Very friendly staff! A great place to see monkeys in an open environment. We humans are now caged as we walk through their environments to see them happily at play and enjoying themselves. Amazing to see how smart and attentive they are. You can place food in cups dangling by a chain, and the monkeys will pull it up to get their treat! Amazing! King the Gorilla is a great sight. Love how he communicates with his handlers, and how his food is delivered to him. A great way to spend your day!
The placenis very nice. Monkeys are kinda free roaming and the human path is the cage which is very nice for the animals. Understandably some animals are still in cage to either protect them or others from them. There are some shows like the feeding of the gorilla or other monkeys. You can feed the animals raisins and other dry fruits which is nice. Would recommend.
This place amazing experience. For 89 dollars plus tax. You can walk around and like the squirrel monkeys climb on you while you feed the healthy food. This place offers you the best time in your life. I highly recommend you got and learn about the monkeys.
My kids loved all the monkeys, especially feeding them. We opted for annual passes since we are local and it was only $10 more than the daily passes. Figured its a good place to go to get out and walk in nature. Its not a long path since most of the place is open to the monkeys and we just get some loops to observe them, so its even good for quick trips.
We had a great time here! Nice close encounter with monkeys. The only downside was that several animals were missing, compared to last time we visited.
Such a wonderful experience. So many fun monkeys. Feeding experience is great for kids and the presentations were fun and informative !
Everyone needs to go to Money Jungle at least once in their lifetime. Such a cool animal park. The smaller monkeys are free to roam while you walk through a human tunnel cage. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We had such a great time here! Our favorite part was feeding the monkeys and watching them pull up their food bowls from the human enclosures!
Well worth the money and I would highly recommend the tour where you can get up close and personal with the monkeys... My 3 year old loved and the guide is super awesome and caters to children...I am definitely coming back!
Hadnt been here since I was a kid. Its not the same. Idk if hurricanes changed it but was very disappointed. Not worth the money to me. Had been bugging my husband to go show him. Went while on business in town. They had only one gorilla and it never showed his face cuz they said he so picky he dont like the rain or wet grass so for that show it was a no show. They should have him in glass so you can at least see him. To us the gorilla is the best view of all the monkeys. Then they had no orangutans. They said one died of old age and one of cancer. This was sad to hear but if your a amusement business dont you buy more? The Baboons was a nice look. They had 2 of them. The man feeding the giant turtles was good. They have birds but Im not a bird person. Just wasnt the same for me.
Great place to visit! Staff was friendly and the young lady who does the animal shows was very knowledgeable and answered everyones questions. Great gift shop as well. Even though the monkeys were contained, there were opportunities to interact with them. We saw birds from all over, as well as turtles, tortoises and an iguana.
Could be better need more monkeys differet kinds only like 4 different types seen no gorilla visible love how you can feed them and they do have a certain ones that run free
Fun for all ages. Have been there several times over the last twenty years, always a memorable experience.
This is one of my all-time favorite places! I went here as a kid and still remember it just being the coolest thing ever, so when my family decided to take a vacation in Florida, I knew this needed to be on the list. I was hoping it was still as cool as I remembered it to be and it sooooooo was!!!! The animals are so well taken care of, the staff are very attached to them and provide all sorts of interesting information during tours. The monkeys truly have the run of the land, its almost like you are enclosed, not them and I love that! You have tunnels and walkways that are enclosed for you, but the monkeys can go anywhere they want in the massive property/jungle. My kids loved being able to feed the monkeys with the baskets!! I hope we can come back and visit again... If I loved close by I think I would practically live here! lol
It was amazing I really liked it especially the tour where you get to feed the monkeys as they climb on you I think it was really worth all the money for that I would totally do it again
The Monkey Jungle with the Rainforest Adventure Tour was everything! If you’re traveling for this place, definitely invest in the affordable experience of hanging with squirrel monkeys! My husband always wanted to see monkeys up-close. I decided to surprise him as soon as the Monkey Jungle reopened after Irma. I am so glad I did! Although I simply went to take him, I didn’t realize it was also an experience I needed for myself, too. There was nothing like it and I hope to go back one day. Even though it was rainy, it never phased me because it simply felt like part of the Rainforest experience. Our guide was a great guy—I wish I remembered his name. He has curly, longer hair. He was really chill and kind and taught us some really neat facts about the monkeys. We never once felt scared to interact with them, thanks to him! I highly recommend visiting and exploring all the grounds.
