Stopped here to see the Center. Obviously it was closed and crowd control gates from keeping us getting close. It was pretty neat to see the entrance of the Center the various sports players that were made into statutes, and the sad portion of seeing flowers left for Kobe that was tied to the gate on his birthday, which is when I was there.Although we could not get into the stadium it was still worth it to stop by and just see the outside.

Excellent seats, Kings won! Quite handily I might add. The fire works/laser show was quite nice, all the staff were informative, personable and really nice. The entire facility is clean and well maintained, so bravo to all who have a hand in that very often (thankless) position. We had a great time! Outside Staples were a variety of beautiful displays, a functioning ice rink, a very large selection of nice restaurants to choose from so its definitely a great night out.

Went to Golden Gate Fields for the first time after seeing a commercial for dollar day and the Doxie Derby. I have three doxies so I just had to go. Not knowing what to expect I was surprised at how nice everything was. We were sent to a window where we learned how to bet on the horses, that was very helpful because we had no clue how it all worked. We had so much fun from making our bets on our favorite horses to watching those adorable racing doxies eating hot dogs and walking down to look at all the beautiful horses. Cant wait to go back!!!

Bittersweet review. This review is for last February. I was one of the lucky chosen few to score tickets to the memorial of one of my childhood idols, Kobe Bryant. So some friends and I made the drive down from the Bay Area to pay homage.Walking up to STAPLES was a sight to behold. STAPLES and the surrounding areas were all blocked off from the public. There were police and security everywhere, several metal detectors, and they checked our tickets several times. No one who wasnt supposed to be there was getting in for sure! All the while, the media was everywhere, and there were a lot of helicopters above the arena. On to the memorial. The mood was electric, but somber, if that makes sense. We were each given a pin, t-shirt, and program as we walked in. The speaker list was kept secret, so we didnt know what to expect. It started off with some videos of Kobe and Gianna, and the tears already started to form. We went on to hear from Vanessa Bryant, Shaq, and others. My personal favorite speech was from Michael Jordan. And as far as Vanessa goes, she delivered an amazing eulogy, and it was remarkable that she was able to keep it together. All in all, this was an amazing event that went off without a hitch. The planning and organization was impeccable. I feel so fortunate to have won tickets, and this was an event that Ill remember for the rest of my life.

You need to gamble there, otherwise its just not that fun. Get there early because the lot fills up pretty fast. And put your bets in early because the lines can get a bit crazy, although I like to have a look at the horses just prior to the race to see if their feisty.

Most concert venues close off the stage view, making the balcony seats on the sides impossible to see anything. Whether it was a smart set up by the musicians team or the venue design itself, I’m not sure, but my side view seats have me a fantastic view of the concert. Everything was very clean, and security was well organized in a way that made it quick but also left me feeling safe.

We were traveling from Calgary through California and were fortunate enough to catch the Flames’ behind the scenes in LA at their morning practice skate and game versus the Kings. Minus the fact that our team got spanked 5-1, the Staples Center experience was great. We usually go there for hockey. But, this time we were treated to a Monster Jam invading the Staples Center! It was a packed house! you would be amazed at what those trucks can do in an arena that size. I think the pictures that Ive offered might give a little explanation. Outstanding fun for the entire family. Kids of all ages love Monster Jam.As far as the arena is concerned, its nothing special. Its almost outdated already, really. Theres some Arenas that are better for the fans for both hockey and concerts not too far away. I hate to say it, but The Fortress in Las Vegas where the Golden Knights play is a much better Arena. Its just more fan-friendly. Parking is better, the concessions are more easily accessible from wherever your seat is and The Park outside the arena is a nice place. At Staples Center parking is a nightmare, the concessions are more difficult to get to and the LA Live area outside its probably the only thing thats better at the Staples then at the Fortress. Sorry, Kings fans...
