We love splashdown. It is great for all ages. Our favorite is the lazy river where everyone can go all at the same time and have fun together. They have a variety of slides from toddlers to adults. They do not allow food but a family meal of Hotdog sandwiches, bucket fries and 4 drinks only cost $25.
We went there for memorial long weekend. We were there at 11.05 am (I.e the opening time) but little crowded at that time. Lots of parking but only limited rides but kids would definitely enjoy this place. I have spent a lot of time in lazy rides and pipeline rides. It would be nice if we have more slide length in cannonball ride. All the pools are clean and well maintained and worth for $16. We will be coming back again for another visit
Always fun. My only complaint is they have changed anything for more than 20 years, no new or different slides. Thats not to say its run down. The slides are maintained perfectly.
Absolutely loved, was a great place for older and younger the day we went. My only complaint is just how hot the walkways gets barefoot, theres really nothing you can do about it so I suggest bringing water shoes so you can just keep them on
My family traveled from Baltimore, Md during June 2017 & this past Memorial Day weekend it was absolutely fun we had the chance to play on the volleyball court which was exciting . Nice atmosphere great food I love the slides couldn’t get enough. My only con would be that the life guards that where working at the bottom of the slides weren’t so friendly a bit snobby to me. Other than that we enjoyed our visit and will visit again in the near future.
This was fun.. had everything for kids and adults.. slides and wade pools.. good food.. it also has a wave pool.. nice.. entry price is not bad
A cute little place to have a great summer day
Lazy river is faster than anticipated. The lifeguards are always on alert. The water slides are thrilling and the pool is lots of fun. Smaller than anticipated but over all nice place to go with the family.
This place is the best. My kids love this place. We will be visiting next summer for sure
This is a very nice water park. Not too big but also not crowded. The life guards are super attentive. For the price it is worth going to for sure
Nice, but very basic Waterpark, in my opinion. But I am from Florida, so my scale may be skewed. There are two big slides, two little slides, a big pool area with some play things and a lazy river, plus a whole little kid area which I have not really paid attention to. No wave pool, which seems like a shortfall. The lazy river is pretty plain. You can enter from stairs in one spot or from the lagoon, but can only exit from the lagoon. With the layout, this is kind of annoying because you seem to have to walk the long way around to get to places when you want to get in or out of the lazy river. The food options are fine and not too pricey compared to other park places.I wish they opened at 10 instead of 11 and stayed open a little later. Also, they dont open until memorial day and close around labor day, but it would be nice if they were open some more weekends on both sides of the summer.
The park is small, but fun. There are still only four slides for adults, six slides for kids (including the adult slides), and a couple of other slides for little kids. The food is horrible, made me sick. Its a good place for a 3 hour getaway, but you will get bored quick if you are looking for the items found at bigger water parks such as Six Flags. On a side note I found the food staff to be rude, slow service at both the ticket counter and food lines, incompetent sales staff who barely know what they are doing, and uncaring supervisors to fix the issues.
This is a really fun water park. The lazy river was fun for the adults as well as the kids. Deeper pools made this a fun water park for my oldest. The only down side is no outside food or beverages.
If i could give this place 1/2 star I would. From the 90 minute wait time to ride go carts, or 60 wait time to ride other rides, to expensive entrance fees to even a non friendly Disabled parking lot, which is far and not nearly enough to support the capacity of customers they have I would NOT RECOMMEND this location for anyone. DO NOT waste your time. Go elsewhere.
I personally liked Splashdown but my kids werent so keen on it. My eleven year old was annoyed that the lifeguards wouldnt let him on the slides unless he took off his swim mask. He saw other people use theirs without any issues. Then I walked around the tried to find the white sand beach I read about on the website. I only found a kids playground and volleyball court. Is this what they mean by white sand beach? Anyhow, I enjoyed the lazy river. There were also plenty of seats with shade which was nice. If you forget an item they also have a store. They sell everything from sunblock to tote bags and swimsuits.
Good experience for youth and adults. However lots of people make it somewhat difficult to fully enjoy. Had a large event and staff were attentive. Food (pizza) wasnt half bad.
It’s always a great place to go enjoy with friends and family and take the kids out to have fun
This place used to be called Ben Lomond back in the 80s. When it became place down it was a huge improvement. Its a really nice place.