Loved it. Reasonable price for the fantastic experience you get. You can easily spend 2 to 4 hours here. Highly recommend it.
This is such a nice place. I really like the idea of being caged, while the animals are able to move freely around you. It was a great experience visiting Monkey Jungle. In my opinion, the highlight is, that you are able to feed the monkeys, and to be as close to them like never before
This is a unique experience to say the least. My family and I absolutely loved it. We also did the Amazonian Rainforest tour where you get to interact with squirrel monkeys and capuchins (but they are more shy). Unlike other encounters at other zoos this one was totally worth it because you get to spend up to 45 minutes in the area with a guide who helps facilitate interactions.
Never been to a place where majority of the animals are monkeys. Cute cool and mean & demanding not in a bad way but in a cool I know you have food for me and want you to put in the bowl kinda way. Monkeys from around the world even some that swim which is pretty cool but the whole monkeys fighting food not cool but they have a system just like people almost like a chain of command. But majority of the park is cool monkeys are extremely smart so pay attention to whats going on around you lol.
Great place for relaxing with friends.Beautiful view.
Stay and see all the exhibits. You can spend all day here if you want to, but we spent a total of 3.5 hours and had a blast. We just paid general admission and paid for 10 boxes of raisins to feed the monkeys. Enjoyed seeing King, thats one smart gorilla !!
Very intresting monkeys and gorilla mr. King he is just too cute and amazing. Very clean and very well kept place. Kids will enjoy and family.
Really awesome place, it was so much fun feeding the monkeys & watching them roaming free. Make sure you buy raisins at the entrance or sunflower seeds throughout the park to feed the Java Macaques :) All the animals looked well taken care of and the place itself is well maintained & landscaped - so pretty to walk around! They have three different shows/presentations throughout the day. Definitely recomend Monkey Jungle.
Part of the knock on this place is paying the extra $100 to feed the monkeys. I would say totally worth it because my 5 year old loved it and I had a lot of fun. Wasnt overly busy during the week and plenty of parking. Awesome!
Amazing experience!!! Had not been to the park in years, but was pleasantly surprised to see how well kept & happy all the animals are. Kudos to the hiring staff! Everyone we encountered was so knowledgeable & Michael hosted our event and was incredibly kind & helpful. Will definitely book another event. !!! Great job monkey jungle!
Second time visiting monkey jungle. First time I was a child and this time with my child. Its still family owned which I think is awesome. The staff is truly dedicated to the well being of all the little babies there cant wait to go back
A true sanctuary for these monkeys who havent always had the best home. Bring $ so you can buy food to feed them in their little bowls. They will bite so obey the safety warnings. The squirrel monkey encounter is by far one of the BEST things ever! I will return every chance I get.
Fun place to explore and learn! Definitely a place is recommend to take kids to.
A must see if anywhere near the area. Great interaction with the monkeys as the humans are the ones in cages while the monkeys roam freely. You also can feed them as well. Really cool.
I went there 2 years ago, I still got a lot of fun going there! The monkey are free and the are funny! Unfortunately the orangutan were not there... Probably dead :( But the old gorilla, King, was still there!
This place is amazing! Loved seeing and interacting with their animals. Highly recommend!
