This is a great place for kids. There is so much to learn there! If your child is interested in science, there are so many hands-on things they can do. There is a play area for very young kids, and you can even do the flight simulator. The history of the Lubbock area is also women in throughout the place. There is also an OmniMax theater that surrounds you.

The water table in the toddler play area is so fun as well as all the fun things to do. Watch a movie or see the Butterfly exhibit etc. There is so much to do for kids. Science is so much fun and they make it interesting for everyone-handson. NEEDS BETTER MOVIES THOUGH... Same movies play for months if not a whole year. Which makes it not a place we visit often since the kids have gotten bigger.

The science spectrum is doing an amazing job during covid 19. Constant cleaning makes you feel very safe. Plus, they took advantage of their closed time to offer free kits to people AND update and refurb exhibits. Definitely a Lubbock favorite.

Great place for the kids. Full of fun stuff showing physics and engineering. Great museum too. Can spend a few hours.

Our 7 and 10 years old kids love to spend time here. Best decision is to get the yearly membership that combines with the Omni theater shows! We really enjoyed our visits and shows. Good place for the kids to learn, enjoy and have fun. We had been to special events happening here and enjoyed being there. We would definitely recommend this place.

We love the science spectrum. We have a family membership and try to go every Saturday. Our some loves the music room.

A must do - must see if you have children in Lubbock. Its awesome. It might have just been the day we went, but many of the exhibits were not working presumably due to a million little hands playing with them and insufficient funds for maintenance & upkeep. Nevertheless, Id still go back because we enjoyed it so much.

We love taking our little one to Science Spectrum. Lots of fun activities. The experiments and talks they offer are fun. Been to a few birthday parties and it was fun for the little ones. I love the special events like Butterflies Alive and Bubble Fest. So glad we have something like this in Lubbock.

Amazing place! Love all the events that take place here. Enjoy taking the kids, and relatives kids here to learn and play on event days and even on normal days when nothing is scheduled. This place has so much fun and interesting stuff for kids and even adults to interact with and learn about.

This is my first time in this place and my experience was greatest my family enjoyed excellent for children

Came for my sons field trip and we really enjoyed it! We really loved the butterfly exhibit. There were some HUGE moths!!

Honestly very disappointing. We had heard such awesome things about this place only to go and see half of the displays were broken, missing parts, or just not in working condition. The area where they have the turtles and snakes look poorly kept. The information is pretty interesting but everything needs to be updated.

Enjoyed our time there immensely. Lots of fun interactive and educational stations. Theres a little section for tots too. Helpful workers. And fairly priced! I would definitely come back any time in Im the area.

The butterfly exhibit was terrific. My kids enjoyed the first floor the best especially the grocery store, news casting and veterinary clinic.

Tha Mad Masquerade party at the Science Spectrum in Lubbock, Texas was mad!!! Everyone looked so nice in their costumes or gowns and we all had fun even though, I had no idea what I was doing while we were trying to solve a murder. After calming down from all of that, I actually looked through the exhibits and hands on experiments. There is a lot there, filled with the quality and learning a community needs. Yes, I am planning on attending next year!!!

Always love our visits. This time we took the kids to the OMNI as well and they loved it. Even the 6 month old.

Lubbock is fortunate to have this facility.We attended the event to watch the eclipse and had a great time.Watched the movie SolarMax, it was very informative & our 9yr old enjoyed it as well.

From bugs, to sea life, to exploring music, optical illusion, fantastic exhibits, and a large relaxing OMNI theatre.HIGHLY SUGGEST TO ANYONE NEW TO LUBBOCK, OR RESIDENTS/VISITORS.They have a picnic/food area in the lobby to eat in, 3 floors of crazy fun and educational experiences, and their gift shop has some of the coolest toys, rocks, stuffed animals and books!

My grand daughter had a blast she loved all the hands on activities...not to mention the omni theater...WOW...!!! What an experience.

Loved this place! We came on a field trip with our homeschool group. We only planned on being there for two hours but ended up staying much longer because we just enjoyed it so much. The price was also very reasonable.

Rented this place twice for our club’s program. Good service and also cheaper than other places of Lubbock. Loved the place.

Older science museum with extensive interactive displays. Our kids, age 10 and 12, really enjoyed themselves.The OMNI MAX theater is an awesome way to watch any film.

My 8-yrs old grandson loved it but was disappointed that many things were not working. He still had a great time. A lot of caregivers turned children loose that had no manners nor regard for waiting their turn. We saw children with their matching tee shirts but did not see any adults with them until they lined them up to leave. Employees were very friendly! It was a good day!

Fun place to spend time with your family. A lot of things to see and experience. My son & nephew loves this place so much.

The yearly membership is some serious bang for your buck! Our family loves going here and the employees are always so welcoming and helpful.Plan ahead and look for the exhibit/show/animal schedules throughout the day.

Fun place for family outing that exposes kids to basics of science. Very inspiring and go there only if you have enough time to let the kids explore and let their imaginations go wild.

One of the more fun places to visit in Lubbock, there is a lot to do and they have special events - including a few that are 21 and up. For the price, you can spend several hours here and make it worth it. Good value.

