Just a beautiful local beach. I visit here often. To me this place is a jewel to be treasured. U have the mighty Columbia, trees, birds, get to watch huge ships go by, etc Its a nice place for a family get together, nice place to walk, and a great place to meditate, too. Highly recommend!

Beautiful place to jog n walk. Bring kids for fun n food, great for gatherings & small or large functions/first come first serve.BBQ pits, logs n wood to burn n sit on. Lots of water to get wet, enjoy the sand and boat launch.

Willow Grove is a great place to hangout! And not just in a hammock. Theres beach access for vehicles if youre feeling brave and plenty of room for things like playing catch! Long sidewalks for walks and a public restroom if needed. Also, limited picnic table areas, and some of them have firepits or grills. Enjoy!

Love this park. It’s a favorite of my sons. There’s a playground and beach area. It is super windy here usually when we go. Bring sweatshirts and jackets. I do warn with children and even adults with the water. Unexpectedly the water will get strong and there is a drop off. Boats, ships, and jet skis passing by will unexpectedly cause strong waves sometimes and that can pull people under. Be cautious. Wear a life jacket. If not I play in the water with my kids but literally not allowed past where I am and usually have a hold of one at all times.

What a relaxing place right on the water. A perfect place to read a book and take in the view.

Great place for a lunch with good friends. Beautiful Park. Just wish that kids would wear life jackets. Makes me a bit anxious to see little ones without them. Not one kid was wearing one and they are offered for free.

Super fun place to get away from town without having to travel too far. Barbeque, swim, play at the playground. Lots of fun things to do.

Great walking path as well as a beautiful place to visit. Lots of birds to see and just overall my favorite place. Fun to watch the ships come in as well as a nice sandy beach for walking.

Has a lot of space so you can social distance and still enjoy being outside. No trees to shade though so bring your own or sunblock!

Would be a 4 star, but the playground is closed. The water is decent and if you like waves there are always people on boats, which makes decently high waves. If you really want the best coastal/river experience, i do prefer Gold Beach, OR.

Great place to go to get away from the square, small minded, small town life. Makes you feel like youre not in Longview for the the moment youre there. Peaceful and beautiful.

This a great place on the Columbia River for locals to visit, swim, and relax. The staff there make sure the park stays clean. Just be cautious of the constant jet skiers playing around the beach. They usually stay away from the swimmers, but be cautious just the same.

Excellent place to launch or enjoy the view and picnic. Port of Longview was very helpful as well 5 stars

The park was just redone last year and it is amazing plus what a view! It makes for fun trips to river year round

Since the Port of Longview took over the park, the improvement has been dramatic. The docks are in great shape. The bathrooms are clean and working. On top of this, they removed the launch fee. Kudos!

Willow Grove park and boat launch is a local favorite. It sits right on the Columbia River. Theres a playground, an ADA walking path, and a beach. Check it out.

This is a great place for parties and to let the kids play. There should be a specific area for fishing and swimming since fishermen get angry when kids are playing near them on the beach. A roped off swim area would be great. A few more shelters with bbqs would be amazing too.

Water was great, everyone was very careful to stay within their groups and stayed more than 6 feet away from others. There was minimal garbage, and the free-to-use life vests were in good shape!

The very large park lies on the bank of the Columbia River. We saw people fishing there, mostly on the west end. There is a lot of parking and multiple restrooms. The current of the Columbia is deceptively strong here. Beware! It is also close enough to the ocean that tides affect the shore level.

Beautifull place to spent the time with family, and warm the body. Playing speedboat and learn new trick of this. But this is very dangerous because there is an ocean going vessel from and to columbia river.

Awesome sights and great place to swim dont forget to bring a life jacket for the babies and dont swim to do super cold in the months of April-jun3 but warms up perfectly around end of July and August too.

Not worth going too. everything is dead, security just harasses you. much rather drive across town to the Kalama marina. Port of Longview needs to make this place better

This is my local park and great place to walk and relax and swim with my girl.it is also a really nice boat launch with nice docks and a huge parking lot.

No longer a dog friendly beach. This place was chill for decades. It was a great place to walk your dog and let them splash around in the water. NoW it’s mismanaged, almost all the trees are gone, there’s signs everywhere about all the things you can’t do.The last of the natural parks where you were free to enjoy yourself is now gone.