JUST LOOK. This is the best thing to do in all of South Florida, without a doubt
An absolute must visit. For anyone even remotely close by. While there is plenty of space/land for the monkeys it is not a difficult or long walk for visitors. We visited in July so it was very hot. Dress in clothes you can sweat in. My daughter had a bit of an attack from the heat so seriously dress accordingly and bring a fan or ice pack if you have sensitive people with you. The staff was beyond amazing, by the way, in helping my daughter. They are top notch. Now about the jungle itself. WOW! Get ready for the experience of a lifetime. We arrived around 1 and finished by 4 ish. You can visit the main walk through area for around $25. This allows you to see monkeys, birds, sloths, etc. In this area you will also see monkeys overhead that will drop down little bowls on chains to ask you for some food. You drop the food in the bowl and they pull it up by the chain. As an adult I loved it. Kids would probably go crazy for it. There are a few enclosures that have PVC pipes running to them where you can also drop the food and the monkeys will come right up and eat it. The food is available where you check in and at the cafe. It was $1 a box. We had six boxes but that was a little more than we needed for 2 people. The second option is to get the interactive experience which cost around $90. It includes the experience I mentioned above and a tour inside one of the bigger areas where the monkeys will come right up to you, jump on you and eat from your hands. This was amazing and absolutely worth the cost. The facility will provide you with the food you just have to provide an arm for them to crawl out on and they will begin grabbing the food. We were fortunate to see several with babies attached to them. One was even nursing. If you have an animal lover in the family this is an absolute must. The location is not flat smooth ground like a sidewalk. More like a mulch path or dirt path. It easy to walk on this but might be a little challenging with a stroller or wheelchair.
What I like most about monkey jungle is humans are the ones enclosed as you walk around the zoo while the monkeys can roam around pretty freely. This is good since these beautiful creatures deserve as much freedom as possible!
Fun interactive experience with various kinds of monkeys. You can feed them food you buy at the gift shop or from dispensers along the way. There are 3 short educational shows; the pool, feeding, and gorilla. They have birds and other animals as well. There is a soda / water machine along the way. Only a few sitting places. They do have a wheelchair route, but be aware it is all mulch no paving. Amazing tall stand of bamboo. Fun! Great for kids.
Everything was nice and the animals are very well taken care of but a little on the boring side. Cafeteria was closed that day so nothing but chips and banana pops and drinks to eat. Very beautiful though and MOST of the staff is welcoming and friendly.
Just amazing! Great place to come close to this amazing creatures and relax. Staff are really professional and friendly, monkeys do get picky with their food but love you either way. You have to visit!
The only place where you can see macaques running wild on a seven acre compound and also watch them swim. Small, but still educational about wildlife, Monkey Jungle is a great weekend visit or School field trip.
It’s a really nice place to spend an afternoon. The interaction with the monkeys is really nice and my son loved it. I do feel it’s a bit overpriced.
Fun place for families. Clean and interactive. Nice friendly staff
We have been visiting this place for about 15 years. We always look forward to being the caged animal. This is a very unique place and something worth putting on your bucket list. Do yourself and the monkeys a favor and bring a huge container of rasins.
Its a good place to spend the morning, you can walk the whole park in 2 hours max, theres presentations along the day and vending machines for drinks and a small place for a quick bite and snacks! We had a good time here!
Incredible experience. You get to share with different kind of monkeys, feed them and you can even share with them and let them jump on you. It’s an amazing and organized environment, and they have a Gorilla called King, who was rescued from a circus . I’m thinking about going to visit again.
This place is a hidden gem!!! I went here with my best friend and was amazed by my experience. Its the only place I have been where the humans are caged and the animals are free. Go by here and enjoy yourself.
Most of the monkeys run free & you walk through screened areas. Gorilla & others behind DC some enclosures. Really interesting & good to take kids.
A great way to spend the day with family and friends
Truly unique interaction wiith several species of monkey. You are in a wire tube that traverses the jungle. Hundreds of monkeys follow you and interact. Beautifully nestled in the city.
Great little addition to our trip. About 45 minutes south of Miami Beach, but worth the drive. My daughter loves monkeys and the gorilla is definitely King!
Great place to take the kids and learn alot about rainforest
How I loved this place! It is great and I liked how most of the monkeys are free!!! (Not in cages) my daughter was goin nuts feeding them raisins and craisins ... I liked how the shows the have, are directed for us to learn about them... Not to make the monkeys do tricks and stuff like that...Thumbs up for the team and all of the monkeys!
Very interactive and monkeys were everywhere and so much fun. The trainers giving the shows are great. King was great!Would have loved to do the jungle tour but it was very expensive.
The staff is very knowledgeable and passionate about the care for the monkeys. And there are so many kinds! Theyre polite, clean, beautiful creatures living amongst each other. Its a beautiful experience, highly recommended.
