Walking this area is very nice, but watch out for droppings from both geese and dogs. Still felt amd smelt clean, but I did not check the restrooms. Fishing was fun. Plus side most areas have few weeds which makes lure fishing better. Negatives are little no no shade by the ponds edge, at pond 1 at least. (Decent shade on the walking paths). Big sign right at the entry gives good clear rules and regs. (Be sure to check out the back side of the sign for interesting info about the ongoing project to flood proof the area)
Great place to have lunch and go for a walk all while social distancing.
Very pretty. Wish I had more time to hang out there.
Great park. It was definitely a little more run down and scetchy but was very beautiful!
I love this place. Its a great place to walk, fish, bird watch, and just enjoy nature. There are all kinds of waterfowl, and this time of year the geese and ducks have hatched. Theres also beavers that we have spotted several times. This is also a great place to fish. Pond #3, the first one you come to, has been great for trout fishing this year. Each of the ponds has different regulations, so be sure to check the signs.
I enjoy walking with my family here and the fact that you can fish there is awesome as well!
There are so many trails, beautiful views, a waterfall on the river. People can run, walk, walk their dogs, bike, ride skateboards and scooters. The fishing is fantastic.
Beautiful. Easy to walk about with simple paths and wildness all about. Plenty of areas to walk around. Good fishing. Picnic areas.
Beautiful Pond with lots of benches with places to fish very polite nice people and very clean and well-maintained.
Its a nice place to be good bird watching in the morning and after noon good fishing too there could be a park ranger there cause theres some people talking small bass and blue gill and taking them home
Beautiful but not natural. It is man made to replicate nature. Great place for walking and mountain view.
I saw Heron and Bald Eagles on my last walk there. Lots of room for social distancing.
Lots of picnic spaces, hidden trails, and great views. Could be maintained a little more however.
It was ok. If you want to exercise its perfect. If you want to fish and have great etc it is in kind of a long way to get inside. We ended up just fishing by the parking lot because we had a lot of gear and kids. There are fish out there. Saw them jumping. Caught several small croppies
Longmont is one of nicest Front Range towns with the nicest parks. This location juts west of town begins a paved path for pedestrians, cyclists and skaters that will take you all the way to Sandstone Ranch east of town winding along the St Vrain River. Lots of fishing here and you can spot beavers in locations along the path. You can sidetrack to the Boulder County Fairgrounds or keep walking east and stop and have a beer at Left Hand Brewery. Try their Milk Stout Nitro which is actually served in a few pubs in Dublin, IR.
Nice trails perfect for walking your dog.
This is a beautiful park, this time of year green grass and geese all over the place. Its an amazing testament to Colorados beauty. If youre in the area stop by take a walk youll love it.
Good park! Great waterfall. Watch out for goose poop
Seriously my new favorite spot close to my new home in Longmont !!! I found it on my Alltrails app and WOW this place did not disappoint!!! My new happy place, my new go-to thinkspot. I rode my bike there and picnicked for a few hours. Lots of runners, hikers, cyclists, photographers ... Yet still enough space and landscape for privacy. Dont miss this gem of a park / trail!
Great place to walk alone or with your dog. Beautiful views!
Great place to walk. Many convenient benches to rest or simply relax. Excellent views of the mountains. Several large lakes to enjoy. Fishing is permitted. Bike and dog friendly.
Ive spotted beaver, swan, blue heron, bald eagle, and an assortment of small song and wet land birds along the nicely paved trails with under road walkways along major road crossings.
Beautiful place great to walk around with the kids.
Beautiful....have to watch the Canadian geese
Fun for fishing and very safe to take you kids or walking around the holdings pounds you
I love this place though it seemed somewhat unkept at parts. Otherwise I always have a fun experience.
Beautiful spot for a quick walk.
Fairly nice park, though if bugs are a problem you will get bitten up here.
Beautiful!! Did very well fishing and apparently the Bald Eagle did also!!
Golden Pond should be called Green Pond. I visited today & was very disappointed. Saw a woman passed out in the grass. Not the kind of place youd want to be after dark.
All was good in the neighborhood. Park was great and somewhat quiet... loved the swans.
Half mile hike around pond thats doable in most weather conditions with great photo opportunities!
Nice place to take a walk or run.
Nice quite park good fishing, nice clean walk paths
Nice quiet little park beautiful scenery fishing
Love, love, love it here! Peaceful and absolutely stunning scenery. There is even a waterfall which is so cool to see when it freezes over. One of our favorite places to walk with the whole family.
Its beautiful. Love the lakes and the small waterfall.
Well maintained and has police patrol.
