Another Roadside Attraction. Cute little bridge between two trees for squirrels to cross the street. Must have been a project from a class at the nearby Lower Columbia College to pull off such amazing engineering hanging such a tiny bridge between trees with ropes.I pulled off the highway for this?

A delightful bit of whimsey and a nice detour if passing down the 5. Also a cool logging train on display in the park next door.

Not much to say, except this is apparently the worlds only squirrel bridge, which is pretty neat. Also a squirrel statue to commemorate the man who did things including making this squirrel bridge. Check it out if youre in the area!

I am a huge squirrel lover so seeing a giant sculpture of a squirrel was pretty darn cool. Not to mention the beautiful area. It is located close to the Longview Library and within walking distance to Lake Sacajawea. The grounds are a wee bit muddy right now so, watch your step.

Homage to an ingenious thinker who liked rodents with fluffy tails.Large wooden squirrel by locomotive has plaque with the basic story.Turn the way the squirrel is facing and walk to intersection. The Nutty Narrows is overhead.

We love squirrels. Im psyched that the squirrels have learned to make their own bridges and stay safe. Yay squirrels!

Way better, and safer for the squirrels than a plain old fashioned wire...

The most exciting thing about Longview, made more exciting if you hit a local brewery beforehand. Its the tiniest bridge ever, and it is hilarious! I loved it. Had to drive by it a few times though as it is easy to miss. I expected it to go into the central park, I was wrong. When in Longview make sure youre easily entertained.

Cute and kind of hard to find. Once you see the train and the squirrel statue, look up. The bridge is up in the trees. Worth a small detour, especially if you want to have a picnic

“Little men take time to cater to big people who might do them good. Only big men pause to aid little creatures.”Btw there are now several (6 or 7) squirrel bridges around Longview.A small quible: I liked it better in its original location... Should put up one in the original location... Connecting? Perhaps a squirrel freeway interchange?

While not confirmed by official sources, Presidents Bill Clinton (after eating fish and chips at Capn Yobys), George W. Bush and Barack Obama all visited this beloved Americana location. People of all backgrounds travel to this place of spirituality to find clarity in life. Within a few hundred feet, you can leave nuts of gratitude at the feet of the mysterious squirrel shrine. To this day, no one knows where this 20 foot tall squirrel statue came from, only appearing in the midst of a summer lighting storm. Without this Nutty Narrows Bridge, squirrel families would have been separated. Longview founding fathers, as the nations second planned city, made sure that great divide never occurred! This is a strong theory as to why the great squirrel appeared so long ago. Give praise to his generosity and venture to the Nutty Narrows Bridge.#local #squirrel #nuttynarrowsbridge #longview #travel #review #support #washington #Americana