Monkey Jungle is the best! A must stop adventure when traveling to South Florida. Truly unique and a one of a kind.experience. Be sure to checkout the Rainforest Tour!
Really enjoyed this place. Would give a higher rating except for 2 things. The cost of admission is WAY too high for no more than they have here. This place is also WAY out . Be prepared for quite a drive. Also be prepared to sweat as there is very little shade here and no AC at all. Careful around the monkies as they will pee on you! I feel they could do a better job of caring for the animals and keeping their cages cleaner.
1st time there Fiance went there as a child so thought it would be a good part of our Anniversary/Baby moon to visit it was awesome being able to feed the monkeys I actually touched the monkeys hands I will never forget this place going to go back once I have my Baby and hes a bit older!
If you love monkeys, and who doesnt, this is a great place to observe them in the closest thing to their natural habitat. The catch is youll be in the cage while the monkeys run free. Its a lot of fun and great for kids too.
The most mesmerizing experience Ive hadThe smoke and Shows are great and Fun. Love the Snakes and, manatees..presentations.. cute.., monkey.. giving the shows are great. .tunnel cage. checkout the Rainforest Tour...... interaction with the monkeys is really. them raisins presentations were fun and informative..666.... and feed them,,,Theyre very cute. Love the Food was nice of him to Food up Downtown Food Radio station Food ollies Food in Our kitchen.
The interaction with the monkeys are priceless, my pictures dont do my post justice, I have so much wonderful footage of hand feeding monkeys I urge everyone to book the experience ( adult and kid friendly) about $90.00 toatl for upclose feeding experience about $30.00 for entry/gated feeding.
Monkey Jungle in Homestead, FL. was an AWESOME experience!!!! We had visited one other time years ago..and loved it, but this time... we paid extra for the Rainforest Encounter for my birthday present.... What a BEAUTIFUL experience!!!! There was a small group of us and the monkeys came down so we could get up close and personal with them! Wow!!!! Our guide Bailey, was very nice and extremely knowledgable and filled us in on the monkeys and their lifestyles and behaviors. Bailey offered the food to us freely... which attracted the monkeys to us! Our Ranger Christopher (Chris) was very helpful and also very knowledgeable.... We were in the Rain Forest for a good while... so you really get your monies worth. The Rain Forest ticket also includes the 3 shows and further monkey adventures in the park... where the monkeys are above you and drop bowls down on chains for you to fill up with raisins. What a great experience!!!!!!!
Small and friendly place! In about 2 hours you get to see the whole place. Free parking. You can bring your own food and have it in the picnic area, they sell beverages throughout dispenser machines only.
Well run, nice, interaction with animals in tropical environment.
Nice place to enjoy monkeys, a little bit expensive, but the kids love this place.
Love this place. Its been there for years, but my son loved it just as much as I did as a kid. Feeding mo keys in the cups is the best part.
The monkey experience was cool and expensive we had the chance to feed the monkeys. However, it is small place where you look at the animals through cages or fences.
Loved it as a kid 30 years ago, loved it recently again as an adult with my kids. Great alternative to the zoo
It was nice seeing the different monkeys. My family and I and others were disappointed that we couldnt see the 3:30pm exhibition of the Gorilla King. That may have been the climax of our experience but was hindered. That REALLY DISAPPOINTED US AND MANY OTHERS!!
Staff are informative and educational (5 stars)exhibits are old. Price of entry is relatively expensive to size of park. Worth a 1 time visit with kids
This was the best my kids loved it. We are from Texas.
This place is awesome!!! Monkeys are everywhere and you can feed them raisins. Plan on staying a while. Definitely worth the trip
You have to try the behind the scenes experience if you go here, amazing
Excellent trip, well worth the drive!! 100% would do it again, but I would protect myself better with mosquito repellent. Only thing I would say I didnt like was feeling like my skin was on fire from the little ants (or whatever they were) biting me.
Pretty fun place to take children. You can feed the monkeys for 75 cents in a bowl and they will pull it up with a chain. It appeared they had quite a bit of room, however the different types of monkeys were in pretty small exhibits. The place in general is small, but it was a fun experience.
