Only a few blocks away from busy metropolitan downtown this lush green grass park with hundred foot tall trees with 50% plus shaded, swings, running, playground structure and benches all around. Nearly surrounded by higher end real estate and a school around the perimeter...almost pretty enough for a wedding. ;)

Nice place with a decent sized pavilion. We usually have a yearly event here, but COVID had other plans this year. Still, theres enough room for small informal groups to get together.

Its a big park with a lot of trees, so a lot of shade. Great for kids. There are two play structures, one for toddlers and the other for older kids. Theres also 4 swings, two of them for babies. They put sand on the ground which is amazing for kids. Its a great place for picnic or to play football.

No better park in Longmont for treeshade! The history of Thompson Park and surrounding neighborhood only adds to its charm. Lots of old-growth trees hold stories of people and numerous special events(like the annual July 4th concert) through the decades occurring under their branches. Great playground area for younger kids. Street parking. Short walk to downtown Longmont.

One of the best.Shaded throughout by lovely mature trees, a pretty nice playground with two jungle gyms, one suitable for toddlers and the other for bigger kids + a few swings. Two covered shelters with grills, a bathroom open seasonally, a gazebo and a small flower garden that specializes in white blooms.Like I said, good stuff.

This is a nice park in Longmont. Plenty of places to spread out a blanket and have a picnic. There are swings and a slide for kids. There is a sheltered area with picnic tables and a gazebo type of structure. It is off main in a residential area. So it is quiet and relaxing. Quite a few cute squirrels too. If you are looking for a low key park, this one should suit you well.
