Pleasant surroundings, peaceful, great to just walk around. Some folks like to fish, others use small row- or paddle boats.The small Korean War Memorial has a nice setting on the front of a small hill near the roadway that passes through the park.Lots of hills, trees, pretty waters, and ducks.Make your own fun, or just bring a seat and enjoy nature.

A cute park with a lake and trails. There are also 3 different playgrounds and areas to grill. There is a tennis court. A koren war memorial. A nice area to to have fun and to relax.

Beautiful spot. We sometimes go kayaking there. Today we just went to feed the waterfowl.

Went to the South Park entrance. Looks like big progress made. Look forward to the Louisville Loop getting complete. Beautiful!

Besutiful park. My kiddo loved running through the entire lot enjoying the open field. Its well maintained and good for jogging and exercise.

Enjoyed walking the path along the lake. Great exercise! The park was clean and looked really nice!

This is a fantastic park. Plenty to see and do and it is well kept. They have 3 nice kids playgrounds as well as a tennis court and basketball courts. There are several gazebos around for a nice picnic area or gathering. Each one also has a grill and many picnic tables. Picnic tables are spread around so there is plenty of spaces to sit around the lake. All in all it was a fun and pleasant family experience and we will definitely come back regularly.

I take my kids hereI love to go to mcneely Lake its really good place to take a walk and just get away and look at nature. Its like a hidden gym around the city and its a great place to take your kids and go fishing. Its got a couple local parks. I take my kids here all the time definitely great place to go with the family.

Pretty park with several picnic tables, grills, and areas to hang out. You can fish and kayak too. Ive never caught any fish there myself.

Beautiful walk around the lake, usually not crowded. The dam and spillway are gorgeous! Dog friendly and clean. Not a lot of picnic tables, but plenty of places by the bank to stop and fish.

The ducks are pleasant. Nice sitting areas, but a lot of benches need revamping or replacing. Also very terribly littered. Im tempted to just go put my own littering signs up here, stating the obvious NO littering, I doubt people would even care still, honestly. Especially because of the amount of litter there.... its pretty sad I didnt even want to take pictures of it. :(

Great clean, quite park.It has a few entrances all were very well kept.Very clean and sanitized bathrooms for a park.I was impressed.

I catch my bluegill with castnet for bait for the river here. Always meet nice people coming in and out while Im cast netting off the boat ramp dock. I used to fish here but waaaay too many dang turtles cant keep bait on the hooks lol.

Nice little park not far outside of the Gene Snyder. There are many spots for picnicking and other recreation like tossing a frisbee or just hanging out. Nice little trail around the western part of the lake and past the dam all the way to Mt Washington Road.

Just a shame. Its is not taken care of. It is close for many people, and a good size lake. But just in awful shape. Both docks are broken. The concrete path was never completed. The benched, tables, etc... are dilapidated and ugly. The lake is full of trash, and loaded with nature debris. It could be such a beautiful park. It gets lots of use anyway because its close to so many ky residents. Come on Kentucky..... lets do better!!!!!!!!

Plenty of parking. Very nice fishing areas. Easy access. Lots of shade.

One of the best parks in louisville. BTW the address is not Cedar Creek Rd. If you follow this address you will be at a different park.This park with the lake is off of Cooper Chapel Rd. Next To Quail Chase Golf Course.

Very beautiful place to go to and relax, to be, gaze at water and/ducks, walk your dog, and fish. I didnt realize the lake was that large. We walked to 2 different docks and relaxed with our dog. I like that people are chill and respect that our dog has anxiety. My only complaint is that people should be more mindful of their waste - throw it away properly so you dont harm the animals, the ecosystem, nor water/marine life.

The parking and easy access to the foot paths. The foot path through the woods is shaded and not concrete which is better for dogs to walk on.

This is the best place to go to walk, play tennis and or take your dogs to the park. I recommend this place to anyone and yes there is a place for kids to play also.