Fun experience for the kids.
I can not say enough about The Monkey Jungle as my grandmother and I visited there every week while Tamami Trail was being constructed. I learned a lot about primates while going there. The owner and staff were always friendly and eager to talk about any topic of the animals. This was in 1956. I would love to visit there again .
Very interesting place. Lots of fun!!
Just WOW!! Once in a lifetime thing feeding the monkeys. So friendly Staff!!
Great place to visit, been wanted to visit for a long time!
Awesome for a good family trip young and old.
Great experience! We had fun monkeying around.
So much fun to feed the monkeys!
Lots of cool primates and avians on display including one of two captive gorillas. Its worth paying to feed the monkeys in the rainforest and have them climb on you.
This is the best part of my trip to Miami. Ticket prices are reasonable. I had a blast feeding the different species of monkeys. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful in making our experience the best it could possibly be. I definitely suggest everyone to visit this attraction at least once. Only thing is i wish i would have been able to really see the sloths but thats only because i REALLY REALLY love sloths. Also consider bringing an umbrella so you dont get peed on. Other than that i LOVE this place and i appreciate them for building something like this without charging ridiculous prices to get in. Also they should consider getting a picture stand for memorabilia photos.
Nice zoo. Went there with family. Funniest part is to feed monkeys. Nice shows. However, a bit expensive at 30$.
Ton of fun for the whole family!!! Could be a bit pricey but its a very enjoyable way to spend a few hours!
This is an amazing place if you want to go with your family, friends and even by yourself
Awesome experience especially the jungle tour.
Was a cool place. My son loved feeling the moneys. They should have had a area where we could have been more personal with the moneys.
A fun place to visit, everything great!! Great knowledgeable staff and the monkeys made the experience terrific. Just make sure you bring mosquito and spary yourself down before taking your jungle tour.
Been vacationing in Miami Ft Lauderdale area for 20 years. Wished we found this quaint treasure years ago! Do the rain forest enclose encounter! Its amazing! Young children will love this! ️
My family loved it we got to feed real spider monkey in our hands while they were on our shoulder and arm
One of the most incredible things you can ever hope to do in Miami
A real jungle surrounded by nature with really a lot of very nice and sociable monkeys the very good guides and even the shows pity that we were there a few hours due to rain and know that they do not reimburse the ticket, but they were nice that there they said we could find the next day if we wanted to.
Clean place, excellent for kids, good maintained and the shows are informative and funny. My daughter was injured by an ant (eye) but the attendant helps fast. My big disappointment was the price, is to high for one hour of visit (not big place to stay any longer) out of that. A lot of trees to cover by action of sun
The area to have the monkeys be climbing on you is about $150 per person! THIS IS NOT SAID ON THEIR WEBSITE! for two people, the total was $300!! maybe if they lowered their prices for this experience they’d make more money.
Just like I remember it 50 years ago. Laid back informative and fun.
The most amazing experience of my life. Being able to walk through their amazon safari area with the squirrel monkeys was absolutely incredible. Holding and feeding the monkeys were amazing. Ive never laughed and smiled so much! The fire ant bites were definitely worth the pain. Absolutely incredible day. (We were also only one of 8 people there the whole time we were there so felt like a private tour and visit- a Wednesday morning in October)
Must be honest - when reading the reviews, we were nervous about making the trip to South Miami to visit. But after visiting, we were beyond happy that we did. We went for Valentines Day weekend and had the best, best, best time. If you really want to make it over the top, pay the extra to have the monkey excursion. It was FANTASTIC. You go in the back and get interactive with the monkeys. It was one of the most fun Ive ever had in my life. The place as a whole is small, the shows are pretty decent, but it is really a unique place and we had a blast!
Eddy, a Manager there is very nice,. The MonkeyJungle wasVery interesting w 6 informative presentations daily of Monkeys & King, the Resident Gorilla who does Hilarious things with Trainer, like Make a Funny Face, when asked to do it.King also unscrews his Drink Bottle, then puts it in Trash when he,s done drinking it. Another Trainer explained how Capucine Monkeys can be trained to help disabled persons in many ways, inc even calling 911!!
Love nice place