My kids love this place. Everyone, of all ages, can find enjoyment there. I love that theres a lifeguard every few feet. I feel safe there
I liked it more thank I thought I would. It was a busy day there, but the lines werent bad. Friendly staff for the most part as well.
This place is great for the whole family. They have so much to do for everyone of all ages. We loved it and I would recommend it to anyone.
It is very well maintained, by the way most of the people working are teenagers. Most are very courteous and they try hard to do their job.
So much fun lots to do. However not enough seating for such a large Park. And youre not allowed to bring your own food inside the park. One way for the park to make money.
My husband took me here for my Bday because he knows I love waterparks, it was wonderful!!!! Lots of fun, very inexpensive, low key and family friendly. I would definitely recommend, not too much hustle and bustle, lines werent long at all, we went on a Monday afternoon. Adult and kid friendly.
Love this place. Very family oriented
Overcrowded, and the customers in general are undesirables. The lazy river is a gauntlet of teens rough housing. Its not required that you have a tube, so its more of a dangerous, high stress river than a lazy river. On the small slides for kids some thug woman was trying to fight my girlfriend because my GF told her daughter she needed to wait in line like everyone else. My general feeling on the place is that it is dangerous. Not somewhere I want to be taking my family.
Pretty small water park but it got the job done. I loved the slide ride but the one without the tube line is always long AF. I took one star away because I caught a cold. Food choices are just okay but it got the job done
I wish this place had a wave pool. Tried to get them to put wave pool in since the 1994. Splash down has the space and would make so much more money. I would then buy season passes.
The park is nice and clean but the lazy river was super annoying. It was full of empty tubes and the people working just ignored them. So it made the lazy river more crowded. One of the guys working asked a coworker if they should pull them out and said not to worry about and people would see them and figure out to grab their own. It made it a complete mess.
This place is really nice to meet friends and enjoy with family. I just recommend buy preference pases to faster play
Love this water park. Great experience, lines werent super long and staff were helpful to us
Friendly, not super crowded. The power went out while we were there and the manager gave everyone rain checks, which was very nice of him.
Great place to cool off on the hot summer days. Very attentive staff and polite as well.
We love it there and so does the kiddos plus you dont really have to wait in line because they move fairly fast.
Very nice the children loved it... its was nice for adults as well. Pleasant staff
This a great place to hit if you are in Mannases. It is great for the whole family. Pleanty of water to enjoy.
Great time for the family. Great employers too. My son just started working there and he loves it!
I have never written a negative review but I had to say something about my experience here in hopes that someone in management will see this and make a change for future guests. Customer service here really needs improvement. We went on a day that wasnt extremely crowded and still waited an hour to order food at the snack cart. Then later on waited 30 mins just to order a bottled water at another cart. The staff were not moving with any sense of urgency at all. They were messing up multiple orders and were unapologetic, borderline argumentative. What was worse was the interaction I had with someone in management. We arrived early to the park and my husband had to use the bathroom. We walked over to the side of the park were we saw bathrooms. It was early so the pools were empty. I noticed a swim meet was going on at a back pool and there were some staff taking down a tent. While waiting for my husband to leave the bathroom the kids asked the lifeguard if they could use the rope obstacle course. The life guard said yes. As my 7 year old is following the instructions of the life guard someone (I assume in management?) comes over and screams at me that this side of the park is not open yet. I am immediately apologetic and tell my children to come away from the pool because it is closed. The woman then says in a condescending tone, Yes, that is why the barricades are up. I turn around and behind me someone has put up blue barricades blocking the path I just freely walked through with my family. The staff who were taking down the tent are gone. I say Oh they mustve just put that up, because I just freely walked through. To that the woman is condescending again, No, they have been up since 5 this morning. It never occurs to this woman that maybe someone moved them to take down the large tent and then put them back up. Her assumption is what? That I jumped the barricade with my husband and three children? Why werent her staff informed that the the pool was closed? If they had told us that we would have left the area immediately.I felt very offended that she would talk to a first time customer that way. It says a lot about the staff if this is who they have in leadership. Though the kids had fun we wont be back.
