This is a great church to visit and to be part of! They do a good job of welcoming people, they have amazing worship music, and the teaching is explained well and encouraging. There is some 4 hour free parking on some of the streets. Go early and get in line because it fills up almost every service.

Excellent church. Worship feels inspirational and the pastors are on-point. First started coming in 2018, but have come more recently and like the people that I am surrounded with, who are very inclusive. Pastor Houston is also really good.

This church teaches false doctrine! Stay as far away as possible from these demons!

Let me just say, I needed this! So happy that I was able to drop by Hillsong LA during my time here in LA, I highly recommend stopping by, it’s always good to find a church to go to even during vacation! The pastor, worship team and staff are all awesome and welcoming!

Excellent time of worship and a beautiful message today in LA! Coming from out of state, I knew we wanted to come to this church, but we were a bit nervous- going downtown LA in a Sunday was better than we expected! Parking lot was right next to the theater. The theater where church was held was absolutely beautiful. We also went to lunch at District Market. Wonderful day!

Ive been coming to Hillsong for a few months. Its for the most part, just a mellow get together with hints of church in it. The pastors spend too much time making jokes, than speaking the word of God. They are too vague when speaking of us to repent for our sins. They dont even specify which ones because they are too afraid of offending someone. I dont know why.The service on Jan, 12th 2020, the pastor was hungover or something because he would trail off about the arts district and that high rises are being built, and then closed the session by saying Jesus was an artist. What is going on??Unless the other session times are different, the 10am is just a party for newcomers or people who dont like church.

Brian and Ben Houston are the lead pastors from Hillsong Church LA. Brian from global ministry and Ben from regional ministrys..pastor ben brought an amazing message on going deeper in our spiritual Walk with Jesus..The church service is in downtown LA off of Hill Street in a theater were your senses both audio and visual explode as the band plays and the message is brought in easy to digest manner.. very down-to-earth..An absolute must visit when youre in the area..

Lately the preaching has been more of a stand up comedy show SO DISAPPOINTING! God is not a joke! Come on somebody PREACH IN THE HOLY SPIRIT!!! The worship is always amazing.

Amazing church experience with a fabulous core group of volunteers. People made me feel like part of the church from the get go. I really miss the crew! Ive moved a little further away but as soon as Im able to I will be attending the evening services again. Their services are at 10am 12am 6pm and 8pm so no excuses to miss church people! You can fit it into your busy schedule easily.The womens evening was one of the best services I have ever attended EVER and will remain in my heart for many years to come (I think its 1 evening a month). Just thinking about it alone gives me goosebumps. Being in the room with all those sisters singing their hearts out was unreal beyond words and overwhelmingly healing. I wondered maybe thats what heaven will be like all the beautiful souls singing and praising.They have a connect group after the morning and 12 service where you can meet other new attendees and introduce yourself. After 4 weeks you can join the team of volunteers. When I came to LA I was so shy, didnt want to speak anyone but this soon changed because the volunteers made me feel so welcome as if i was returning home so i was able to open up and share with others.

Love Hillsong LA, everytime I go I keep to myself, hardly talk to anyone but Im there to worship and listen to the word of God and not make friends. I love the church, I wish they had more activities that would involve more people to keep the community together such as support groups, celebrate recovery.

I love this place because the people choose to love you. When the intention is a choice the level of generosity exceeds expectation. From the moment you walk through the doors you feel the love and presence of God. It is a wonderful place if you have children of all ages. The practical wisdom, teaching and care for the People of God is authentic, compassionate, and sincere.

I love Hillsong Church and all the people who help there. They are friendly and helpful. I made few friends over there when I arrived on LA

I was visiting LA on vacation and could not miss the opportunity to experience a Hillsong service. All I can say is, by the end of it, I wanted to move to LA and join the church. My friend and I are 24 so we went to the 8pm service, which exceeded our expectations. You could tell we werent locals, yet everyone made us feel SO welcome. The message and music were incredible, honestly best service Ive ever been to. You can tell God has a sense of humor, the focus of the message was something my friend and I both struggle with-- we needed to hear it. Cant wait to come back! Thanks again Hillsong United

The worship is authentic and heartfelt. Lots of young folk in their 20s and a few young families if youre looking for a young church. So far, Ive not had many disagreements in the messages, but its bound to happen to anyone since were only human. They incorporate the Bible into their messages like any traditional church, but trust me- this is no traditional church. There are opportunities to join connect groups, which is wonderful since its too big a church to meet everyone. You really feel like youre a part of something huge! Ive only been a month now, but I look forward to being in Gods presence every Sunday at Hillsong LA.

Hillsong church has always been a great place to worship. Every talk gives every attendee a reason to go back and have a connection and personal relationship with God.

I was really at a low point and I went to Hillsong. I had asked people to go with me but went by myself. As I was in line a group of younger people were in front of me. I guess I looked sad & one of the guys asked if it was my first time. We started talking & they had me sit with them. During one song I started crying & the whole group hugged me. Duing the whole service they made sure I was ok. Best church ever! Wish they had one in Texas!As to JON DAMIEN, I am truly sorry you had that experience. As Christians we are supposed to love one another. We dont have to approve or like your lifestyle, but it is not for us to judge. We are supposed to be like Christ, not to think we are. Jon, you are loved & I am very sorry you had a horrible time. I am grateful you went to church & when I am back in LA I would be PROUD to go to ANY church with you! May God bless you & help you forgive ignorant people who pose as Christian because Jesus would NOT accept that behavior! If your ever in Texas, I will take you to a great church here!

One of the best decisions I have made being in LA. I have been attending this church for 2 years now, and it is truly home. There is a great community of people to go through life with, free of judgement. The praise and worship segments are very uplifting and the messages thoughtful.

Cool experience to visit here. Great worship. Get there early because you have to wait in line to go in. Parking lots right around the theater are $5 for church goers. Incredibly kind ushers and members!

ILUMINATIS WANTS TO TAKE THE CONTROL

We have been huge Hillsong Worship fans and were so excited to be in a California so we could attend a service. We were surprised when we entered the auditorium at the downtown LA location the smell was not good. We understand it was an old building though. As people started entering and the worship team started singing, the overwhelming smell of weed was ridiculous and not what you would expect at church. Two of the four of our group were recovering addicts and it was so strong and wasn’t going away or lightening after the 4-5 worship songs so we decided to leave at that point. I understand that it’s legal in California, but you don’t except people to be drinking or drunk at church, just as we didn’t expect to get a contact high at church. This isn’t Hillsong’s fault, and they did ask us as we were all walking out of there was something they could do. We absolutely loves the worship and the prayer that we did get to see and were disappointed to not be able to hear the whole service. We hope Hillsong can obtain a better location and accommodate everyone in recovery and still using. For now, we maybe watch online instead!
