This place is affordable and wonderfully unique! Its a great place for large parties too. IMHP, dont bring the picky eaters here. I did and they ended up picking at the paella. =( One of the best things about this place is that you have so many other options to do/see after your meal!! What a treat!
Beautiful interior! Security was thorough, efficient, and friendly. Bar was easy to get to and the Id check+ wristband to buy alcohol was fast as well. Bathrooms were clean and well stocked. Sound was perfect! Bring some earplugs to protect your ears. Definitely looking forward to my next show here.
I ate and I ate and I ate...well beyond my full capacity, and STILL ordered dessert! I could have said no thank you. I could have politely declined. Heck, I could have pushed the plate away after my dinner was done and declare my complete and utter satisfaction with every morsel of my meal!
Our first time there and it turned out to be an awesome venue with very strange art/decor. We had general admission tickets so we got there early enough to stand on the higher platform on the side. I think we would have had an awesome view from anywhere in the space though! Valet cost $35 and lasts until 12am if you want to hang out in the area. We didnt but it was still good to know.
Easy to park in the lot next door, organized security procedures, good views inside, with great acts. I havent had anything from their bar. The sound mixing and levels are usually great. I love the huge crazy Bosch characters on the walls!!!
Very spacious, first time there and it was amazing! There is a balcony where there are seats and a cool patio area. Parking is 25$though right next to the theatre and it is valet, but I opted for the parking garage about a 5 minute walk from the theatre which wasnt bad since you get to go down hollywood blvd.
This theater holds small concerts with different vibes. Its young, hippy and comfy, I went here for Tiffany Young concert, a member of SNSD Korean music band. I like the care free vibe here with not too big or too small standing area for the audiences, good lighting good sound. The bar area offers alcohols, handy to grab and come back to the concert. Parking is expensive but unavoidable since this is LA downtown.
Really nice concert venue, sound system is excellent. Ive seen a lot of bands play here, but most recently saw Intronaut and Cult of Luna play. The bands were killer and the crowd was really into it; had a nice mosh pit, nothing fancy but really chill. The bathrooms are alright and they have a decent bar. Parking lot right next door if you dont mind paying, but there is also plenty of street parking around if you are adventurous.
Hadnt been here since the Cramps spot lighted the stage in 03. Theyve really improved every aspect from the lighting to the service. It was my dates 1st time attending a concert here and he was blown away. We had a blast. Security was so nice too even though we didnt realize some areas were off limits we were treated with courtesy.
Great venue! You can easily see the stage from most vantage points and the sound is good. I recommend GA tickets in front of the stage so you can get up close. My only complaint is the beers are expensive at $14!
The Fonda Theatre was an awesome place to go to see a concert by a pretty cool band. The venue itself is a little smaller, leading to that intimate feel you wont find in any stadium-style arena. Getting that close to the artists makes for a much better experience in my opinion. I was in the standing room on the floor, which was great, but there are also balcony seats overhead if youd prefer to be seated during the performance. The foyer is a little dim and the bathrooms arent extremely clearly marked, but theyre just in the side of the foyer. The bar is also close to all the action, if thats your thing. Parking is easy to find and nearby to the theatre.
Excellent venue to see a show. They even have seated balcony for us old folks. It is pretty small so it seems intimate. The bar is expensive and the bathroom is tiny though. But it all was clean and the staff was nice.
Ive gone to two concerts at the Fonda and I have to say, this is probably the best place to go for any concert. The price is $30+ for the groups I wanted to see and you were able to sit down on the balcony or go down to the floor. I loved how interchangable to seating is and that they have this wonderful outdoor rooftop setting on the second floor.Employees are polite and knowledgable so they were always of great help if needed. Everyone knew what they had to do so getting in line for these concerts are quick and easy. The bar was so-so. Id recommend just sticking with their pricey beers because their cocktails are very diluted and not very good.
Great venue! We had a blast! Had a great view fomr the balcony. Also enjoyed the open air bar on the roof. We will definitely be seeing more shows here.
Who knew how badly West Hollywood needed a seafood restaurant.? The food is always great and it’s a wonderful policy that it’s a mix of reservations along with walkins. I can bring out of town guests here as well as coming here for a casual dinner with friends. I hope this place never leaves.
Spacious, doesnt get too crowded great cooling system. You can dance all you want without a drop of sweat!
Didnt really go in, just parked there to see the Hollywood walk of Fame..
Great venue for live music!Amazing sound and intimate atmosphere.Perfect place to see a show.
It was incredible! The place has restrooms and a bar. A staff on the balcony level was really cool and social.
Nice venue. We enjoyed our time there. They opened doors a bit past the time they said they would but not sure what happened. Drinks were pricey but good.
Fun place for sure, love the open air lounge on the roof.. looks to be some history here..
This is a really neat venue. Very intimate and small venue so you really get to experience the event at its best. That is if the performance is good. Saw grandson here last night and he absolutely crushed it!
Went to The Rose Paint It Rose Tour at the Fonda and it was perfect! The venue was beautiful and the guards were able to handle a hundred plus screaming teenage girls. I cant wait to attend next year and see The Rose perform again! ⚘⚘⚘
Great sound and not a bad view in the theater. Flew here from Chicago for this show and was NOT disappointed.
