How can you not love a big park? Its different from other urban parks like Central Park because it gives the feeling that you are really truly separated. One of my favorite weekend activities is to take a long stroll and there are few better places. I live so close and I try to take advantage of this part as much as possible.

They need to remodel this place, the floor is so bad you or your kid can fall down. Is a lot of homeless at the parking lot and sometimes is nobody in the park just them. I got a really bad experience last time I was there. I was in the swing with my baby and somebody approached from behind and took a lot of pictures of us. I ask him to not do it and to delete it but he ran away. I was there and it was empty nobody else at the playground. So I got a little scared and left and haven’t come back.

This unique park has really helped me get through this tough time. Being homeless the bathrooms are almost always open. When nobody else would let you use the restrooms Palms park was there for us. The staff is relaxed even though the park & library is very busy. I give the park 5 stars.

They mix up the weekly activities with different themes and field trips so it isnt repetitive. JR and Robyn are phenomenal at running the camps and in my opinion, Laura is the best Rec Center director in the LA Parks system. All the counselors are a reflection of the example the leaders set. They are nurturing and enthusiastic with the campers and teach great social skills and interpersonal respect. We could not have imagined a better Summer Camp.

Great place to take your children. They offer many different classes or activities for kids. I have enjoyed the Fun with Food class with my 4 year old. An added bonus is the library which is located in the same corner so after a long day at the park you can head over and cool down and relax. There are also numerous dog walkers that use the trails behind the park, so if your child likes dogs this is the place to be

One of the places I visit often with my son. Clean, near the freeway with a bit of everything. Playground, basketball court, place to exercise, football court, a little green area to enjoy nature. Also, has barbecue area for events. Library is right there too, as well as a preschool.

A nice little park. Not enough parking though. A bit crowded sometimes. Good place to let my 14month old boy run his energy out. A bit small though when they are using a big chunk of it for soccer games. Nice playground for younger kids. A couple of homeless persons tents hidden in the bushes by the edges... But thats hard to avoid these days. They gotta live somewhere. I just dont want my baby boy running into their tents. Overall a very nice little park.

Yeah this park is GREAT. Dont anyone listen to that Jeremy Cruz guy because this park isnt all about friggin basketball! Its about having fun and playing with friends! The recreation centers basketball program looks fine to me and all, but I have one suggestion. The park should add a height measurement system for the exercise equipment, because I usually see little kids on that equipment and that big sign right next to them saying that only ages 14 and up can use them. Or you can at least add a guard if theres too much of a hassle. Have fun at this wonderful park! And enjoy the library too, you should always read.

Yeah this park sucks. They said they would call the right calls and tell the referees to watch the game closely. But they dont call it. People in the red shirts do not do anything. So when they say they will handle it, all there gonna handle is their mom. Especially Matt thats who did not do his job correctly and needs to be kicked off or something for not doing his job. If youre going to volunteer then please do it correctly.
