The land is absolutely stunning. Once you get passed the huge slush walkway and army of mosquitos

In low tide is a perfect place to kiteboarding in high tide the wind make the water to choppi, if you want to learn kiteboarding you need to get in touch with windstalkers kiteboarding,

Very narrow trail. View of the Bay at the midpoint is underwhelming

Took us about 50 min to do the whole trail. We did it in Birkenstocks but I would definitely recommend a closed toe shoe. Theres a lot of rocks and fallen branches so its not a very easy hike. We saw lots of snakes and lizards which was a little scary at first but none of them bothered us. Its definitely not a relaxing hike its a more adventurous hike

If you’ve done any other hikes in hammocks, don’t waste your time on this one. Difficult terrain (very rocky and rooty, uneven footing) and almost total lack of any interpretive signs made the 1.5 miles seem much longer. And the bay view was anticlimactic.

The beach was OK given it was only $6 but the trail on the other hand was horrendous. My mom and I (both very athletic and great with direction) looped around 3 times in different places on the trail as there are NO direction signs anywhere and also trails people have made leading off the main trail. It is not clear at all what is the main trail and what is made by other people. Very nerve-racking as I continuously hike back home and have no problem navigating those trails. There is one sign warning about poisonous snakes and trees yet the trails are completely covered by shrubbery. Very disappointed in this trail as its been something Ive always wanted to do

Campground and facilities are very good. Beach and water acceptable. A good time for all.

The trail itself is relatively short, but the uneven terrain makes it somewhat challenging. Shoes are recommended and you need to constantly watch your footing. The interpretive signs are always nice to see, and as others have noted, watch out for the poisonous trees. There is a sign along the bike path warning of venomous snakes, but no further details. During our hike, we heard a larger animal running through the underbrush, but never got a chance to see it.

Some of the trees are poisonous, so watch out. “Look, don’t touch” as is encouraged. Trail base can be hard for some and don’t wear flip flops.