Beautiful place, friendly staff AND security, theres a restaurant/ bar that shares a common wall and open up to concert goers and theyll give you a wrist band to re-enter the theater if you decide to visit the bar. The venue is shockingly small but intimate which is nice. Everything was clean and bathrooms RIGHT in front so no searching, no stairs, no confusion. Parking is at the LA fitness parking structure behind the theater about 200 feet, 4 floors, $15. street parking is 2 hour only until 12am so dont bet on or try street parking. When leaving the parking structure turn right, dont even try to turn left otherwise youll back up the entire structure before you realize youre not turning left no matter what or who you think you are, this goes for you Mercedes and BMW drivers who share bedrooms and act rich but cant afford McDonalds. I do 5 to 10 concerts a year and this is in my top 3, cant wait to visit again!
Intimate setting for a concert is so much better than a gigantic crowd. Pink Sweat$ was BEYOND amazing.
Great sound comes from the set up. My oldest son (15) got to enjoy his first concert there. Ill definitely be back
Nice intimate venue with good sound acoustics if you dont mind the lack of seating. Easy access from freeway and plenty of close parking.
Nice old school Hollywood feel, with zero old school Hollywood pest problems thankfully. Great staff and plenty of parking right next to as well as across the street from the venue. Had an attached restaurant which is a separate business you can access without technically violating the no ins and outs rule, plus an access/workman area behind the building where they allow customers to smoke or vape. Clean bathrooms and nice ambiance. Not sure if they ever put seats in there but for GA its perfect
The venue is cozy and intimate. Entrances and exits are well planned out. Security is even kind enough to hold unallowed items during show. However parking isn’t necessarily ideal, I was charged over twenty dollars for the night. Other than that I had a great time watching my fav artists perform. These were taken at a Cuco concert, there’s the man himself and another pic of the opening band Los Retros.
Great sound, ambiance, and overall experience. Staff was quick and friendly.
The balcony seating was perfect. We could see everything from up there. I would definitely return to see another concert there.
I love this venue ...been there 3 times in 2019 and more to come...sound system its ok the stage lighting is also ok cool venue
I saw half•alive there and it was AMAZING! I loved every second of my first ever concert and i would definitely go again :)
This venue is pretty cool.
The Theater is eccentric inside. There definately is a unique ambiance about this place.
Nice venue. Intimate. Can see from every angle. Nice place to go out with friends to have a good time! Best place for YBN Cordae concert. It was off the chain!
Older theater // Perfect venue to see a band. Bar lines go quick // Womens restroom is a tight squeeze. Saw Sofi Tukker here - perfection!
Great place to watch live shows. Good seating and sound.
Grand old theater, the acoustics were amazing! Scars on Broadway brought the rock and blew the lid off The Fonda!
Intimate music venue in the heart of Hollywood, USA. Respectably priced drinks for Hollywood, cool retro decor, and the rooftop smoke area w/ bar gets lit during the opening to main act break. Very huge to cult favs. LA staple.
Awesome the stage is a decent size and there is a lot of room to move
Went to the Aquabats on a weekend evening. We sat in the balcony and had a great view of the stage and the crowd below. It was a fairly full show but I never felt crowded.
Good venue, small enough to see the band, big enough for a full stage show. Great sound and lights for Markus King.
Great venue with views from all angles, not a bad spot. Great sound as well! Overall fantastic
Great venue, the perfect size! Views from any location feel close enough to the stage, sound is great, drinks are overpriced as you would expect.
Anamanaguchi is one of my favorite bands glad I got to catch one of their shows here!
One of my favorite places to see a concert. With all the huge concert halls in LA it is hard to find a small place. This place is great and you get to see medium to big artists there. Parking is everywhere and they make it really easy to get in. You can be down and close or chill out and sit up stairs. Great place
Great show with the Emotional Oranges! Cant complain much about the venue.
This is a great venue to watch your favorite performer.
Best place to catch a rock show in Hollywood. Booze up next door and get your fix for live music at the one and only Fonda. It doesn’t get any better.
One of the best mid-sized venues to see a show. Great acoustics and just the right size - big enough to draw mainstream acts, but small enough where you can see everything. Ive been here many times and never had a bad experience! Security just involves going through metal detectors. Park in nearby lots for 10 bucks. Cocktails are about 11 dollars.
The building and decorations are really neat. Great concert venue.
Absolutely loved this venue! Wish i had more time to enjoy the outside patio!
Great space to see a show... up close and personal! Drinks also not too pricey compared to other venues. In between acts, take a trip up to the open-air rooftop to lounge.
Saw queensryche here. Acoustics far exceeded expectations. Great place to see a metal band
Fantastic intimate venue! Youll see a bar when you enter but PRO TIP, keep walking. Everyone stops at the first bar they see and the bar on the stage side is way empty. Way more kept than I thought (being in the heart of Hollywood) 5 stars. (Disclaimer - I didnt not visit the restrooms during my visit)
Small-ish venue with a good vibe. Great sound. Interior is beautiful. Ive heard the rooftop smoking area is amazing with amazing sound but Im a cripple and couldnt go up. The Blue Palms next door is great for pre-show food and drinks
Nice sized venue for concerts. Saw Dave Navarro and friends perform 1st Stooges album and Ziggy Stardust album in their entirety. Lots of great performances including Mike Garson!