I took my great niece there and she enjoyed her self how ever I believe that the fair just going to watch is to high
I work here and i love the job so much. Very fun place for children
It’s nice to have something so close to home that’s a decent size, not too big and not too small. I enjoyed the lazy river and the slide with the tube the most! The food prices weren’t bad either!
Very family-oriented not too crowded like the big amusement parks
Great price es great fun. Take your family our a group of friends and enjoy.
Was really great experience. I like that there are lifeguards all over. I stayed in the section with the baby waterslides, there where, 5 in that section alone, regardless of other areas. My niece is 3, but they where very kid friendly, and she had a blast, absolutely loved being a big girl and riding by herself. The pricing is reasonable, and we got in at a discounted price because they where closing in two hours. Its an awesome way to let the kids get wet and everyone had a good time.
Kids enjoyed themselves so I cant complain. Just go early because it gets crowded quickly
I was there today for 2 hours and tools got stolen out of the back of my truck, bathrooms were nasty, it was over crowded, and there were feminine products floating in the lazy river.... my family and everyone I was with will never be going back to this poor excuse for a water park and I encourage any and all to go anywhere else!!!!!
Good value and close location. The kids have a lot of fun and the food is reasonably priced.
Kicked us out of the pool with out out even storming.. Paul blart rent a cop locked us out of the bathroom after we got asked to leave due to electrical issues...couldnt change and children had to pee in parking lot. Very disappointed...
NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE AT ALL WAS HERE WITH MY 4 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER MY 6 YEAR OLD NIECE AND MY SISTER. WE WERE IN THE LITTLE KID AREA WITH THE LITTLE SLIDES MY DAUGHTER WHO HAD A LIFE VEST ON THAT WAS THE CORRECT SIZE CAME DOWN BOTH THE PINK SLIDE WITH A LIFE GUARD STANDING LITERALLY 2 FEET AWAY SHE CAME OFF THE SLIDE RIGHT BESIDE WHERE SHE WAS STANDING AND ALMOST DROWNED I HAD TO HURRY UP AND GET THROUGH THE CROWD OF PEOPLE IN FRONT OF ME TO GET MY CHILD GIRL LIFEGUARD NEVER EVEN MOVED. THEN SHE WENT TO COME DOWN THE GREEN SLIDE AND THE LIFE GUARD LET NUMEROUS PEOPLE BUTT IN FRONT OF HER FINALLY MY SISTER HAD TO GO UP THERE AND TELL THE LIFEGUARD ABOUT HIMSELF AND ABOUT LETTING THE OTHER KIDS GO IN FRONT OF HER. WILL NOT BE RETURNING DUE TO THIS EXPERIENCE THE LIFEGUARDS DO NOT PAY ATTENTION TO THE KIDS LIKE THEY SHOULD OH AND P.S. ARM FLOATS ARE NOT ALLOWED UNLESS THEY ARE GOVERNMENT ISSUED AND APPROVED.
I loved the water rides. Food was delicious. One of the best places to visit in summer and chill with friends and family.
Free parking. Customer service not great. A lot of teenagers and young adults work here. Prices are reasonable. Food is okay.
My kids and I throughly enjoy this park. It’s always clean. The employees appear to love their job which shows in their customer interactions. Great water park! Not expensive and clean!
Wonderful lifeguards and very patient concessions staff. Highly recommend!
My family had a great time, staff was friendly and accommodating.
Fun place but takes 45+ minutes to get anything to eat.
My first visit was cut short because of weather. Christopher Kelly should be recognized as an outstanding representative. It was my first visit with my six and nine year old and they were so excited but then we got cut short. Mr. Kelly has restored my faith in customer service and I wish I could give him six stars
Splashdown is a small park located in the back of a neighborhood, and I love that. I dont come here looking for crazy 20 story slides, but rather some low key family fun. This park has had a special place in my heart since I came as a kid and I am glad to see it is still the same. The wait times arent that long for the large slides and the cannonball slide is also a quick line as well! Sometimes I take the kids I babysit here and the little faux beach area is well loved by them. If you are looking for a nice all-around family friendly park this is the one!
Nice place to have fun with the family close to everything
Nice. I had a great time with my granddaughter
Life guards are so happy to be there and so much stuff to do
Not a ton of options. But the adult slides are fun, the lazy river is relaxing if not too many kids are in it, and the cannon ball slides are fast and fun. Make sure you get there early. Theres limited shaded seating. Good for the price. Will go again.
