Always a great time! Me and a few vet buddies come together to have fun, exercise and check on each other! We play the short 9 because its short enough to walk and not long enough to get mad, we breathe the open air, total about 6000 steps, exercise our upper bodies and continue to build on the foundation that brought us together. A great way to get up and get out!

Great public course. Must play when in LA. Good course to walk. Don’t bother with a cart and enjoy the walk. Par’d 18 both times I played. Better than Arnie.

Close from Los Angeles and Santa Monica.Courses are fun. Little hills and valleys. Personally like to play at twilight after it cools off and sunset on from the 9th hole is amusing.Recommend it, but I hope it does not get too popular. its hard to reserve tee off already.

Great early morning round at Rancho Park.We were the first group off and never saw anyone in front or in back of us.The course was well manicured and taken care of. Greens were a little slow which costs me a couple of birdies . Fairways and greens = birdies and pars. Thank you!

This public course is incredibly packed. If you don’t have a tee time, don’t bother coming unless you plan on just hitting the range. If your a two some be prepared to golf with another pair. The course is great and a great deal for the 16 dollars it cost to play. It’s history once again drives in a constant crowd. The practice area is above average with chipping and putting. The range is average with targets but nothing special.

Absolutely horrendous experience start to finish! I made a reservation for my boyfriend’s birthday cuz it’s favorite thing in the world. They took my credit card over the phone to reserve a tee time for the par 3 and the reservation specialist specifically said when I asked if they rent clubs since we don’t have ours in town: “yes ma’am we do, we rent per club. No golf carts for par 3 but could rent a hand Cart for $5.” I said yes that’s perfect reservation and will rent clubs and hand cart there. All excited to treat my boyfriend to a day at the course we show up to be told by the pro shop attendant that club rentals are not happening. He said “nothing I can do for you. I don’t care what they told you on reservations. They are wrong. Not doing club rentals.” How embarrassing and horrific when you plan someone’s birthday. There were not even clubs to purchase. Nothing. And the guy didn’t care at all and didn’t help. When I tried calling to speak to customer service regarding the misleading information and inaccuracy which ruined his birthday they also said noting we can do- there is ALWAYS something that can be done to make right of a wrong. I’ve had free rounds at fancy golf courses. This is a cheap public course and the least they could do is make things right. I’m disgusted by how rude they are and how they don’t have trained educated Individuals making the reservations. ZERO STARS!!!! You lost a customer for life!

There arent that many golf courses in the west la area. Especially for a reasonable price. Ive been going here for years since Ive lived in the area and honestly the course isnt maintained the best (on the par 3 course) which is the only reason I gave it 4 stars. If I were to rate just the 18 hole regular course itd be 5 stars for location and price. For the par 3 course its convenient for most people like me who arent Woods and have to make time to play a stress relieving game. It is perfect for brush ups and those warm ups in between the 6-12 month stretch where our clubs are collecting spider webs in the closet

Rumor has it that you should hurry up and get here as its slated for remodeling this is old la with a great deal of charm. I dont think anythings changed here since 1962ish.... not much of a morning drinker myself but more than one golfer avail themselves of the $10 bloody Mary typical to slightly better-than-average hash House breakfastbut if you like the basics of bacon and eggs and a decent buttermilk pancake and then OK side of fruit with a nice view of the driving range this is your place. Lovely leisurely comfortable spacious well-lit and efficient friendly service

For a busy course it was in excellent condition (late November), especially the greens. Its not too hard but has some nice undulations and quiet corners where you forget youre in the middle of LA. Great food in the clubhouse too, plus lots of cool history few munis can offer. The only slightly bad thing for me was mediocre hire clubs for $30 and I know it can be very slow to get around - at 7am on a Monday I was fine though.

Mi
Review №53

The course is long and narrow and lined with trees, the fairways were in pretty good condition and the greens are undulating, small and not very fast.....Tee time was noon and we finished 5 1/2 later. The parking is long and narrow just like the course. I ended up walking around 400 yards with my bag up hill to get back to the pro shop.. There is a 2 tier driving range that was extremely crowded, better get there at least an hour early if you want to hit balls...

Less crowded than the last time I’ve been here. The fairways and greens alike have been well kept than previous years. The driving range (newly renovated) can get a little packed (but quick to find a spot) in the daytime; your own closed out stall which makes it even better for the self-cautious player or those who want to zone in without any distractions.

Some of the slowest golf in the world. Bring your chessboard, your headphones and infinite patience. The course needs marshals, high quality starters and a lot fewer golfers. There’s a cool plaque at the 18th tee box to one of Arnold Palmer’s worst holes of golf ever- he shot a nine on an easy 5-par in a national tournament there before your Daddy was even born.

St
Review №82

The 9 hole chip and putt plays exactly as its name states. Its a relaxed, enjoyable place to work on ones short game. Or, just to enjoy. As a public course, fees are reasonable, but lacks the attention that private, and on more expensive clubs get and a couple of the greens needed some attention to play well. Part of that is the golfers not taking responsibility to fix divots that they make when their balls land on the greens, but they can be better maintained by the greenskeepers. For golfers who are interested in practice and well as those purists, a realbarrier to play is having to hit off a mat on every tee. I dont feel that helps anything except hitting off a mat. It doesnt even seem to help the grass grow as the grass around the tees are the thinnest and are consistently brown. Also, one should be aware that many youngsters come to learn the game in classes held during the summer. Theres also soccer golf which is coincidental with regular Golf and played on the same course. Even so, its not difficult to get up on the First Tee and play through if you want a quick 9 holes. Everyone I have encountered here was polite and allowed golfers to play through if THEY wanted to take more time around the course.

St
Review №83

I can only comment on the driving range because I havent golfed the full course yet. That being said, its a double decker driving range with a lot of the bottom stalls being reserved for instructors, that can be a good thing if you want to learn more about golf but it can be a hindrance if you just want to get in there and get your drive on.
