This is NOT a lobstering experience. We were taken to water that was 15 feet deep and 3 foot seas. When we booked the trip, we requested a snorkeling trip to lobster and we did tell them that there were children that it would be their first time lobstering. The staff on the boat were very unkind when questioned about how deep the water was and acted like we should have known. Very disappointed in our first family lobstering trip!!! Looks like we will be buying some from the store. :(

Yes they went out of business but their web site is still up and also the booking engine. They charged our credit cards and bank accounts, even sent confirmation texts and emails and made us waist our time by driving here on labor day weekend. Simply fraudulent and irresponsible.

Staff went above and beyond making sure we were prepared and had everything we needed. They served fresh pineapple and cold drinks between and after dives. Definitely recommend.

Unfortunately, Halls has become a victim of the Covid-19 and has closed. Nice people there while they were open.

I had a great refresher and reef dive with Halls. Captain Dan, Instructor Matt and Instructor Bray were knowledgeable and fun to dive with. Glad I did it. Highly recommended. I hope to go out with them again soon.

The family & I did a two tank dive today with the crew and staff of Halls Diving Center. It was a very professionally executed event. We even had the opportunity to watch the crew and staff do technical skills & a Man Overboard rescue. Aaron & Zack, diving staff were knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. The Mrs said its the best crew & staff shes ever dived with. We highly recommend to one and all.

Sadly this dive shop appears to be out of business. Phone is no longer working and door is locked. I booked online weeks ago for dives on September 8-9 and have now had to dispute charges with Amex .

Sad to ride 14 hours and not get one lobster so they can’t be professional don’t spend your money rent a boat go on your own

We had an amazing first scuba diving experience! It was comfortable and comprehensive as we learned the basic equipment and safety procedures, and then exploded into a sensory delight- fish, crabs, lobsters, and so many coral. Even an eel! Thanks Dave & Dan- you were so fun and true expert underwater guides!

We had a group of 7, a mix of divers and snorkelers. Halls said that was enough to run a boat with just us, which was fantastic! The group was 5 snorkelers and 2 divers, ranging from 11 to 62. The diving was great, we went to the Sombrero reef and we saw so many different types of sea life. Would definitely dive with them again.

A experienced and professional Dive master and Capt. along with great dive locations made for an incomparable dive experience. Im forever impressed with Halls ability to put you on the best sites in the best water/vis. Thanks for all your help and the safe, fun trips.

I booked and paid everything, and at the end of the day when I came back from key west I was 40 of fever and bedridden ... and this for 4 days ... I warned them the day before that I couldnt come but they wouldnt refund the dive (170$) all the same ... so double penalty ... sick and couldnt enjoy key west and pay for a dive that I couldnt do ... In france, we pay the dive afterwards when its business and not diver spirit...

We spent the morning both snorkeling and scuba diving. The guides and captain were very helpful and knowledgeable. The weather was perfect and the water clear. I highly recommend Hall’s for a diving trip while in Marathon. Very worthwhile!

I heard about Halls through a family member after a couple phone calls and talking with their team I made a trip down to Marathon Florida and got certified to do open water diving through the Halls Institute. Theres absolutely nothing bad I can say about halls or anyone in their staff. everyone you talk to weather be on the phone or in person at the store is very professional and eager to answer any questions you may have. During my experience learning how to go diving the instructor took the time to walk me through everything including the parts that I had trouble with. I highly recommend the Halls Institute to anyone whos wanting to get certified in open water diving. And for any fellow veterans out there they also have a great program that works with your GI Bill. they also have a full lineup of BCs regulators and anything you would need to go snorkeling and or diving.

Crew was extremely kind but they need to inform that it is geared for diving. We had a group of 4 that wanted to snorkel and the boat is not steady for a fun day. We all got sea sick. Great for diving but not a place to go for snorkeling.

We went snorkeling on New Years Eve and we had a blast! Dave was super knowledgeable and was a great host! We saw a ton of different fish and even dolphins! Definitely recommend!

If you are a veteran and consider using your GI Bill for instructor training....think again. They have been holding my personal property and certifications hostage..for a year...and unless I pay the thousand whatever,and goes up each month. I missed a day of valuable training while my son was in the hospital in Tampa. They have a great foundational program but for veterans, they dont really care. As long as the money keeps flowing. Oh and should I mention that half our classes were taught by a drunken buffoon whom later they got rid of after. I was part of the SPECIAL class the learn it yourself type. But through history...the worlds finest divers have heard of halls...

Was out at sombrero reef lighthouse and had the halls dive boat come in and ANCHOR! In the middle to dive, not a mooring ball, or hidden mooring. Bad form on the professional business standard in the sanctuary! Yes i saw the anchor drop and come up too, not a mooring. Would expect more from the shop professionals.

From the very attentive staff, to the hot shower (with soap!) after our dives, to the fresh fruit and very comfortable beat, our dives & experience with Halls was top notch. We would recommend them and would dive with them again.
