This is a hidden gem! Lovely place nested in the middle of the Muir Woods! Theres an easy hike (0.8 miles / flat / gravel) with beautiful views to get there, the place offers board games, good beers, snacks and a nice patio! Everything is CASH ONLY, theres no ATM around. They are a private club, usually not open to public unless their calendar lists a guest day, festival, or other event specifically open to guests. Make sure you check their website or FB page before heading there.Theres a limited number of tables and benches. You might want to bring a blanket or ground cloth to spread on the deck or ground.
I believe only members can visit this place but a few times of the year they open to the public. In was able to visit on one of those times. Good beer, in the middle of the forest!!You can become a member by volunteering lots of hours from what I heard.
Amazing views and a super cool alternative. Great for a date and for families. No outside alcoholic beverages allowed but they serve beer and wine.
Super fun location. Came for the Maifest event and was not disappointed. This was a large German event. The food was great. Lots of beer to be had. Being right next to Muir Woods, the scenery was spectacular. Watching the German dancing was awesome. Easy to get to if your willing to do a ~1 mile hike.
Gorgeous club in a sheltered, secluded part of the mountain. Good beer too.
Nature friends the best club ever good people good food good conversation it helped me
I am a member of the club and it is delightful place to visit.
Great place to relax. We go to the Kinderfest event every September and have a blast! Great Oktoberfest celebration!
Good people, good beer.
We finally made the trip and were not disappointed. We got there a little later than expected, so we had a long line to contend with. But the surrounding forest and the views while waiting helped take our minds off the wait. And once we got our beer, the environment was even more magical. If you ever have time, this event is a must.
Had a great time here with the kids for their Maifest. It was PACKED and had to park about a mile away which even finding that spot was difficult. If I could do it over Id have gotten there about 15 minutes before the event started for easier parking.
Love this place! Nestled in the woods, its charming and a nice place to take a break and relax after a hike. Happened to run into the Octoberfest celebration which was a lot of fun!
A place to be cherished and a club made of hardworking members that deserve great praises for the amazing results they obtain with the Tourist Club. Highly appreciated!
Hike Mt Tam to this Mid‐mountain Swiss Hostel Like spot. Bring a pack of cards and 20 for a pitcher. Closed for members only on certain weekends, so check the schedule online before you go.
The only reason it is not a 5, is it is not open to the public very often. Great people though.
Dirndl skirts in the woods. Great soft pretzels at a great price.