Awsome place, except for some homeless people hanging around, we gave him a quarter and he threw back at us
Great venue to see your favorite bands
Loved the venue. Clean bathrooms, great service. Overall experience was the best from a concert venue (theature) that Ive been to so far. Keep up the great work!
Great bar service, very anesthetic old theater, very pleasant, enjoyable, will love to come back for any event.
I love this place was clean good organize a lot safety, bar and drinks, also free drink we get
Great venue. Fyi, strict security (bag check, metal detector) and they even made me throw my gum away. But good sound and great medium sized space to see your fave bands and artists
Lots of parking available and easy to find/access from the freeway. There are some food locations around for a pre show meal however most are closed by the time you leave, so I recommend eating before. Gas prices are high nearby so I would also recommend not filling up here. The theater has a bar and both a standing floor as well as balcony sections. They dont overcrowd too much so it makes for a comfortable viewing experience. Sound was great and was an overall fun concert venue!
Great staff and a security team that knows whats up. We have fun and stay safe
Theres a surprisingly large dance floor here, and seats upstairs during concerts! Be aware that they have a no re-entry policy, but at least they have a bathroom attendant.
I luv this place! Never a dull moment. Its an intimate location.
Saw Metronomy there; was first time and LOVED IT
Great venue! Beautiful old theater. No seating in the main area. There are seats, some with tables, in the balcony, but it looked like people had camped out for the seats with tables. A large open air second floor patio for chilling and smoking with cabanas and a cool view.
Was my daughters first concert and she had a blast
Cool Venue! Neat artetecture and stellar mood lighting!Came here for an Alec Benjamin concert and had a total blast!
Was there for the Gogol bordello show, awesome venue! Good sound, great staff and bartenders! Probably now one of my favorite venues in town.
Really neat venue with the most bizarre artwork wallpapered on the walls (see photo of harp through buttocks).
Dont buy a beer, just wait for someone to spill one all over you. Much cheaper that way.
There venue is located in a great part of Hollywood. I often get lucky with street parking and in around the location. The venue itself is ornate, historic, and intimate. Ive seen a few shows here and attended a few events in this space, and Im always impressed with the venue and the sound quality. The venue doesnt have the greatest lighting technology, but this doesnt seem to impact the types of shows or intimate experience that it does cater to.
Great venue for an evening of conversation with Russell Brand and David Lynch.
Awesome place for a concert. We got to see Mr. Bungle here on 2/6/2020
I saw Sigrid live and it was amazing, really nice clean small theater. I would definitely come back here for another show.
Incredible venue. unlike any other Ive experienced in Los Angeles. I cant wait to go back here
Awesome venue besides the crazy expensive refreshments.
A great venue for a fun night out. We saw Inna here and we had a good time! It felt very intimate and entertaining z the drinks at the bar were good.I don’t fallow what shows they have here but the room is great for big parity!
Very cute little concert venue! Wherever you’re standing you’re probably going to get a good view. The drinks are pretty expensive and week. Parking is available right by the venue (20 dollars) but if you park a little further and walk you’ll probably save 10 dollars.
Good band, nice venue, but $36 for two small rum & cokes...Im done!
AWESOME CONCERT VENUE ️
Interesting decoration. Had a great time at the concert last night.
Saw the Rival Sons there. Great place to watch a band! Its small and the sound is perfect and youre close to the band! Parking is easy nearby! Only drawback is that the restrooms are very small!
Came here to see an African artist DiamondStreet parking is limited, parking next to the building is $20. Venue was clean & a full bar
The Fonda is a great mid-size venue in Hollywood. Its a block away from the train station, theres plenty of parking around, lots of good dinner options before shows... Its truly an easy place to navigate. The sound is really great, whether youre on the floor or balcony. You can easily maneuver yourself into a good sight line and its super fun to dance on the dance floor. The rooftop is a rarity for any venue in Los Angeles, and its certainly rare for Hollywood. Youll find good views from that rooftop, and they also project the show up there as well as the sound from the concert so if you need a break from the crowds, its a nice place to get away. This is what makes it my favorite venue in L.A. Many others provide an outdoor space, but normally youre in an alley or somewhere more dodgy - but not here! Theres never too long of a line at the bars either, now that I think about it. Or the restrooms - there are some on each floor! As far as the music goes, Ive seen so many good acts here - Sofi Tukker, Metallica, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Thom Yorke, Soulwax, Charlotte Gainsbourg - and thats just in the last year alone. Coming up Im excited to see Rostam and Phoenix! Not only all this but the Hollywood history of the building is really cool. I personally love the outrageous Bosch wallpaper. Give the history a Google!
I love it, the concert was pretty good, with friends and family ..the place has an architecture of the late 1920s beautiful...
Really nice place to party, bad drinks but I had good time in a 80 prom Party
Staff was fantastic. They need to try and upgrade their ADA section.