Love having this place so close to my home. Great place to walk the dog, and get some fresh air. The shelters are nice in case it rains- and they provide a nice place to sit and have lunch. The beach is fun for the kids to climb around on drift wood, and dig when its warm out.

Beautiful drive...really nice and relaxing. Cant wait to go back.

Beautiful park to bring kids (furry or talkative)

I have been going to Willow Grove Park for 20+ years. I tend to drive out there a couple times a month to sit by the beautiful Columbia river and just enjoy the sounds of nature. In the summer it can get a little more noisy with boats and jet skis, but the park is beautiful. They have numerous gazebos and picnic tables set up, little camp grills to cook on, public restrooms that are usually clean. We even recently held a family reunion with about 30 people there and it was a blast. Its also a wonderful place to watch the sunset, or watch as the various ships motor on past.

The park is huge and has plenty of space to handle ANY type of gathering. It is cared for with a 24/7 park host on site. It is owned and cared for by the Port of Longview. As far as I know, you dont need reservations and it is free for public use.

Just discovered this beautiful park. Picnic areas and playground for kids. Sandy beach and gorgeous scenery. Peaceful and clean.

Willow grove park is a no fee park, situated on the Columbia river, just a few minutes off Ocean Beach hwy. Beautiful family recreation area, but lifejackets neccesary to be safe. Its a offers on site park staff, clean restrooms, many picknic tables, clean sandy beach, beautiful sunsets, large parking areas that can accomodate towing trailers, boats or oversized vehicles. One exit away is a boat lauch with a small fee required. Good fishing, swimming picnicking CLOSED AT SUNSET

Best ramp that i know of. Multiple launch ramps and fresh bathrooms not to mention the walking trails and great views of the columbia river.

Lots of beach for lots of people. There are BBQ pits, picnic tables and working bathrooms. Place gets packed because theres a boat launch with lots of parking. Theres also a playground but I think its closed because of the pandemic.

Been going here since I could remember. It has a wonderful view and its pretty secluded. It also has grills and tables with roofs on them. There I a playground for children and I has several restrooms. There is also a boat launch here, I dont know much about it because Ive never used it but its there. Lots of parking spaces available.

Great spot to just enjoy the day. Dogs are supposed to be on leash, but saw plenty without. Oh well, nobody follows rules that arent enforced. Pretty cool spot. Lots of little clam shells and driftwood. I had to remind myself a few times that its on the river and not an ocean beach.

Picked up some trash, and a couple pieces of glass. There are few places in longview for people to get away, it would be nice if people wouldnt ruin things for everybody.

The beach is well maintained even durning the summer when it heavily used. Its completely free to use, witch is amazing. But where willow grove really stands out is, its amazing boat dock and the newer kids park that they have put in. All around its the perfect place for anyone to have fun during the summer.

Beautiful place with outstanding views. Family oriented park. Just updated the bathrooms. Love the bright color. Much easier to see in there. Take your garbage and diapers to the garbage can. This park will remain free if we all do our park.

Beautiful Park on the Columbia River. I was out for a morning stroll.. The beach was clean, no trash. The walkways were in good condition. This park is very wheelchair/walker friendly. You can expect to find many picnic tables, excellent beach access an awesome playground for the kids, BBQ grills and on-site park managers. If you go to Willow Grove, do not swim without a lifejacket. The undertows are very dangerous.

Good spot for space

There is a separate boat launch area, picnic tables, and a childrens play structure. I went there as part of my short run for the day and will definitely be back with the family!

Just had a great time watching the Longview yacht club Christmas boat parade.

Lots if drift wood and rocks for those who collect, no fee to get in but playground still taped off.

Amazing sunsets, watch the ships pass by, loads of covered and uncovered bbq areas, enough room to have piece if mind.

Really great park! Water access with a nice beach, picnic spots with a table and firepit and bbq area. They also have life jackets available for the kiddos! We really enjoyed it there!

The park and mini beach are perfect for families, especially with very small children and kids. The sand is soft and good for building sand castles. Everything is within a short distance of each other. Very fun and worth visiting if youre nearby.

You can play with the kids and have a nice view of the river at the same time.

I love this park fun it is close to town. Just make sure you are ready to go as soon as the sunsets. The park lady that locks the gate in winter is a snatch. She drove in front of my car tonight to block me from picking up my kids at the park. Seriously lady in the silver 4 door sedan the sun just started to set. Ill be back despite your rude ways, this place is to beautiful not to.
