An awesome fire lookout on the summit of Mt. Tam! Well worth the .3 mile hike from the parking lot. There are 360 degree views from the summit and best to visit on a clear sunny day for the best views. The fire lookout is locked so you are unable to go inside, but you are able to walk around the base.

Absolutely a hidden gem! This is the spot that tourists seek and locals hide. If youre lucky to climb up to this spot on a clear day, be ready for a spectacular sunset. If you look closely enough, you can even spot the Golden Gate bridge peeking from in between the mountains. But even without a sunset, this is a spectacular vista through and through.

Very cool place. Very quiet. The Outlook is good place to see the bay. There is a small loop trail with paved road around it. That was nice and easy too.

That is a wonderful place! Overlook of the Bay Are is awesome. There is an observation point on the short trial around the hill, but you can go up and find cute places near stones.NOTE: parking $8 cash.

Beautiful overlook of the bay area. There is a clear view of the San Fransisco city, and the top golden gate bridge is visible as well. There is also a view of Oakland. The overlook requires a short, which is a very easy hike. Most of the hike is on a boardwalk, but some of the hike requires climbing over rocks, which may be difficult for some. Nonetheless, the view is phenomenal and is definitely worth it

Park, pay the day use fee, and take the short hike up to the lookout. The second half of the walk is not flat and over big rocks, do able for almost everyone, therefore the top can get a little crowded.Views are gorgeous and a nice spot to eat some snacks or lunch.

One of the best 360 view in Marin county. On a clear day, you can see Berkeley, San Francisco, the East Bay and the Pacific Ocean as well. To get to the Lookup, you can drive to te parking lot below but hiking up from the Pantoll ranger station and back down is a much better way to enjoy it!

Worth the effort and hike for the view.