Great slides! And lots of them! Best part is the swim test for short kids, instead of a 48 discrimination. No. The best part is NO breaktime!! No, ...wait! The best part is the discrete lifeguards! Or the sandy beach! The pretty sitting areas... Or maybe the really good music that you can actually enjoy due to the great sound system! Or is it the food?? Take your pick!
Very clean. Good place to take kids
Great water park! I highly recommend the season pass, especially if you have school age kids.Big slides, a lazy river to beat all lazy rivers, and plenty more to do.There is an area for small kids as well, it’s just not very well enclosed, which makes me a little nervous.
Its a lot of fun. wish they had more slides, but they had a bunch. also no diving boards?? booooooooo. No it was fun. the wait in line was terribly long. it felt like over 40mins. Theres teenagers on the other side of the window so be prepared for them to mess your order up out of incompetence, forgetting, or just being too stressed. they charged me for a whole meal i didnt order. sigh. The lazy river lifeguards were nazis, forcing us to not grab inner tubes where most water parks would have you grab inner tubes but after you loop the entire lazy river without one at the very end. stupid. why are their inner tubes at the beginning? why dont you have a mechanism for sending inner tubes at the end to the beginning?Super hot as to be expected. We left our things in the car. which was sooooo far from where you set up chairs for putting your stuff(towels, clothing, etc). I had to walk literally across the entire park to the main entrance to my car. no flipflops on bare gravel/ rocks(my feet were wet, could put on shoes). this sucked. coming back i discovered there were tiny lockers near the food stand great. stuffs already in the car and i have no lock. Why dont they lockers come with the removable key locks?
Lot of fun, very affordable refreshments compared to other amusement park type establishments. Overall maintenance could be better, bathrooms are very dirty and appear almost completely neglected.
Have great time. Enjoyed the lazy river
Great fun for the family. Food is convenient but limited in options. Plenty of room for sunbathing or nap. Water slide lines a little long during peak hours.
My family of 5 (me, my husband and our 3 boys, ages 7yo, 2yo, 3yo)Went for the first time today (June 18,2018)We spent 5 hours here (11-4p).We had so much fun! Our kids never complained about anything. We would definitely come back again!
This place is great. It does get crowded so get there early to get a set of chairs. The lockers to store valuables are a little expensive at $5 for the day. Great for little ones but I would bring your own swim vest for little ones because the ones they have for free are a little worse for wear.
Fun water park best for family fun.
3 stars for the food places. Pizza palace was making pizza for parties and other food stations without keeping the paying customers informed. A manager was there and never stepped in to help out the employee. Otherwise I would have 4 stars. My kids had a good time.
Great Waterpark for all ages. Pretty good food. Just wish the parking lot was paved. The large rocks are bad to drive on and walk on.
Great place for kids..But also enjoyable for adults..
Lots of fun water stuff for kids. Pools, several slides including a few for toddlers, lazy River, bigger slides, and food and sand areas. The downsides are that its expensive and theres not much shade.
We went for the Thursday morning toddler time and it was great!
Awesome place, great activities, and great food and service.
Picnic area and open fields are a great place to host a family event.
This water park was incredibly fun and I enjoyed it very much. But the only thing I didnt like was that the floor was so hot that we had to move around constantly so our feet wouldnt get burned.
We only were in the kiddie area, but it suited our 2 year grandsons interest just fine. It had 3 small waterslides, a small rope climbing part, and little fountains. It was easy to watch him here and he never got into any questionable situations. Park was clean. We will go back again. Appreciated the reduced rate at 3 p.m.
A very nice place to visit.
This is the best place because i can go down any slide i want because i can swim and im 12 and i am 411
Great place to take the kids. Get there early, it gets crowded on the weekends.
My kids love this place! Bigger than the other Nova water parks
Great family water park, not expensive and nice and well kept
Pros:Nice, cool, clean water.Easy access from HW 66Cons:No food or drinks allowed, not even waterAll except one of the food places close before 5, after that you have to wait for hours for oveepriced food.No water stations - after 5 you have to wait hours for waterLifeguards are constantly blowing their whistles for anything and everything - it becomes really really annoying after a while.
It was wonderful we had a great time
