Got to the bridge and saw it across the street on the opposite side of the river from Rock Bottom. Stood next to it, got my picture. Its life size and boy is the Fonz tiny. I still wouldnt want to upset him because he could Carmine Ragusa my butt. So, I can say Ive been to Milwaukee.
I dont knwo fonz, but my boyfriend wanted to take a look, so we took a selfie with him in the rain, hahaha
A classic stop along the water front while in Milwaukee. Henry Winkler is frozen in Carbonite.
Very cool to visit this piece of art. I went during the evening. While the night offers a different perspective to the area, I am willing to bet that the view is even better in the daytime. I recommend stopping by the Safehouse if youre in the area
Its the Fonze! Cant beat it while walking in the pleasant and relaxing River Walk. Lots of fun little surprised along the way as well.
Fun little stop but the statue is pretty creepy at night.
Fonzie very cool attitude. Like he always says ; balls are pretty dry today !
A quick, fun and free activity on the beautiful riverwalk. Pretty great selfie opportunity.
Lol it’s a statue.. done complain ..
The Bronze Fonz gives that end of the beautiful riverwalk a fun lighthearted feeling. Its a great tourist destination and photo-op, but even as a life-long resident of Milwaukee I visit whenever Im on the Riverwalk. I love that it gives a shout-out to Happy Days set here in Milwaukee.
The whole river walk and sculptures along it are fun to look at
Easy to get to. Right on riverwalk
A little piece of quirky Americana history.
In Milwaukee. Great statue. Brings back memories of the Fonz.
Fonzy is a nice addition to the art walk along the river. Odd but Aaay, its cool.
Nice riverwalk, good restaurants along the way
OK Took a few pics. Since he got there after I moved and never went there before.
Awesome statue in a great location on the river. A historical part of Milwaukee that envokes pictures from locals and those visiting.
Every time I see the bronze Fonz it brings back memories of me and my mom when she was still alive going to the restaurant right next to it and taking pictures I love it
It is just a bronze statue of the Fonz. Kinda hidden along the riverwalk, but its great for posing with.
Quick stop along the riverfront walkway.
Unique will be the right word for it... A must visit monument for all the Happy Days fans... Its a shame that the Chinese restaurant next to it must be replaced with something more according to the Happy Days theme.
Great photo op on river walkway
Always a fantastic & quintessential Milwaukee thing to see!
Aaaaaaa, super cool! Never knew he was so short!
Something fun to see.