Hiked 2 miles and caught good fish..Thats what its all about..

They have done a lot to clean it up since I was a kid and Ive lived around this area for years and thats why McNeely Lake Park is probably one of my favorite parks to go to

Main lake is overfished, and trash is a problem, but it us a beautiful quiet lake, great environment for families!

Ive been going/coming to this park since I was a child. Now I have children of my own. Me my dad and my brother used to troll around the lake in our little John boat and fish for most of the day. It was so cool and we had alot of fun. Have much more to tell about my visits here. Maybe another time soon Ill come back to finish some other stories... To be continued

Beautiful I absolutely Love this park. Ive been to the fanciest parks with high dollar play equipment, I have been to parks that only have one picnic table one tree and a walking track. But there is just something about McNeely lake Park that just keeps me coming back!!! The trails to the dam are my favorite. Its not too long nor short of a distance. When you hit the trails your not just walking trails you have a destination THE DAM, Which is tagged with new graffiti each time I visit. I love the art. And dont worry just because you hear the word graffiti doesnt mean theres a bunch of thugs because during normal park hours I have not seen any.

Older park, locals grew up around and reminisce, folks of all walks of life enjoy this park. variety of things to do; bring kiddos to play on one of the playgrounds, picnic, play tennis, play basketball, walk, see the wild life and the lake.

A nice place to bring the kid(s) to play and see the ducks. Wouldnt recommend getting in the water, though. The grounds are clean but the water is bad because some people dont know how to pick up after themselves.

Great place to get away within city limits. If nothing else just relax by the lake. Pleanty of swings and benches. Great little trails to walk on. Nice way to reconnect with nature.

Me & my grandaughter go there to feed the ducks, during the weekday and she loves it.After we feed them and walk around we go swing...it is a great time to spend with my little princess & the duckies enjoy our visit..Thanks!

So I took my daughter fishing for the first time today. I do not have a boat so was fishing from the shore. We went to a spot that I have fished before and had no problems but this time there was so much algae and muck we could not reel in with out taking 5 minutes to clear it off the line. They should do something about that. I will say I did catch 3 fish even with the slime

Not a bad park. Over run by ducks but who cares? Plenty of shore access to fish. The boat ramp isnt bad and the rest rooms were kept clean.

Fun little lake

It’s a beautiful park, I’ve been going here since I was a little girl with my parents. I hike and go for runs here. But having the police or park security watch my every move is very disturbing. Especially if I’m taking my friends or family members here to enjoy the park. Ease off.

Please can anyone bring garbage cans to McNeely lake theres garbage everywhere around the boat ramp

Located next to Quail Chase golf course. McNeely is a great spot to fish, picnic, take kids.

Beautiful lake and wildlife. Spent half my time cleaning up other peoples trash. If you need to use the bathrooms dont go here to use them. My daughter had to go and they were all locked. Guy cutting the grass said the plumbing was backed up and they were supposed to be bringing portable toilets and never did. 3 hours later and we are still holding it. They told us to call 311 for portable toilets. Shouldnt that be the parks responsibility? Didnt catch any fish but seen snakes, turtles, and ducks.

Great place for a walk in pure nature, need to bring bug spray. Trail is small and off the grid but has many paths and is really beautiful

Nice park with playgrounds and a walk path.Full of geese, cats, and chickens... I swear I am not making this up.

It was horrible. My mother and now step father had a wedding there. They offered to paint the privillion for FREE since it had graffiti on it and were denied because the park said so. There were bees and wasps EVERYWHERE, the benches were starting to break and not to mention people kept interrupting even though there was CLEARLY a sign saying that there was a wedding. I would NOT recommend coming to McNeely Lake Park until they clean it up! There are memorials there that have spray paint on them. It is a disgrace and its embarrassing to look at.

Could be nice but theres an even distribution of garbage throughout the park. If your interested it in catching sites of Budweiser, Mountain Dew, and Marlboro Reds discards this place will not disappoint.
