Beautiful foliage and weather. Another of our great parks with good hiking trails. Never too crowded either.
Its okay, other than the wait at the pumpkin show, 3 hours at the medium. The show is about maybe 15 minutes long, and It closes at 12:00PM (Nighttime). The least amount if hours you would wait is about maybe 1 hr. 30 mins. And.... The pumpkins were fantastic! It was 7 dollars a person, but totally worth it at the end.
I actually found this spot by complete accident but Im really glad I did. Its at the bottom of a long side walk and once you get there the view is pretty awesome. You can see parts of the city and really its best if you come here on a cloudless day
In what has turned into such an ugly city to live in, the overlook at this park gives you a completely different idea of it. It has such a beautiful, picturesque view of the city.
Nice, fairly easy paved trail that rewards with a nice view.
This was our first time here. We drove 7hrs to bring our grandson to this attraction. I would of loved to been able to walk instead of having to drive thru. Covid was to blame. The line of cars were massive and our wait time was 1 1/2 hrs but all so worth the time. I will come back another year when Covid is gone.
It was a very nice walk to workout and enjoy nature. It was a great change of scenery for the whole family. Also not many people walking around so you can keep your social distancing going on.
It s easy to get to. And to get thru...so one can just pop off and enjoy a quick lil break in the security of the forest
Pretty views. Moderate walk up to the overlook currently because the roads are closed but worth the walk!
It is a beautiful place to be and a even better place to bring loved ones. It would be even better if they hired me. Ive been trying to work here for years and change things for the better. The trials need to be cleaned and cleared of spiders and ticks. I almost got bit over a thousand times so never go in the woods at night without a light and proper foot gear. The Fence was a waste of time to put up and the look out use to be taller. Money wasted and I could have made it a lot better. 1 million dollars gone to waste. Its not 1 bathroom up top so please go before you make that long trip. Roads are bad be careful driving walking or skating. I love the park and want to make it better for all that comes. I am native American myself and why not be a part of a great place you know.
Great view of downtown when its clear
Awesome nature in midst of city. Great views of city and very peaceful walk or bike ride in the woods.
The overlook is sooo pretty. Although I didnt have my professional camera, I still came out with decent photos. There are parking spaces near the overlook so you dont have to walk very far, unless you would like to walk all the way up. The view was great as we could all see the skyline and the tall buildings. Its definitely worth the walk to get there. I recommend going at sunset.
Great View. Travel to the spot was difficult to get to due to blocked roads and closed trails.
My favorite place to do runs in the morning. really good leg workout.. lots of hills and inclines
One of my favorite places
The overlook was descent. Ive seen its better day, having more designed walkways from the first to 2nd tier
You have to walk up but the place is beautiful
Pumpkin festival this year by car wasnt nearly as good as walking last year
Love it great place to walk
Great place to enjoy the outdoors. At the bottom of Uphill Rd. there are about 8 parking spaces for those that want to walk to the Overlook. From there to the top is about 1.5 mi. of gradual incline. The view of the downtown and S. Indiana is nice on a clear day. 3 mile round trip walk is nice and if youre up for it, the walk around the park at the lower level is another good walk.
Its the best one of the best parks in Southside area.
Beautiful overlook in a very convenient park. You can drive and have a short easy pavement hike or park further away and enjoy a longer nature trail. Either way it is a great quick getaway that is good for the entire family. Plenty of rest stops along the way and different areas for the kids to play. Very friendly culture.bpeople you will meet are very friendly and respectful. The park is well maintained and very clean. This is family time that you dont want to miss!
Nice view and drive... good place for tourists
Best view of downtown Louisville and city overall.
Easy parking. The new walkway and overlook are very well done. Clean, updated, and modern park area.
Great place to walk dog highly recommend for some exercise
The best spot to View Louisville while experiencing nature.
Good view of the city. Nice parking lot if you decide to drive to the top instead of walking. The area is well kept and clean. One of my favorite places to pass a Saturday.
I’ve always loved the overlook, and since the remodel, it looks SO GOOD. Fabulous spot for pictures, as well.
Best View of the City PERIOD
Very relaxing and peaceful!
