The smorgasbord was a great experience hidden near the downtown Skid Row area within something called now, The Row. It’s an excellent example of gentrification in the right direction. A young beautiful crowd gathers here families and individuals, communities all gathered around good food an human fellowship. The parking is free for the first hour and you can get validations from the vendors in the shops. This had the largest collection vegan and vegetarian food that I have ever experienced at a food festival.

Love this place!! Whatever kind of food youre craving you can get here! They have a parking garage attached to the market which makes it super easy & convenient to get to. They also have bathrooms that are guarded by security so they arent completely trashed and disgusting. We got pupusas and got some dried fruit from a little grocery market here. If I lived closer I would come here all the time. Great prices for great quality and tons of variety! Great stop for food while in LA.

Was pretty excited to see such a place in the middle of the DTLA. I was pretty excited but I wish they had more unique European street food instead of Asian and Mexican that can be easily find any other place. Was hoping for French crepes, street croissants with ham/turkey or smtg like this. I tried oyster bar and prawn place & coffee. Pretty expensive for street food we payed around $40 for 2. Dont know if Ill go specially there, didnt find anything extraordinary at this market.

Then its down to business. Hes clean! No complains there. I didnt even care that it was freezing because once I had that corn my tummy was warm and incredibly happy. Its worth the wait. A fun outdoor food spot at Row DTLA on Sundays from 10-4. If you want things before the long lines or they are sold out I suggest going early. A great spot to try a number of different food vendors. There’s also a beer garden and some small handcrafted shops to check out. There’s 2 hour free parking as well on Sundays so it’s worth the trip. The food is a wide array, from dumplings to ice cream to sea urchin and oysters. Also, mozzarella sticks and tacos and sandwiches. A number of places also accommodate certain dietary requirements, such as vegan. Worth a trip to downtown for on a Sunday!

Loved a couple of their items. loved their snores, some of their drinks like the strawberry horchata, mango passion fruit, strawberry and lavander lemonade, or prickly pear and raspberry lemonade. Their tacos were good, they had handmade tortillas but the vendor couldve been cleaner even their plates looked a bit dirty and they were paper plates . Beautifully wrapped macaroons and yummy dumplings. Convenient parking and good price for parking too. The parking structure even has restrooms although the they could be kept more clean given the many people visit specially during the weekend. açai bowls with wood spoons loved that some vendors had eco friendly utensils and / or reusable containers.

One of my many great food experiences is from my first New York trip in August 2016. We spent almost half of a day trying lots, and lots of delicious food at Smorgasburg. Therefor, when I found the same street food market in LA it was a no brainer to check it out! We arrived to Smorgasburg 15minutes before closing, therefor, we headed straight down to Lobsterdamus stall hoping for grilled lobster. But we were to late! Instead we had to satisfy with lobster truffle fries and lobster nachos. Pretty yum as well if you as me, especially the French fries! I’m a big fan of two cuisines: Asian & Mexican. So when I took my first bite of this little original Vietnamese styled taco, I went straight to food heaven! We got two pineapples boats and it was $34. BOY WAS IT WORTH EVERY PENNY. The shrimp was huge and they give a generous amount per boat, maybe 6-7 pieces? shrimp was perfectly marinated and fried, made it easy to eat with the tail, shell and all. The pineapples were fresh, you wouldnt believe. I wanted to eat the entire thing. Macaroni salad was decent but the rice was banging. I wish I could drench the rice in the garlic sauce.
