A very beautiful park. My only complaint was that the Jimmie Rodgers Museum was supposed to be open and it wasnt. It was still a nice day and I really enjoyed looking at the Muscovy ducks by the pond. Definitely a place to visit.

This is where I coach my Youth Flag Football team for parks and recreation in Meridian. Its peaceful and safe. Its even well lit at night time by stadium lights. I have Lots of memories and have had lots of fun with with my little guys.

Absolutely horrible, Wednesday, took children to the splash pad today and the play in the pool, the pool was horribly dirty, apparently it takes money to get in the splash pad which is fine but they had no signs or prices posted anywhere, had problem understanding change when it came out to $9 and I gave them ten. Lifeguards are rude as hell, the fun my children had was worth the hassle tho, as far them wanting to come back. But for a Meridian public community space, it was absolutely horrible.

I was passing by the area and made the detour to the park. This amazing jewel was worth it. I will definitely be back during daylight hours.

Extremely entertaining for the whole family including your pets!!!, before everyone shoe eat and gather, but lots and lots of acreage and grass for your pets to run and play! Dont forget the more famous attractions of the train and Carousel, this place brings a lot of focus from far and wide. My experience at this park was not only one I would choose to have again, but also a pinpoint destination I would have already planned ahead of time, making special travel distance a specific reason to come to Meridian. So many times I will look for a local park in the area I am visiting, and rarely able to find ones that accommodate everything, mainly also being my pets. I parked my car and let my dogs run free without a leash, and it was amazing and definitely would visit again!!

We absolutely loved the carousel. You can actually ride it. Its inside and air conditioned.They have a snack bar with snowcones. Do not use the park bathroom. You will be sorry. I was. See

I love this park I use to visit this place as a kid. The carousel and splash pad is refreshing. You can swim and its about beautiful scenery. Its a great recreational place for the family and it has an onsitemusen dedicated to some dude but over all its still lovely

I dont understand all of the positive reviews... yes. This used to be my favorite park growing up and Id love to one day take my kids there all the time. The scenery INSIDE the park is beautiful, but the outside is whole other story. A lot of Run down abandoned, Drug and gang infested homes across the streets. Because of this theres shootings there constantly and robberies. My mother lives a few blocks out still and she hears them all the time coming from the park. Its nothing new for me to hear gunshots on the phone while taking to her. Sorry, but my kids lives and myself is more important than taking them to this park. Dont know why they just built that splash pad when people like myself are afraid of being shot trying to have fun.*older photo before crime skyrocted.

The park is home to a world famous Dentzel Carousel, the only original two-row stationary menagerie in the world, and the Meridian Community College Lady Eagles Softball team. Highland Park features a pond, seasonal pool, basketball courts and a playground. Picnic slave is available by reservation.

Its still a quiet, pleasant place to sit and enjoy nature during the day time. I like to eat lunch by the pond and watch the squirrels and ducks.

It is a very nice park despite being in a bad neighborhood, the playground equipment is in good condition and the grounds are well kept. It is a great location for birthday parties too.

Some neat attractions, cool playground and ball fields but spray paint tags, worn out bathroom and gang presence make this park not too nice.

Highland Park is Best place in the world for me & my kids to relax and play! Weve been coming here for years. From church functions, to weddings and birthday parties we have done it all at Highland Park!