A great park to take the family. It has golf course, horseback trails, trails, the amphitheater, basketball courts. You can see downtown from the overlook. You can walk or run around the park. There is aleays something going on there, especially from spring through fall.
Went for a great walk around the park love it because it has little grades on the road so its not just a flat walk makes you exercise a little harder but not to hard if you had health problems
Very nice restoration (too long in coming) of this lookout. So sad to hear of it being defaced just after the re-opening though. Really hope south-enders (and visitors) can appreciate the improvements being made to this incredible gem of a city park.
Beautiful day to head up to the lookout!
Good place to take your lady.
Havent been to the overlook in years, but when I was there I could see my old schools, houses, and all of Louisville.
Its was cool saw some deer
Love this park...and have loved it since I was a child.....
Its a awesome place to run, walk or just relax with family or enjoy a basketball game, play tennis or just grill for fun...or even enjoy a great concert!
Beautiful views of the city up there!
Beautiful view well maintained
Nice park but needs a lot of maintenance. Kind of run down. New north overlook was nice. But theres not a lot of people up there ever, so if you go alone you dont always feel the safest.
So, so beautiful. You can drive your car almost all the way to the top before you have to walk a few hundred feet to the edge. I recommend this place if you want a spectacular view of the city.
Love how large the park grounds are. It consist of acres of medium to heavy wooded grounds, which provide awesome beginner and intermediate trails and paths. Theres even horse back riding/training option available. Hopefully the city continues preserving the iconic park for many years to come. Such a beautiful place to come and relax or go on a stress relief walk right in the heart of the southwest region of Louisville.Five stars.
A Wonderful place to enjoy Gods creation!
Love this place . Great view.
I hijacked the universe that day. Ride was bumpy, but great views
Yes went for my morning walk, nice weather and enjoyed it. Love Iroquois Park!
Beautiful scenery. A great place to see the sunrise and sunset over the city.
Enormous park with plenty of room for running, biking, walking, golfing, hiking and concert going!!!Only downside is slightly unkempt trails and occasional trash.
Love visiting this park!! But beware the ticks are bad this year. Last visit there I came home with 8 deer ticks and bites. So spray down before hiking.
Awesome views of the Louisville skyline. Definitely a great place to check out if in Louisville. Nice and peaceful park with great views, hiking, and many other amenities to keep you busy. The past is huge, and is party of the great Olmsted park system in Louisville. Definitely plan on checking this out while visiting.
Not like the past, but the changes are nice. Always love that park.
Great views.
Its a great place for me time
My 2nd home. Love this park
Reach the top and its a Pretty site of the city
Quite and perfect for running or biking.
Beautiful
Best view of the city. It is actually pretty spectacular in its panoramic view of one end to the other.Lived her 10 years didnt know a view like it existed here
Ive loved the view since childhood. Could be better taken care of given the restoration
Love it up there at Irquois Park overlook it is beautiful
Great view of downtown and Churchill Downs!
A descent attractive walk from the parking lot. Nice benches en route. The walk was well worth it. Great views of Louisville. A great place to take pictures.
Beautiful but dont expect to see thunder over Louisville from here
Great view of the city and surrounding area. It is a grand view that should be seen by all. Iriquios Park is a great gift for the people.
Holy land
Nice viewing
Newly renovated, scenic outlook of Louisville. One of our hidden secrets
Awesome location to over look Louisville!!! I personally proposed to my now fiance... Couldnt find a better location for the proposal. It was amazing!
Beautiful! Can see the city from the overlook
Absolutely beautiful
Great park with many possibilities for activities.
Love love this place! It’s a great reward when you are running up there. the view is worth it. the remodel was really good too!
Short paved walk to the overlook. Great view.
What a beautiful view
They have a little area to get wet in by water squirts. They even have a swing for the special love one that needs extra care. They do have bathrooms and hiking trails. They have a great walking/running area. They have a place where adults play frisbee. They have basketball goals. A gated net which I think is for volleyball? I love taking my kids here. People also take their dogs. Theres water fountains to think from as well.
Beautiful sight for the eyes...
First time back since they re did the overlook but i still love it.
Beautiful amazing place to see
Love it since they redid it. Beautiful views. But I wish they would clear the 1st look out at the curve.
Great short hike through the woods with an amazing and rewarding view.