This place was awesome. Hands down. Spent about 3 hours and could have spent more. A few exhibits were not in working order, but did not negatively impact the experience with all there was else to see.The earth is flat.

Took my two year old here to see the butterfly exhibit. We also went to the under 5 area and she had a ton of fun and enjoyed herself for about two hours! Very impressed with the reasonable prices both for entry and for food/gifts. The employees were friendly and helpful and we will definitely be back!

Definitely the spot to go to when the weather is bad if you got kids. Lots to do and see

This was a great stop while we were visiting family in Lubbock. My kids stayed fully engaged for about 3 hours. A few of the exhibits had lots of wear but it did not take away from my kids having a positive experience.

Great place to let kids interact with science. Extremely kid friendly, if they are old enough you pay for them to get in and you can sit at the snackbar tables to save money.Grandson ran around for 2 1/2 hours exploring, till he got hungry lolBest to purchase movie and museum ticket at same time. Ive been going to the science spectrum since it was located on 50th and slide. Have always loved it...... but after my gf and I visited today, sadly I will likely not be returning. The maintenance seems non existent, the aquarium is definitely more depressing than informative, and to top it off they advertised the wrong omni documentary so as it was starting they informed us it was not the movie we paid for. Really wish they could fix the place up some, maybe time for new management and a remodel?

It would be nice if this place was renovated and brought up to date. The dinosaur downstairs is the same one from when I was a kid and a little disappointing. Please considering bringing it up to date a little. We really love coming there but most things are broken everytime we go.

Great for kids to learn many things. This facility has great meeting rooms to rent. The Omni Max theater is wonderful and hosts excellent productions.

Lots to do for my little one. He always enjoys his visits here. Purchasing the membership is well worth it.

This was bubble fest its always a great place to go too .. There always great events going on here for the lil ones and grown adults as well ..

Fun exhibits. Great hands on experience for families. Interactive topography table was very cool. Question some of the facts on display. Butterfly house was great.

Had a blast taking the kids here over Easter weekend. It was affordable and the whole thing was so cool how it is all interactive! They had the Butterfly exhibit when we went and it was so cool! My kids are ages 12, 11, and 9.

Great Lubbock attraction for all ages. I adore that they offer events for both children, adults, and Families.

We got the year-long pass for our family. It has been worth it, for sure. Our two-year-old loves it already, and we can tell there are tons of activities for her to grow into when she gets older.

The Science Spectrum was a fixture of my childhood, and remains the coolest hands-on museum Ive ever visited (including the Seattle Childrens Science Museum, and the Denver Museum of Natural Science). The IMAX has cool movies and there are traveling exhibits and events all the time to keep the experience fresh and new. Great for all kids, old and young!

Wish it was updated a little bit since my childhood... does it need more funding or what? Plus the animals look super lonely and sad in those super little enclosures... I wish I could help some how...

Would be 5 stars, but there were just a few too many downed exhibits and Im sure it was from kids going nuts on them so I understand the issue, but wouldve still liked to see how soke of the other exhibits worked. Next time!

I took several kids ranging from 1-7 and there was a little something for everyone. Some of the interactive exhibits were not in good order but most were great and easily accessible and understandable for kids. The live animal show was great. Parking is a bit tight so be ready for that.

I think the price is way too high to pay when most of the stuff is broken. And yes we have been there more then once. Everytime we go, most of the stuff is broken.

My boys are teenagers but they still enjoyed the experience and learned something new.

Its a neat place, it will keep kids busy for hours. They always have some exhibits or events going on. Sometimes they cost extra sometimes they dont its worth your time and the kids love it.

It was BUSY! We went for CritterFest so worth it! Saw a lion/tiger show. Got to pet adorable animals! Face painting and balloon animals!

It was great it was a cool experience to me because Im so used to a flat screen in front of me but this was like a dome screen imagine if it was 3D

I used to come here as a kid I was visiting from AZ and decided to bring my son. I still love the place, but a lot of the same activities where still there and some were broken. I wish someone could renovate this fantastic place.

Our entire family had a great time.

I took my son there for his second birthday. They are well-mannered and ready to help! The displays and such were amazing! Everyone from my 2 year old to his 12 year old cousin loved it! Thank you for a great experience!

Great trip for a family! Babies dont even get cranky because theres so much to look at/sit on/mess with. The movie was pretty cool, but there were certain displays that were obvious favorites of the older kids. Enough to do for several hours.

Came to Texas to visit family and we made a trip here. We spent hours here and there is so much to see and do. The kids absolutely loved it! Wish there was a science center this awesome in Michigan! Next time I visit, I will definately be coming back.

Fun for little ones, but lots of things are out if order and they charge a lot extra for movies and special exhibits. The butterflies were rather disappointing

Very fun and cool place to bring your kids. Not that expensive for what you get. Its also a perfect place to either have fun or host a birthday party.

Still the same wonder filled playground for learning that I remember as a child.

Membership is worth it if you have littles. The preschool area is wonderful. My kids love it. Down side is I have noticed there are always a few things that arent working throughout the museum.