I e place to hike in this city park. People like here but the parking space is limited
One of my favorite places to fish. Been fishing here since I was a child. Plenty of water to fish and a quiet spot to catch some ray, and some fish! Bluegill, bass, trout, catfish !
Went here with my friends when they came here to visit. It was a nice little accidental find. There was a little snow on the grounds so it made it kind of slick. Would definitely go back!!!
Great park to walk, bike, run, and take in the views of the Front Range. Great with the fall color change, and offers enough shade in the summer to escape any heat. Great little park in an unexpected location with a small lots. Plenty of fishing available and have seen horses a few times walking the trails here as well. If youre passing by after work, this is a solid place to stop and relax or decompress.
Big parkLots of waterLots of treesWaterfallConnects to other parks via st. Vrain Greenway
Safe, clean, extremely kid friendly and a very beautiful place to relax or take a walk
Lovely- today we saw a turtle basking in the sun
My heart and soul lives in this park.
A beautiful place to walk your dog. In all seasons.
Nice. Anytime of year.
Super relaxing and quiet walking area with wide sidewalk, which is great when you have kids and pushing a stroller. I have notice last summer, there was quite a bit more trash laying around the area then normal but great opportunity to teach little ones about being respected n helping keep places they enjoy clean.
Excellent fishing, tons of places to bbq.
Nice ponds.
There alot of trails that a person can walk around and fish if so desire
Good for a stroll. Has been busy due to covid.
One of our favorite places to walk our dog. Very disappointed at the amount of fishing line tangled in dead tree that is protruding the water. This weekend counted at least 10 death traps to the wildlife. Does anyone care about cleaning this up?
Nice place for walking and fishing .
Very beautiful place to go for a run or walk.
Great place to walk.
I was amazed by the number of bird species I saw when visiting for the first time! Seems like plenty of fish in the lake due to the number of pelicans and cormorants. A nesting osprey was observed as well. Numerous ponds and trails along them provide for an array of activities. Bathrooms were a bonus too!
Great area to walk and bike, fantastic scenery...
The place looks very run down. The bathrooms are so disgusting. The water levels are almost depleted. But its a nice walk and still has beauty. Its a mixed feeling about this park
Plenty of room to roam.
I love this park! It is a place to think, meditate and meet other like minded people.
Beautiful. Great walk and views. Fishing access
Great place for fishing running and for kids.
Great place for a walk with your dog (on leash). Its a little gem right here in Longmont.
Awesome park for a lovely stroller walk, a few miles long. Some shade, just a couple hundred feet down the path from the parking lot, there is a nice waterfall over a bridge. Parts are shaded, but mostly uncovered.
A nice little park to go to for a walk, a run or a bike ride. The other day we went and a couple ladies were having a photo shoot. Just a nice, quaint park with a cute waterfall
Pretty decent. Love the fishing
Golden Ponds had been a family favorite place to go for years...but the last time we visited, the benches for sitting in and enjoying the gorgeous mountain scenery around the lake were so overgrown with weeds no one wanted to sit down.
Good place for bird watching. Parking could be difficult if you go in the evenings/ weekends as it is a popular spot for birding. Good for running too. Can make up a 3-4 Mike route around the different trails.
Cool little pondBut not much to do here. Kinda stinks too
Good open space. Lots of space to fish, jog hang out with out seeming crowded
The ponds are not Golden, dont fall for the lies.
Unfortunately, the big flood seems to have wrecked the fish habitats and pond #3 is currently just a shallow mud pit. It had a great reputation and a fantastic view of longs peak so Ill have to check it out again some time.
Just a relaxing place, near home.
We love this trail for playdate with friends - so many great areas to explore! And a ton of animals to watch ️
Neat place with a good Mountain View.
Great walking paths around the ponds. Cant wait for the stepping stones to re emerge! Also love the bike repair station! Great concept!
Couple of beaver families living in these ponds. Very serene. Pack bugspray for sunset viewings
A fav place for a break when on a bike ride, outdoor rest room and roofed picnic tables, public bike tools and near a water feature. It is at the junction of multiple walking and bike paths. Choice of paved or groomed trail surfaces... Enjoy
Great mountain views and fishing...
Too many people lol
Its ok.. could be better muds everywhere bring your rubber rain boots.. not your beautiful walking shoes! Otherwise its great!!! stay on the cement pathway that does not go around the lake
Great place to walk your dogs when the weather is nice.
Its a place in CO with water! But that means some bugs
I just thoroughly enjoy riding my bike around Golden Ponds and the entire greenway.
Best nature walk in Longmont. Gets icy in winter.
Favorite park ever
Its a nice quiet place to take an afternoon stroll or drop a fishing line into the water. Everyone is very friendly and they keep to themselves. Too many dogs off leash.
